aflynvir: Hi all, had my interview today! 'twas a funny day. Yeah, met @samkunze! He knows my story but not al! I was driving from Ketu at 4:00am when the car I was driving climbed the BRT demarcator, so I was delayed for 2hrs mind and used my visa fees to tow the car out of the accident! The car was still okay. I parted with 11k total to tow vehicle and agberos. Somebody thinks this is a joke. 'twas out of my visa fee! Now I got to embassy by 7:45 due to the serious mess. Our Igbo friend at the gate was about to write LATE on my appointment letter when he changed his mind that he will try whether the visa old woman will still accept me! He sent security inside. Later he got an intercom call and looked at me and said you are lucky. That was like past 9, some other people that were late had been bounced. When you are bounced, sorry! That's all! I got to reception! It was a black guy that wa there so he asked are you the one that was late, I said yes! He sha collected my rzzxodocs. Then later the old white woman came for me! REMEMBER I HAD SPEND 11k out of it. Then she asked of money I started telling stories! She shouted "what! You should have told me earlier and I've registered you. I will cancel it and that's all for your appointment and all days have been booked in October" I was calm and God gave me confidence so I her that she should pls find a way out of it, after we argued she agreed to pay for me BUT HELD MY PASSPORT AND RECEIPT till tomorrow when I bring the money and wrote a note as gate pass! She then did biometrics and interview. He wasn't smiling but I must say she saved my day! That made her nice. Then she was like "what of if everybody does the same thing will she pay for everybody" I thanked her more. He asked EXACTLY THE SAME QUESTIONS POSTED ON THE FORUM, so thanks to TOPE, GODSON and all other NL peeps! This is not fiction o! I met @samkunze! 'twas just tragedy that became miracle. I will go and pay the German lady tomorrow.
Guy!! yours is a miracle i tell you. i knew you were saying the truth when you said the old german lady exclaimed "what!!". she does that a lot lol. how was she like during the interview? were there times when she yelled at you? i think she a very nice woman in the inside.

tossbal4real: Hi dmiroika, am looking to do an msc in geology at the university of freiburg. Can you please advise on how to go about the application process from your experience. Although I have already done a background work on this but I would appreciate whatever info you can give me as this would aid me in several ways. Thanks.
hello, good to know that you did geology at U.I. how is Prof Adeyemi(engr. geo and hydro)? He supervised my final year project in 2010. although i didnt study at U.I, but I was always at the department for one reason or the other.

With regards to admission application at freiburg, I downloaded the application form, filled it and sent it to the university's Geology department with the following documents (in certified photocopies):
Bsc transcript
Bsc certificate
CV
letter of motivation
IELTS result (not sure if this is compulsory though but definitely gives an edge)
O'level result

sent the application package through nipost and the school got it within two weeks. I think thats all. let me know if you require more info pls

The program is Msc economics or Bsc finance for instance, structure is the number of semesters,(Msc is three taughtsemesters and one semester for the writing of thesis), curriculum are the courses you'll be doing(check your course website for these).

Are you still coming to university of freiburg?

hello guys! i've gone for the interview today.. I was interviewed buy an old German woman upstairs. Everything went fine except for the fact that the woman flares up whenever i gave answers she didn't seem fit for the questions being asked.

I guess the way we interprete questions are quite different from the way the Germans do. I also noticed the Germans to be direct, they don't like being flattered or reminded of their achievements. All the german men i saw at the embassy were very nice, smile at you, help you with stuff that you're not familiar with.. etc., but the woman almost changed my perspevtive about them sha.. she was kinda' rude. I almost attributed her attitude with racism but i'm not the kind of person the jumps into conclusion so i'll settle for "rude".

I got all her questions right except when she asked about how the structure of my program is, i thought she meant modules so i was telling her the courses i'll be doing lol.. I just hope that this alone won't affect the visa approval anyway. My passport got stamped and she said they'll get back to me. I took off immediately!

Bottom line is that it went fine (or so i think), thanks to all those that wished me luck.

Mickom: You are free to go with duplicate of the transfer u got nothing to worry about. But make sure you transfer complete money 8090Euro ooo and print out the copy of account open DB sent to you along with the bank duplicate teller.
Are you sure that the duplicate teller can be used? Have you attempted it? Because from what I see on mine there was no stamp on it. I even asked the bank official that handled it and she said since she signed it then it's valid.
Travel › Re: German Embassy And Visa by dmitroika(m): 4:13pm On Aug 15, 2013
SimplyD: He will definitely be turned away, probably not by the Nigerians but by the German consular, as the teller does not prove that he blocked the specified sum of money in his account; and this is from personal experience.

I am quite sure you will receive it before your interview date, but to be on the safer side u should call the customer care as topeajis suggested or you can use the "contact" tab on their website.
I have a similar issue, sent my funds on tuesday and wednesday so I was kinda' worried that I might not get a notification from the deutsche bank before my appointment date which is next tuesday, so I mailed the embassy. I got a reply almost immediately and I'm gonna paste their response below.

" On the day of interview, you can just submit the proof that you have a
blocked account and that you have transfered money on it.

Kind regards.

So I think with this reply from them, an evidence that you opened an account (maybe the little slip they gave you when you went to open your account at the embassy) and a TELEX print. A TELEX print is the print out of the foreign transfer of funds that you did. If your bank didn't give you please go back there to demand for it. It is different from the teller duplicate oh! Ask for it! Wish us all the best.
