aflynvir: which kind of faculty coordinator is that, if you mail that of engineering she replies! What of if you google the foreigners office and get their contact and mail them

i got a website of the foreign office kind of but there's no email address on it, just phone number, and the number is being answered by the machine. i've sent several mails to the school though. what course are you going for?

nofin yet o, i even mailed my course coordinator but yet to get a response. and embassy keeps saying that they are waiting for the foreign office's decision. i really dont know what to do anymore

aflynvir: nah he shouldn't just wait. We are going to the same school and I contacted my faculty coordinator who immediately called the Foreigners office. She then contacted me that the foreigners office have promised to approve it later in the week, but asked for the Lagos embassy mail. I sent it then she sent them a mail, in fact she copied me. Later the embassy replied her that the foreigners office just sent the approval and they would contact me soon. So now that has lifted my spirits. You know say me I don book for flight I no fit fold hands and I think it's worked out positively already.

No news yet o, mailed them today and they said i should be patient that they are "waiting to receive a consent from the competent consular authority in Germany".

Ogbeche77: but since the letter from the lecturer is a formal one, it ll bear the name of the German uni, I don't think he can photocopy such & address to other uni he wants to apply to again

the lecturer doesn't have to put the name of the school, letters of recommendation can be addressed to 'to whom it may concern'

With a joyful heart I like to share my joy to serve as hope to others like me who where worried considering d delay.
I got my mail yday and I collected my visa 2day.it could only have been God,don't stop believing yours will come sooooooooon
My interview was on d 20th of Aug and I got that long awited sweet mail yday 19th Sept.1 LOVE to everyone who kept encouraging and praying for us.

Godson201333: I am sorry to say but if your visa got denied it is simply because you already got bad mind cos of the old woman that Interview you.I tell you something ,without that woman signature and consent,nobody get student visa out of German embassy in Lagos

If i were you,I would have keep fasting and praying.Also i would be positive about everything.

She is just there doing her job and i do not expect her to be laughing with everyone.

don't get it wrong; i'm not having a bad mind against anyone at the embassy. As a matter of fact after my interview i said it here that she was friendly towards the end which seems to be the same thing other people experienced.. it's only natural to get curious after waiting for something for a very long time, we need to know whats up with our visa application so as to begin to prepare for the travelling.. lots of things to plan for. I stay positive.

topeajis: Dont worry about who interviewed if u give a Good Response to her questions then u Good to go. Ans One Thing is that if u gönna be rejected they will do that a week After Ur Interview so may be na ur City foreigner Office They Delay of try and Contact Ur School about it SHA some School are always Nice and help student with ish like dis..

i'm beginning to get worried about this waiting issue, someone who had his interview on the 28th of august have been given a visa and i had mine on the 20th of august. Is it taking long because i'm going to the city of freiburg in the state of baden-wutternberg? perharp they have lots of applications because there are almost 7 universities in freiburg alone.

but another thing is that those whose visa application got rejected were interviewed by the german elderly woman, and most people that says they've gotten their visas were interviewed by the friendly young german lady. na the elderly woman interview me oh. I know all will be well sha, just getting curious.

first my school, universitat leipzig, took their decision on the 9th of september, and i got a pdf 2 days later (11th of october cos i was not initially notified via e-mail, i just mailed them and was replied with a pdf). The letter says that i may register on the 30th september or 1st,2nd and 4th of october. i filled for a blocked account on Monday, 16th October. i mailed the embassy for an appointment date and they declined, saying i should defer to summer( the course no get summer); then i had to contact the school to mail the embassy on my behalf, which they did..... To cut the story short, i was later booked for 8th October(blocked account should be ready then). The thing is, if all things go psitive, my ViSA would be ready by probably 3rd week of october, which is definitely after the end of the registration period. i just feel it will be too late for me and i dont want to assume there should be grace on the resumption date given to international student. Abeg, guys over there, what do you think about grace given for resumption?

another particular scare is the content of the email the sent to the embassy, which i translated via google:

"Dear Ms. Renee Delouvain, I am writing to you in the case of xxxxx. Mr. xxxx could be admitted for the winter semester 2013/14 in the waiting list for the program in Structural Chemistry and Spectroscopy at the University of Leipzig. I would appreciate if you could if possible give him a date for his student visa. A letter of acceptance for the summer term can not be issued and he could apply again only in one year. Thank you in advance. Sincerely yours"

nothing to worry about brother, you can only be 'admitted' after 'enrolment' which is what we call 'registration' here in Nigeria. so as long as they have given you admission you are on the school's waiting list until when you enroll at the school and commence lectures. the same applies to all students. this is my answer to the best of my knowledge..

hello tope, godson, angel diamond and all our ogas in the house, like i said i have gone for my interview since 20th august so i sent a mail to the embassy yesterday and this as their reply. what do you think the outcome of this reply will be?

"Dear Sir,

please note that the regular procedure takes between 4-6 weeks.
As you just applied on 20/08/13 you need to be patient.

As soon as the competent authority in Germany sends the necessary reply,
I will let you know.

i haven't secured accomondation o, infact i've applied on the studenwerk stuff but they are yet to reply me. i know accomondation is gonna be an issue at freiburg

3.what is d meaning of the" D" written on d passport after interview.

I was interviewed on 20th of August also and they have all my documents. They wrote D on my stamped passport page too. i don't think you have anything to worry about. they should get back to us latest by next monday (all things being equal).
