hello Topeajis and other nairalanders that are in Germany, can you guys please tell us about how part-time jobs prospects are in Germany? Is the place welcoming for blacks (i mean racism)? what are the general opinions of Ngerians there? how hard/easy can it be to get a part-time job? thanks in advance.
Music/Radio › Re: Are Ladies Respected In Nigerian Music Videos? by dmitroika(m): 12:08pm On May 11, 2013
I think these musicians uses unclad ladies to compliment the nonsense music they are producing, or how else will they sell. Michael Jackson is a good example, he doesn't show nonsense in his videos- very decent guy. his kind of videos are such that you can watch with your grandma without either of you feeling awkward. yet he was/is the best selling artist of all time, best entertainer of all time.

Alicia keys is a good example too, yet she sells her albums 'conveniently'. My stand is that 'birds of a feather flocks together', if you're cheap you are cheap, the artists showing these unclad ladies off are no different from the unclad ladies, they are equals in everything.

2buff: You speak as if when the business is started she is ASSURED to run it. You cannot force someone to run a business they don't care about or are passionate about.

The only way she could run a business is if SHE HERSELF pesters you to invest in her starting one, not that you just package one business and give to her. She will see no value in it. Basically, she would need to manifest and exhibit a degree of hussle!
i wish whoever marries you the best... now don't attempt to get rude else i will be back for you sad

hmm.. see maths, the rate of unemployment would not reduce bro, it would only be evident every 2years. for instance, 1 million corps members enters the labour market yearly, but if the 2 years stuff is implemented, it would be 2million corps members every 2years.. you know what that means? it means massive churning out of desperate graduates every 2years.. it increases tension, the scenerio becomes the survival of the "most fittest"! but wait.. who are those people advising president jonathan? i hope they are not fishermen sad

[quote author=kelly4top]If you see the way Nigerians are speaking Deutsche like say na their muttersprache. They make the things so easy. I admire them.
Here is important information for the house.....
...... ones you have converted ur 3 months visa issued from Nigeria to the residence permit the foreigners office will give you, then you can select a job. I use the word select because work full here die pass the people sef but u must have basic knowledge of German A1 language to do that.
......some guys i have met here earns up to 10-15 euros per hour and depends on how many hours u can work daily without affecting your studies.

...for football. i dont know yet but there are sporting facilities and football clubs in school. if u sabi play well ur star fit shine from there cos they might pick u if u go for good football competitions where u can meet people/coaches.

Transport is free here once u present ur students card during weekends. Like today i went to one African church in close by city and went on tour with my guys to different cities and no dime was paid on transport. only week ends oh. fry 7pm to sunday 11.59pm

Foods cheap here but meat cheap pass. but no better food oh except rice. 6 cups of rice is 0.89 cent. so so bugger and all those oyibo food. maybe with time i will get use to it but now egusi and okror dey hungry me die although u can get it in African shops if u get money to spend.

Lectures and professor here are so nice at least i have 2 yrs university experience in Nigeria and i can tell u that here they teach u to know it unlike naija where u will ask prof question he wil tell u to go and buy hand-out. Just see facilities and equipment everywhere. Practicals everywhere.. tell me why will u forget ...

The city people here are friendly and the weather is moderate unlike North which is very cold. most speak English in southern region here.

I wish u all successful trip to Germany the heart of Europe. Tope & Flange... i greet unua ooohhh. We go talk for whatsapp.

i'm happy for you bro, congrats.. yeah i hav a few questions for you.. 1) what city are you and how many schools did you apply to, how many gave you admission? thanks bro
Romance › Re: Some Ladies Tolerate Abusive Relationships: Why? by dmitroika(m): 2:36pm On Mar 12, 2013
hello everyone, i thougt i was just gonna view comments and have fun but i just have to lay my experience on this issue.
During my NYSC days around 2011, i met this lady i was dating, she was graduate, had a good job, nice car.. infact she was the financial director at my PPA. now this lady's had a lot of failed relationships before she met me, and all her ex has something in common- they beat her. here's the surprise i wanna share.. there was this day she and I had a heated argument.. she told me that only "real" mean have the courage to beat their girlfriends.. that i wasn't man enough that's why i don't hit her.. i couldn't believe my ears. she said i have to beat her whenever she flaws.. then i should give her a good bleep to pet her.. in that way, she feels like a "real" woman. now this is a true story, women are almost impossible to understand.. some could be bizarre.. you might wanna call her a slut.. but most women who thinks like this ain't sluts.. they are just different- impossible to understand. Although i've broken up with her.. i just can't ever forget her.. she was too good to be true.
Education › Re: 3rd Class Degree, Or No Degree At All: Which Is Better? by dmitroika(m): 9:36pm On Mar 09, 2013
pro01: Lecturers prey on vulnerable girls in virtually all public schools in Nigeria. By 'vulnerable', I mean academic vulnerability. However, in many of such schools, lecturers typically avoid girls that are very strong academically. They can't risk failing a girl whose script is 2.1 standard and can stand the strictest scrutiny by independent markers. That's why they settle for the less 'capable' girls, who, thankfully (for the lecturers) are often in the majority, and are often more beautiful and sexually appealing than the brilliant girls anyway. Those ones struggling to make 2.2 are the easiest preys. Randy lecturers hardly disturb academically above average girls. The risks far outweigh the reward.

That is a sweeping declaration, and it probably indicates sour grapes. Then again, it depends on the school in question. I know for sure that most 2.1 and 1st Class graduates in reputable federal schools such as UI, OAU, UNN, UNILORIN, etc. earned it, while only a few forced their way in with help. I can't say the same for your school (and many other private and state-owned institutions).

If you're dating the sort of man that can "deal with" someone (I assume the 'street' way), then I guess you're not so squeaky clean as to evade the lecturer's advances at the cost of a good degree. In any case, bringing your man into the situation is a sure way of not graduating at all. Thank goodness you knew better.
just a question for you sir, are you still in Nigeria?

ItsModella: But why are some people making it seem like those who insulted her during BBA should now be experiencing guilty consciences. Did they kill her? People have died, people have said trash about other people, this is not any different. Given the circumstances then, some people only voiced their opinions which might not have been favorable to Goldie.

I have always had my opinion about Goldie (was never a fan) and it's not gonna change because she's dead. At the same time, it doesn't mean that I don't want her to rest in peace. So some of you should stop making it seem as if we should have a bout of guilty conscience because she's dead.

jennykadry: Honey, nursing I think it's a 1.5 years course, you stand a better chance at sponsorship in regional than city.
Fashion design- I don't know much about for international students re sponsorship

I don't make decisions for people but I will tell you what, I lived in Germany for a while before i Moved to Australia. There were student jobs in Germany but they have very good schools there. So if you move there, be prepared to ask for help from Nigeria.

In Australia, there are so many jobs for students, the question is do you have the strength for work? I am more satisfied and fulfilled here In Australia

3. 6500 is not bad, you can save at least 4-5 k before next semester is due depending
@jenny lol i have the strength for work, i just need the work to be available.. thanks a lot. i'm doing advanced diploma in process plant technology at freemantle, then i'll proceed for masters. is freemantle a good place for both student jobs? is it regional?

@jennykendry.. thanks for the good work ma'am, you have no idea how much we appreciate you here. i have a rather complicated question but i beleive that you are in the beast position to answer it since you've schooled both in germany and in australia. my questions are:
1) i have 2 options of travelling dis year to study and my options are germany and australia, so now i hav to chose the one with the better prospects. i know you dont like to take decisions for people but i just want you to advise based on your experience in both countries.

2) is there a possibility of me working in australia (while i study) to pay my TAFE tuition fees amongst other utility bills? (my tafe tuition fee is 6500AUD per semester)

please i need you to answer the questions based on what your experience is.. thanks... smiley

Tell us what you think of Australia? I remember the first time I stepped foot in Australia, I just knew I was where I should be. There was no fear, no doubt no nothing. In Europe I was scared the minute I got off the plane, I travelled as a kid but never expressed that kind of fear before then. So when I got to Australia, I was waiting for that same feeling but it never happened
@jenny you make a lot of sense with your contributions i tell you.. what a wonderful question!

Here is my situation, i wanna do a 6 months diploma course in australia so i will probably be given a 6months visa, but while i'm there i will like to further by doing a 1 year masters program. so would i have to return to Nigeria before i can apply for a visa? or can i lodge an application there in australia before the expiration of my 6months visa? thanks.
