I like reading your posts any time I come across them not because I like the content but for the good lexis and structure. That aside, I think your comments degrade the status of former presidents and heads of state. Are you unmindful of the approved remuneration of former leaders aside the numerous patronage they get from all and sundry? Politics aside, should Buhari pay a visit to Fayose in his private capacity, what form of reception do you think Fayose will give him giving his status as a former head of state and, most importantly a GCFR?
It is only a society populated by insane beings that will watch while its ex leaders descend into a state of penury.

Most responses in this thread against the posted stat make me feel that just kicking out GEJ from Aso Rock won't be enough. Imagine Ng wake raising doubt over a $1b dollar defence budget in the early 80's. Back then there was proper budgeting usually based on short, medium, and long term plan. Total federal budget then hover around N10 -12b. The military had the larges chunk which elicited some complaints.
The military was well equipped then from continuous purchase of hardware. Compare to the rag tag army that we have now many will yearn for the return of that era.

However, the issue that begs clarification is how the screening panel that cleared Buhari to be admitted to the Nigerian military school did so without him having the requisite qualification? But more importantly, what where the qualification needed then to enter the school? Was there any authorised waiver? Overall, all that has been said here is assumptions including my humble post. Buhari owes no individual any duty to display his certificates publicly if he and his party feel that the constitutional demands to contest for the presidency have been met. Anything outside this should be pursued within the confines of the rule of law.
Meanwhile, we trudge onward towards FeBruari 14.

He confirmed that indeed there was a fracas today at the Bauchi Road junction. However, he said the rampage was an intra-partyPDP crisis involving rival PDP party members in Kanke town, Kanke council area of Plateau state, who were expressing theiranger over the imposition of the PDP governorship candidate, Senator Pwajok, on them in the state.Trouble started when the youths clashed with the supporters of the governorship candidate who had gone to welcome him backfrom the PDP rally in Lagos.The APC had no hand whatsoever in the clash. This is done so as to set the records straight and caution scattergun analysts to let the trigger be. It is rather too late to begin to whip up Bolekaja sentiments now!
