Pay more attention to the details. It was reported recently that the army sacked a training camp to Wike's militia. Prior to that security agencies have been arresting and neutralising many of Wike's goons so much that the governor had to ask for the replacement of some security officials. Wike of before not same Wike of today. This has given APC a lot of breathing space than before. The FG won't give him any room to train and put troops on ground again.

CrimeNewsboko Haram: Again, Nigerian Army Issues Warning Over False Report On Attacks by docadams(op): 10:50pm On Nov 30, 2018
The Nigerian Army has again cautioned against what it called deliberate and concerted efforts to mislead the public through inaccurate and false publication of casualty figures on the unfortunate attacks on some of its locations in the North East

A statement from Sani Usman, Brigadier General, the Director Army Public Relations on Friday said the latest of this worrisome development was the attack on troops’ location at Metele, Borno State.

He said some persons and media outlets had continued to circulate various wrong accounts and inaccurate casualty figures of troops without efforts to verify from the military

He said, “This is coming at the heels of our release of 28th November 2018 in which we gave accurate details of the attacks and casualty figures in a bid to set the records straight and inform the public true account of things.

“We also promised to continuously carry the public along through accurate and timely information dissemination on operations and other activities of the Nigerian Army in the release.

“However, it was observed that the trend continued unabated. Most of these inaccurate, false reports and fake news were aimed at denigrating the leadership of the Nigerian Army.

“Regrettably, the rate at which some mischievous persons ignorantly attack the Armed Forces of Nigeria, especially the Nigerian Army is very alarming and unfortunate.

“This is deliberate attempt to demoralise the Nigerian Army which would have devastating consequences on troops’ will to discharge their constitutional duties especially in the fight against terrorism and insurgency, thus affecting national security.

“We would like to warn all those mischief makers to keep the Nigerian Army out of their politics and mischief

“Journalists and media platforms should be professional and accurate in their reportage.

“The achievements of the Nigerian Army within the last three years are glaringly obvious, therefore, whatever recent temporary setbacks we experienced in the course of the fight against terrorism and insurgency should not be the yardstick for condemning these laudable three and half years’ accomplishments.

“We have however identified the few unpatriotic harbingers of the fake news on the attack at Metele and would take appropriate legal actions against them.

“This is to ensure that the Nigerian Army is insulated from propaganda and ulterior motives of destabilising the country.

“The Nigerian Army is quite aware that the perpetrators through these acts are covertly supporting terrorists and their activities in Nigeria with a long term objective. We are also aware that they want to use insecurity to scuttle and subvert the democratic process in the country.

“Consequently, we would like to state unequivocally that no amount of mischief or pressure would circumvent the journey to a peaceful, free and fair general elections in Nigeria.”

“We, therefore, need the continued support, encouragement and understanding of well meaning Nigerians as we deal decisively with the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists hibernating at the fringes of our borders with contiguous countries of Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic.

“We are committed to the defence of the territorial integrity of Nigeria. We hasten to state that we will continue to be professional in our assigned roles and remain apolitical at all times.

“Once more we warn mischief makers and proponents of misinformation and fake news to desist from the such practice and join other well meaning, law abiding Nigerians to support our Army to countering terrorism and insurgency in the country,” the statement added

The police spokesman, acting DCP Moshood Jimoh disclosed in a statement in Abuja on Thursday night that the PJOT personnel had repelled an attack at Birnin Mogaji village.

It said, “At about 1600hrs on November 29th, the Police Joint Operation Team repelled ambush attacks from bandits at Birnin Mogaji Village, Zurmi LGA of Zamfara State and in the process killed 104 bandits and destroyed over 50 bandit hideouts in three camps.

“They recovered over 500 cattle and 79 sheep from the bandits but unfortunately lost a policeman during the attacks. The Police team has restored normalcy and peace in the affected areas.”

This is not the best of times for Nigerians living and doing busines in Ghana and other member countries of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS.

This is because they are being allegedly repatriated on the flimsy excuse of illegal stay, Cyber Crime and Prostitution. The ECOWAS protocol allows indigenes of member countries of the sub-regional body to stay in another member’s country for at least 90 days , without documents.

You're right the process of Privatization of the power sector under the GEJ/PDP led federal government then was not properly done. They sold the then PHCN to their cronies who where incompetent to manage distribution of Electricity.
But my take on this as a solution is that Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution should be removed from the exclusive list and put in the curcurent list so that states that has capacity should be aor zones can generate electricity distribute to it citizen if there's excess it can be sold to Nigeria Bulk electricity company as against what is obtainable now where when you generate you must send it to the National grid.
I wholly agree with you. Unfortunately, we are going to continue in this circuit for some time to come because I heard the previous contracts were cast in diamond(the hardest substance known).

Lol he's literally saying its going to take annother generation. What's so complicated about Nigeria's power system that investment and good regulation cant fix in a decade max?
Obviously the problems lie with the TCN and the DISCOS. TCN says there is system overload because of low utilization by DISCOS resulting in load shedding. The DISCOS are like a bunch of spendthrifts living off inheritance. They've got no acumen for growing the business. Not until this implants of GEJ/PDP are supplanted, regular power supply will continue to be a mirage

No food for the silly loud mouth FFK this time around. Dude is just an irrelevant noisemaker.

And the choice of Dino Melaye clearly shows that PDP is just kidding about winning the next election, that's why they opted for a clown as the spokesman of their campaign council. Do they think presidential election is a circus or what? Who takes Dino seriously in Nigeria? That's their problem anyway.
Me think, they. are trying to cut cost. Although I doubt if any serving PDP governor will be willing to head any of the party campaign committees, Dino will surely not be entitled to an allowance being a paid senator. At this rate GEJ might be appointed head of a committee. Signs of the time

Blue 3k2, when did C/R ceased to be an oil producing state? I knew there was a case of disputed oil wells with AKS years back which was resolved in favour of the later. I never knew CRS completely lost its oil producing state status.
