Hey guys, this is my little contribution to Nairalanders. Ingredients: Burger rolls Hamburger (you can use boneless beef and crush it with knife if you no wan buy am), Burger Cheese (you can even use the laughing cow, Kiri) Bridel cheddar cheese for burger is good Tomato (UTC tomato those strong ones or Cotonou but if you have some change lying around 4 pieces is about 200 at Shoprite or better still use ketchup) Gherkins (looks like cucumber, the pickled one) it has a savoury taste but hey you can do without it sha or with cucumber Lettuce Mayonnaise ( I love Heinz but Leisieur is the oga here for me ooo you might even use those cheap mayonnaise all you need do is add a little Sprite by the way, Sprite with a cheap mayo can be a nice substitute to Salad Cream try dressing your salad with it, just make sure it is not too much ooo) Cooking method: Heat your fry pan with oil enough to cover the surface (preferably a non-stick (i love my non-stick and spatula) forget story you can use your fry pan and that garri stick (spatula ko spartacus ni), then if you are using the Shoprite harmburger no need to add any ingredients (already spiced), you will need to press the harmburger or allow it to fry like one minute turn it and bring it out, while holding the top, slice it with a knife into two, put it back; fry for like 2 mins back (careful not to let it burn, so turn it). et voila you are almost done. Slice your burger rolls, apply the mayo, then lettuce, hamburger, ketchup, cheese and lettuce again in that order or your own order (play around). I didnt add onions, you may want to add it and pepper too). BON APPETIT The Damage: Burger rolls (N60 for one) Burger cheese (12 pieces around N600, you can use one for two burger) while Laughing Cow is around N250-300 (slice it) Tomoto (better ones, no be those mumu watery ones: around N200) or Ketchup (Heinz) around N300 Gherkins/Cucumber (N150-200) but you fit bone the gherkins and settle with N50 cucumber Lettuce (N50) If you wan better correct one na make you go La Pointe Supermarket or at Shoprite. No be small damage be that one ooo. Mayonnaise (N200-500)

databoy247: In life, we learn everyday. There are some persons who are just too nice and responsible that you wouldn't mind sharing with them. When it comes to business i dont have friends, only clients! I am not trying to accuse Mr Jarus of anything but i just have to be sure since he was the only person i really explained to. And definitely he must have transferred the "explanation" to someone else in his bid to seek advice/counsel like he said earlier. I dont know who else he must have shared it with but i believe the leak must have come from there.Nicely said. |

OP May be... The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a couple, Mr. Danladi Wushishi, and Mrs. Ojuolape Wushishi, for allegedly duping unsuspecting victims to the tune of N20m in fake auction sales in Lagos. PUNCH Metro learnt that while Ojuolape was arrested on Wednesday, June 18, at Odeogbolu Street, Ijegun, Danladi, was apprehended at Allen Avenue on Friday, June 25. Our correspondent gathered that the couple were arrested after a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, from one of the victims, Mrs. Chinyere Uzorchukwu, who was allegedly duped by the couple to the tune of N5m. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives had subsequently gone on the trail of the couple and arrested them. The Wushishis had allegedly collected money from their victims under the false pretext that they had a container load of goods meant for customs auction sales at one of the customs terminals in Lagos. It was further learnt that prior to the incident, the couple normally took their victims to a fake customs’ warehouse in Ikorodu, Lagos, and showed them containers which were sealed. However, after payments had been made, the victims would wait endlessly expecting their goods, which never came. Apart from Uzorchukwu, the police said the couple had also duped one Nkechi Anokwuru of about N3.5m and one Mr. Livinus of about N19m in the fake auction deals. Danladi, 46, who hails from Niger State, confessed that he collected the money from the victims without having any goods anywhere. He said, “I am a businessman and I am also a freight forwarder at the Tin Can Island, Lagos. I have been doing this business for about eight years. The cargo in question has an allocation paper that read clothes, but when I got there, I saw that it only contained books. “Then, I called one Alhaji Issa, a clearing agent in Abuja, and he said the clothes could be in another container. But he added that I would pay N3.5m to get it. I then lied to my wife that I needed someone dealing in Okrika clothes as I had clothes to sell. That was how we met Chinyere. We first collected N1.35m from her, and then N800,000, and then N700,000. “I also collected N14m from Livinus in same transaction. But I never received any container since I started collecting money from this people. My wife is not aware that I was duping them.” Ojuolape, 48, said her husband dragged her into the fraud mess as she never knew that the container they had in Ikorodu was empty. She said, “I was a trader at Ikotun. I usually bought goods (clothes) from Dubai and London. I have been doing this business for about seven years. I usually do it with my husband. “About two months ago, my husband told me that there is an auction paper for second-hand Okrika clothes. So, I spoke with some people, who began to pay. But when we got to Ikorodu, we discovered that no container had Okrika clothes. Ojuolape, mother of four, added that when she discovered that there were no clothes, she warned her Copyright PUNCH. |

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM (Catholic Online) - By a vote of 50-17, the Belgian Senate approved a law that would permit the euthanasia of children with disabilities. Current law allows euthanasia of citizens, but they must be 18 before the procedure can be carried out. The law is part of the current government's push to end the lives, and therefore suffering and moreover expense of people who have disabilities or dementia. The moral and religious implications of an active euthanasia policy are obvious. What isn't being discussed is the increasing creep of these laws as well as their abuse. Initial euthanasia laws were narrowly tailored and restrictive. Once euthanasia in extreme cases became publicly accepted, even popular, its use was expanded. The definition of suffering also became elastic. Earlier this year, a woman who underwent a failed procedure to craft a penis as part of a sex-change procedure, committed suicide by euthanasia, citing "incurable suffering." Other than a botched sex-change operation and obvious, but treatable mental issues, the woman had no illness or issue that could not have been resolved through proper attention. Critics of the Belgian euthanasia program are also alleging that the practice is becoming habitual with doctors and even unauthorized nurses turning to it either because patients request it, or more seriously, to cover up failed medical procedures. As many as half of the euthinizations in Belgium may not even be reported. There are also accusations of psychiatrists abusing patients and pushing them to euthanasia to cover their malpractice. At least one case has surfaced where the psychiatrist was sexually abusing a patient who resorted to euthanasia. In another case, a pair of deaf, but otherwise healthy twins chose to commit suicide because one of them was possibly going blind and neither wanted to be blind or separated. Now, parents who may not wish to deal with the challenges of a disabled child may have their child legally killed by euthanasia, and at any age up to 18. It is difficult to put the genie back into the bottle, once it is released. Now, thousands of children will have to contend with the horrific possibility of euthanasia at the hands of their parents, should they develop cancer or another significant chronic illness. It should be mentioned that Nazi Germany conducted a program in which the elderly, retarded, sick, and disabled were ordered killed. By the end of WWII, those designated as juvenile delinquents were also murdered under the law. Methods of killing involved injection, gas chambers, and even guillotine. About 275,000 people were killed by these means. The program, known as the T4 program, became the template for the mass murder of the Jews during the Holocaust. Ironically, even by Nazi standards, it was considered controversial at the time and was often resisted forcing the Nazis to conduct many of the killings in secret. In Belgium, the secret killings are already well underway. The law is intended to catch up. http://www.catholic.org/hf/faith/story.php?id=53544 |
