Sports / Re: “I Almost Killed Myself When My Wife Left” – Idah Peterside by dodelight(m): 11:33am On Aug 16
God Bless You!
Namaster:
Society has DAMAGED a lot of men.

When men get married, society FORCES them to make their wives the Alpha and Omega of their lives. They CAJOLE men to make their wives the CENTRE OF GRAVITY in their lives.

Men put their wives FIRST. Think of their wives FIRST. And make endless SACRIFICES to make them happy.

On the other hand, wives ALSO put themselves first. Think of THEMSELVES first. And DEMAND endless sacrifices from their husbands to make them happy.

Men need to understand:

Your life is like a BUILDING.

A woman, even your wife, must NEVER be the pillar of your life. Otherwise, get ready for the inevitable COLLAPSE.

Instead, a woman should be like a lightbulb. Makes the building nice and bright BUT if it goes out or gets spoilt or explodes, you just go out and REPLACE it.

Chikena.

Politics / Re: Adedibu’s Mansion Loses Shine, Followers Relive Ibadan Strongman’s Life by dodelight(m): 2:11pm On Feb 13, 2023
Hmm... My (girl) friend's late father. This life is funny. Met a lady in church some years back (won't mention the town, church or school). We became friends on low levels. Never knew she is Adedibu's daughter because she dropped her surname for safety reasons. But I had other friends at her hostel who suspected her identity and told me of how security officers came to pick her when Adedibu died. It was after I saw her at a high level political event and later informed her that I saw her there that she told me the truth.

Politics / Professor Yemi Osinbajo: Here It Ends (Tale From Treeland) by dodelight(m): 10:07pm On Jun 08, 2022
Like Mordecai; Unlike Esther

He was the closest any clergyman could be to the highest seat in the land ever since the amalgamation. He was trained in the law and he knew that travesty of Justice was fast becoming the order of the day in the land. He had seen the people of his faith being massacred and unfairly treated by the tribe of the man he was appointed to deputize. He had seen hunger and sufferings in the land.

So he rode on the winds of the desires of the people for change, and he got the power, nay, access to the power.

The faith they had in him, those who chose him, was to the highest height and the deepest deep. But I, like few others who would not be fooled, saw the signs right early on his campaign train: he deliberately twisted facts and figures so he could be applauded.

Then the troubles in the land escalated, but he went to the colonial lords and said it was all media hypes. The supreme head of the institution which he held dearly was cut off by his king: at first he said, "It's a ruse, a lie"; but upon discovery of the truth, he kept mum -- say no evil.

Perhaps he was afraid for his life; perhaps not. Perhaps he was being careful, and waiting for the moment when the master he served would give the reins to him; perhaps he was fooled. Perhaps he fooled himself!

While the failure of his government lasted, his spiritual leader once spoke in one of his daily treatise to his followers, of those who gets into corridors of power and failed to speak truth to power, but rather give excuses for the failure of their political heads. An allusion, I believe, it was to this deputy I speak of. And being a reserved man, the spiritual leader wouldn't say much anymore.

Like Mordecai, the saints he represented made their pains and sufferings in the kingdom known to him, and in many ways said to him, "Who knows but that you have come to Royal position for such a time as this?"

But unlike Esther who dared the law -- "If I die, I die; if I perish, I perish" -- our deputy chose to bide his time, and waited for when he shall wear the crown. A time that now may never come.

Life Fact: You can't get through life without fighting or without making mistakes; most of all, you can't be afraid of fighting or be afraid making mistakes.

Then came a time when he should face the inevitable -- a fight. But since he failed to fight for his people before his king; for him to be crowned the next king, he must now fight his master who brought him into royalty, for the master now desired to be king.

He 'threatened' the inhabitants of the land that he shall gladly continue in the path of the king he deputized (a path of failure). Perhaps it was a pretence so that the tribe of his lord might support him. Perhaps he was fooled, again. Perhaps he fooled himself, again.

Striving for the royal stool with the man that raised him, he picked the wrong fight, and was called a traitor, a betrayal, a Judas. And when the lot was cast for the would-be kings, he was cast a distant third. Shame! Never would he be trusted that much again!

But what do I know? Maybe he could rise again. But first, he must leave the palace with his tail between his legs. And to rise again, let him pick his pen and write a memoir: thereby correcting the many lies he spoke in time past. Let him state his regrets, and not try to be clever by half, for thus shall he find forgiveness with men. That of God is much easier, but this is the earth that God has given to men.

We're getting there gradually!
By the time the idiots who are power drunk ruin it all, the natural course will set it; the country will automatically break into small units; then the northern lords who keep stuffing everything in their own pockets will have nothing left to stuff in. Why?
Nigeria will be gone! There was a country.

online forex trading itself is gambling or betting.. go and find out.. for you to make money, someone else must lose money.. additionally only about 5% of forex traders actually make consistent profit.. winning steaks never last..

It is risky, I admit; but gambling? No it's not except for gamblers or those who refuse or fail to know how it works. Most losers in forex lose because of greed, consistent profit is possible, just don't be greedy.

Same here bros. If you like follow your spouse around like a bodyguard, person wey go cheat go cheat. Toto and kondo no get meter.

Having an opposite sex friend is not a yardstick for cheating. Many saying No no no here thinks by not allowing your spouse have opposite sex friends guarantees they will stay faithful?

What if your spouse is bisexual and you didn't know? Means same sex friends too are not allowed?

Abegi!!! Know yourself and know + trust your spouse, and expect same. Like someone said earlier everyone that is in a committed relationship must maintain a boundary with all his friends, colleagues, religious members, families etc.

Life is too short to me to get hypertension because of woman o.
Thank you! And that's the point. Your last statement summarizes it all.

Oga, are you sure something is not already going on between you and that Nurse. I wouldn't have said this, but when you said she was somebody you should have married in the past. That calls for concern o.

The truth is that, that previledge can be abused by either party. So, I will say NO. I will never allow my wife to have bestie of opposite sex and I won't have too. Shikenaa
Nothing is going on between me and her, and nothing will. She's taken me like her own brother and that is a trust I must protect by all means. I said I intended to marry her. We didn't actually get to date at all as she turned down my advances. She too is married now with a kid.
