But Op said, the youths don't go to church, why are you now shifting the goal post. Speak for yourself.
And Yes, op is very correct. If the church continues with the present trend more youths will quit church. I am speaking reality here. I work in teenagers and youth ministry across board and I know things. Yea, there. I've spoken for myself. But I don't belong to myself alone, unlike you, I belong to the universe. So I've spoken for my generation, too.

PoliticsRe: Osun West By-election: APC Disqualifies Husain, Confirms Ademola Adeleke. by dodelight(m): 6:03am On Jun 12, 2017
lawflec:
gbo—The All Progressives Congress, APC, screening
committee from the national secretariat of the party for the Osun
West Senatorial seat yesterday has disqualified Senator
Mudashiru Husain from participating in the party primaries.
According to the result of the screening done on the screened
candidates by the committee chairman, Hon. Sanusi Rikiji, Husain
was disqualified because the party guide lines stipulates that a
candidate must not “remain in the public service within 30 days
prior to an election.”
Rikiji said the two candidates (Sen. Husain and brother to late
Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Ademola), presented to his committee by
the state party were screened and served the outcome of the
screening according to the party guidelines.
He said the primary to pick a candidate for the July 8, INEC
schedule Osun West bye-election would hold today by 8am.
He however appealed to all contestants to ensure their followers
conduct themselves peacefully during the primary, stating that any
candidate that has any complaints should direct such to the
committee.

Take a peep inside Winners Chapel or Christ Embassy and see Youths. stop saying what you don't know. you don't go to church doesn't mean others don't.
My dear, most of them go to church just to fulfil religious obligations not really because they actually have a relationship with God. I am a Redeemite, and I also work with many Christian denominations: I see things from church to church. What you see with most youths going to church on Sunday is mostly superficial.

try me ...
(Continuing from my previous post...)
I was doing all normal church things religiously with others, but now with a heart different from theirs, as I really wished to know God beyond the pages of the Bible. I must admit though, I was doing a number of bad things then, but every night I would sincerely pray to God for forgiveness of my sin, telling God my desire to know him. I also chose to read the Bible, though I had questions about some things there.
My brother, all God really want to see in us is our sincere readiness to walk with him. It doesn't happen overnight. It takes time.
Then one night, I was already sleeping when something woke me up around 11pm. Just like a thought in my heart, the 'voice' asked me to open a passage of the scriptures. The first was in Romans, the second in Psalms and third from Isaiah. I'd never come across them before, and they were all speaking of the same thing. The funny thing was I slept off after reading them. When I woke up in the morning, I remembered something happened in the night but I couldn't remember the exact passages of the scripture except that of Romans. It's 4:8. And says "Blessed is the man on whom the Lord will not impute sin".
That experience strengthened my resolve that, yes, there's is a God somewhere. And it's the beginning of many greater experiences. But it's a process. The point is, God has trusted many of our parents and pastors with his fellowships and power, which they have abused or misunderstood. So He'd rather see how determined we really are to know Him before giving us the secret things.

try me bro! no Bible quoting cos I'll lose interest! describe him/her and tell me like you're trying to make me know your popman like how he behaves and what you've seen him/her doing not what you heard about him!
I think I'm gonna be interested in this conversation with u for a particular reason: you really wish to know. and that's all that matters.
Growing up, my parents liked to force us to church. my dad was a leader, now a pastor. I remember a turning point that actually shaped my faith in God.
This was it. I was like 10 or thereabout, then, and I was beside the church when I pondered within myself: All these stories they do tell us and preach to us about God speaking to and leading the men of old like Abraham and others, it's not quite evident in our parents or pastors lives that He still leads (at least from what we were seeing).
But, I had this little faith inside of me then that that God actually exists, it doesn't matter if there was little evidence from the older people; and I desired to know that God, and want him to lead me like He led Father Abraham.

It will get to a point, restructuring will not be an option. FG and bukola saraki that are sitting on N10 million per month salary will be begging for restructuring very soon. And we will tell them it's too late. Gerrarahere!!
I'm afraid it may truly get to that. If the federal govt does not act decisively before October 1, especially concerning the northern threat, it may signal the end of Nigeria.

Blonchilli:
I don't agree sir. Mama Peace was popular for all the wrong reasons and since her husband left office she seem to disappear into oblivion except for the saga with EFCC. However I'll admit I was only a toddler when Maryam was first lady and even my elders and parents don't rate her highly. Those times were good times and she will definitely be remembered. However Stella was what a first lady should be. She had class, she could represent Obasanjo at an event and would get an applause, her work in charity and giving to the people made us love her more. I cried like she was someone I know when she died. She's the first lady Nigeria need. Not this concubine turned wife we have now
The thread is about popularity, and not effectiveness.

Of course, the northern youths' ultimatum is more treasonable than IPOB's threat. But we all know in Nigeria some animals are more equal than others. Maybe Kanu's dream is already coming true, cause if anything untoward happens to Igbos in the north, then forget about this federation.

For me, it's between Maryam Babangida and Mama Peace (Patience Jonathan). I actually think most of those giving it to Stella Obasanjo belong to the indomie generation. Just saying, though. No offense meant.
Late Maryam Babangida was the first first lady to give meaning to that office. Gone are those days- Better Life!
Mama Peace! Hmmm...
Anyway, she was popular for being a loose cannon.

Of course I cant deny that I have a bias for apc because I see them as my baby; I supported apc to power so by default, it would be difficult for me to expunge my sympathy for them, especially when I see how people who have a sympathy for pdp still stand by their pdp 100% even in exposed cases of their glaring fvckups.. And yes, I agree they lack direction, but I genuinely also believe their lack of direction isn't worse than that of the recently departed PDP that had a much better economic climate but weren't able to do anything sustainable with it. I absolutely believe a buhari would have done better in terms of sustainable capital infrastructural development if he had the same resource opportunities enjoyed by the recently departed govt.
At least I like your sincerity in admitting your soft spot for APC. Case closed!

Haba, we were talking about capital development, what brings rule of law into this?

Anyway, regarding Jonathan, he did his best to transform Nigeria as he deemed fit and I absolutely dont hate him. I just see him as another typical example of the mediocre leadership which Africa is known for; his own mediocrity... But I certainly hate it when people keep directly comparing performance of the last guys (5 yrs) to the current guys (2yrs) especially as they choose to blatantly ignore the differences in the times (i.e. the economic status, sharp difference in income level etc).
I would have totally agreed with this response of yours if not for its conclusion which show you have much blind and soft spot for the present administration. Blind spot because you are not seeing how they lack direction, and how they came into power united by hate and different selfish reasons; Soft spot because you think they would perform better with better oil revenue.

Nigeria is currently in recession and the current income is just a tiny fraction of what was obtainable before. Nigeria is presently adjusting to that and the ficis now is to pull out of the recession. There's no basis for comparing 100 with 40.
There's no point arguing with you. It's obvious you hate everything about Jonathan, whereas I'm neither for or against him. I'm for good governance and the rule of law which is obviously missing in the administration you are passionately striving to defend.

Does it makes sense to initiate new projects when you have abandoned projects all over the place? Some of the projects are even 17 years old and still under construction. We are talking of projects that ordinarily should not take more than 4 to 5 years.

GEJ was a disaster going by the price of oil while he was President with little to nothing to show for it apart from massive looting and abandoned projects
Please kindly attempt this simple question: Speaking about economics, is Nigeria progressing under the present administration compared to the previous?
