Career / Re: Any Hope For Those "Unfortunate" To Have Finished With 3rd Class? by Dodnextris: 7:26pm On May 14, 2008
The class does not matter, what matter now is below

1.) You pray for direction

James 1:2

also give thanks for your 3rd class because some didn't even pass, so be grateful for what you have, be contend.

2.) Believe more in yourself and aim high always regardless of where you are now, what matters is where you are going. i.e 10 years from now.

3.) Everyone has several gifts planted in them, so find out what your gifts are and develop them.

4.)  Use, sell and develop what you have i.e your 3rd class.

5.) First impression counts, remember your potential employer or customer are watching you,  so be positive and assertive with what you have.

6.) First rule in life, you must negotiate what you want in life, most importantly at the initial stage.

7.) What counts most to the employer or the customer is your experience rather than the qualification, but off course qualifications does help. The job is always given to the person that can demonstrate or model the role/task.

8.) Go get some volunteer experience is your field, that would be an advantage for you.

Jobs/Vacancies / A Must Tips That Guarantees You a Secured Job Interviews and a business deal by Dodnextris: 2:32pm On Apr 26, 2008
A must tips that guarantees you secured a job interview.

1.) You must pray for favour on the day so that you get there on time and for the employer to favour you and make you feel relax.
Do your home work i.e a) find out the profile of the company and their employee’s b.) What are their goals and objectives c.) What is the company’s last year turnover d.) What is the company’s unique selling point? E ) Find out the strengthens and weaknesses of the company.  Remember the employer is looking for solution to their problems and needs; explain how you can uniquely turn round their problems.

Please remember to speak with others doing similar roles within other organisations/firms.

It is also nice to be passionate about the job you are been interview for because the interviewer might pick up that you just want the job because you are jobless and desperate.

2.) Phone the company before the day of the interview and confirm the name of the person or people that will be interviewing you. i.e. will it be a panel interview. When you phone to the company, be nice and friendly, leave a lasting impression, you might even be able to build a relationship with the receptionist/administrator but remember you must never sound desperate in anyway.

3) Travel all the way to the interview place to find out the exact location and also to know how roughly it will take you to travel.

4.) On the day of the interview get their 30 minutes early to avoid any traffic or lateness on the day, remember you always want to leave a lasting impression. If you get to the interview early you have an opportunity to observe, look around, have a chat with staff and read the company’s newsletter.

5.) When you met the interviewer always remember to smile and give a firm hand shake with a good eye contact. Wait for the interviewer to lead you into the office because you don’t know which room you are going, wait for them to ask you which seat you are to seat on.

6.) Remember the interviewer is has nervous has you are because they have never met you before but actually may be you might be more nervous but its normal eventually you will settle down into the interview, the key thing is you know your stuff because you have done your home work, its like a school exam. Remember don’t get to personal about yourself don’t tell the employer anything they have not ask you, you must be very careful you only get one chance with company.

7.) At the end of the interview if you get the chance you can ask a question about the prospect of the job and if there will be any career progression within the company. Remember you want to leave a lasting impression.

8.) At the end remember to smile and give another firm hand shake.

9.) Remember throughout the interview you must be positive and assertive, give eye contact to all the interviewers but you must not be over confidence.

10.) You must dress in a smart dark colour, black or navy blue plain suit with a white or blue shirt, please remember to dry clean your suit. You must at least use a nice body spray if not after the interview the employer will just laugh at you when you have gone, i guess that will also be a last impression but a bad one.

11.) be aware of your body language not to be too relaxed but business like, be professional, and don’t cross your legs or your hands. You can put your hands on your lap and seat straight forward on the chair and not sideways. You must not look desperate because they will see it written all over you.

12.) Have a nice simple a hair cut, and a lady can have a simple hair style remember you don’t want your hair style to be a distraction or the attention.

13.) Personally for me whenever i interview people, from looking at their shoes it sometimes tell me a lot about them, When i attend an interview i always wear a good shoe because it gives me confidence about myself and i can walk into any office and make a lasting impression. Please borrow a shoe if you have to, don’t wear a dirty run down shoe.

14.) Remember that after you have been offered the job you should renegotiate your salary because they have already hired you and they believe in you, in most cases it works but even if it doesn’t work make an agreement with the employer that after 3 months probation they should increase your salary. Please make the deal before you start work because you have more power then.

15.) Sometimes people don’t get the job or they get a low salary because they don’t have much experience. If that’s you try and get a part time unpaid job with a good company and negotiate for your travel and lunch expenses, you must start somewhere, qualification is not enough, and you need good work experience.

16.) Remember if the company is customer oriented then let your interviewer know that you understand the value of a customer and that a customer must be secured for life to get repeat business.

17.) If you are unsuccessful with the job interview you must do an investigation to find out why you didn’t get the job. The outcome of the investigation will hopefully be genuine and this will help you prepare for the next interview. You deserve a feedback from the interview, ask and it will be given, negotiate again.

18.) please remember to switch off your mobile and use the toilet before finally entering the interview room.

I have to go now but feel free to ask me any questions because there is still a lot to write but i am a bit tired now. And if anybody needs my free advice let me know what kind of job you are looking for.

Romance / Re: Marriage: He Wants Me To Wait Until I'm 32 by Dodnextris: 11:40pm On Apr 22, 2008
Prayer is the master key. One of the main problem people generally experience in marriage is financial difficulties so i can not blame the guy wanting to build his future, because if marriage now then tomorrow children, this things cost money. A man must build his career first before marriage then saying that i got married at 32 and most of what i have now was acquired after i was married.

There is no right formula and nobody is to be blamed, you guys need more time to talk things out because you hardly know each other in almost a year so time will tell, just see what will happen in 6 months and then make your decision then. You can also try and take your own career to the next level, run the vision 2012 together.

You also don't have to wait for 5 year at least get engaged for commitment, we all need assurance and stability. You guys need to make a compromise along the way but 5 years waiting might seems long.

Having being a father, brother and a mentor, if anybody is asking any of my sister's or daughter's hand in marriage.

This is the must criteria

1.) relationship must be over a year before engagement of any such.
2.) both parties to be in a well paid job to have a decent roof, decent car, be comfortable
3.) They have to be ready to pay for 85% of their marriage expenses
4.) Must go fo counselling i.e spiritual, financial, emotional, most importantly training for conflict resolution/communication barriers

There seems to be signs of desperation from your side, you are only 27yrs, so watch out because man will run from you if they feel you want to trap them, enjoy more of life!! have a laugh!!!
Career / Re: Under Pressure To Reduce My Age For Employment by Dodnextris: 11:27pm On Apr 21, 2008
Mr Homebase

Remember if you are a Christian you are not to conform to the things of this world. Is 8:12 what others are calling conspiracy you should not call it conspiracy, as in don't do or say what others are doing. Normally when your faith is been tested like in this case it means your beakthrough is just round the corner so hang on, hold on to your faith because you know better.

A lot of people like myself are looking and thinking of a business today but don't have a clue and to make it on this earth you must have a business to progress in life.

So what kind of business are you into and why is it not working, what can you do differently. How are your competitors coping, or are they also quieting as well.

Please try and keep your business going if you are passionate and believe in it. But off course keeping searching for your accountancy work with your right age, in order to raise more capital for the business and to substain yourself.

thanks

Family / Re: My Friend Consistently Beats Up Her Mum! by Dodnextris: 9:39pm On Apr 17, 2008
Just a thought Mr Cooler i hope you are not actually the person who is beating up the mum or your mum!!

abuse is abuse and its real and it will continue until it has been prevented from happening again. - Way forward

3 steps for daughter

a.) Move out and far away from your mum into a mental health centre if any
b.) Attend a local church for prayer, deliverance and counselling support
c.) Do something positive with your life and thing carefully if you are to have your own children.

3 steps for mum

a.) Running away fast from your daughter because she is spiritually possessed and cant help her self
b.) Get a life mum and speak out to your family about your smiling and suffering, put a stop to the whole drama
c.) Learn to forgive your Daugherty and pray that those you have wrong will also forgive you too, only you know your past.

4 step for the friend - Mr cooler

a.) Ask God forgiveness because you are a bad friend
2.) You need act now and inform the local police and all the relative because you have contributed to the ongoing abuse, you are very aware of it and you have not stopped it. I would have instructed the police to arrest you and your friend together and shame you publicly.
3.) Rent alternative accommodation for your friend's mum to stop the abuse immediately if you have not yet been arrested.

u all need to get a life - is this a game or joke or what

Its only God that will deliver you all

Business / Re: You Have Money And You Need Business Ideas? by Dodnextris: 9:24pm On Apr 15, 2008
i also have some money and i am not sure what kind of business i can do with it, but most of the advice i have been given is to spend about 50% of fund in the stock market/funds management and real estate which i don't have much knowledge about.

i have been working all my life for various employers as a management/development consultant i.e planning, problem solving, monitoring and managing targets and performances. i.e key indicators

So as they always say in business its better to do what you know and the things you are passionate about for motivation.

I would have love to start my own consultancy firm providing free management and development support as this stage for recognition , but i am not sure where to start.

Any advice in the house
