The DSS does background checks on any potential minister and presents their findings to the president. It is left for the president to utilise those findings to drop the nominee or ignore them and still present his name to the senate for confirmation. Tinubu knows Matawalle's background. Why did he still appoint him as minister? |
What is this? I remember the other time when a motion was moved in the house for deliberation to exclude Sharia States from VAT paid by alcoholic firms, the Sharia States kicked against it. What kind of hypocrisy is this? |
The sad thing is that these are not Nigerians. These Fulani kidnappers are foreigners who japa here. Naija don cast |
OneCandleAway:Wike has no game plan. All he has is spite. People like that will do anything just to destroy that thing they were denied of. |
More of them should be armed. They need it for the coming Fulani invasion. |
Oga president. Your directive on withdrawing policemen from VIPs is being ignored. Settle that one first. |
Bandits post pictures and video of their successes in the theatre. Why doesn't our army do same? |
Commendable. this is how it should be |
There is no insecurity in Nigeria. There is a multi-billion dollar business using terror as cover for defence funds to be looted. |
I hope this man is not in Nigeria at the moment. I mentioned this last week. The day president Tinubu decides to order a comprehensive audit of Nigerian armed forces finances as regards the war against terror, 2 things will happen. 1. Nationwide bombings, kidnappings and outright massacre of communities 2. The bloodiest coup in the history of this country will happen. If we want to know why the war against Boko Haram has lasted this long, a quick look at the defence budget and associated expenditure will tell us. Follow the money. But that will never happen. |
If a president's directive gets ignored, what does that mean? It means he is commander in chief in name only. This is a mutiny of sorts. Officers and men of the Nigerian police are in open rebellion against the president and the inspector general of police. Nigeria is a failed state. |
Man has bite dog. That's what this means |
Where is the drone coverage? |
Is it not Nigerian army again? How is this surprising? Renegades and touts that's all they are. |
All I need as confirmation that the incident happened is that the Nigerian army is denying it. This is an army that claimed that its brigadier and his men were back and safe only for it to be later revealed that the brigadier was out in the wild until terrorists got him and killed him. Till date not a word on how his position was leaked to the terrorists. |
esnbrutality:Look at you. You are actually trying to defend this? If what the wanted man did is legitimate why is he on the run? |
See small Niger o? Small nyash dey shake. Anyways I understand. The last time wey Nigeria try cough, Niger cease to sell us onions and pepper. So we been dey see pepper before we see pepper to buy dat time. |
Hospital that he won't consider good enough for him and his family. |
Bookmark this comment. I strongly believe that these terrorists have already massively infiltrated the forests around states in the middle belt and the South West. The US is also conducting surveillance in Ekiti state of all places. They won't be doing that if they have no reason to. These terrorists plan to make this Christmas a very bloody one from the looks of it. |
Today has ended. No report of Nigerian army invading any terrorist camp anywhere. But they see protesting women and open fire? An army full of excuses. After all the drama they claimed they were doing in the North East, terrorists sneaked behind them and infiltrated the middle belt. Is that a competent organisation? An army full of dumb officers incapable of adjusting to situations. How many times have they been ambushed? One will think by now no army unit or convoy will be moving without having a drone above it to give a forward look at the situation in front. If that was available, they would have seen long before that the route they were following was blocked by protesters and then they'd take an alternate route. But not these guys. Only on civilians can they show muscle. The other day the Nigerian army was in a fight with market women in Osun state. That's an army that cannot justify the billions of dollars expended on then against the war on terror. And they wander why the locals provide Intel to bandits against them. |
Indeed Wike should have. You are a spineless governor and an embarrassment. Weak men have no business in political office. |
Kingpele:Was it not Chelsea that first sold him before? |
Brat. Spoilt narcissistic brat at that. |
“I learned she was kidnapped at the gate in front of her house at General Gas. Only God knows what she was doing there, where she went, or who she was with,” Olanrewaju said Somebody was kidnapped in front of her house and this man is asking what she's doing there? Is this man okay? |
Nothing stopped Tinubu from striking in Niger beyond logistics. Sending fighter jets into Niger was going to involve more logistical headaches than Nigeria could handle. Sending soldiers into Niger would have just made them sitting ducks. Nigerien soldiers would be firing at them from the front and Boko Haram/ISWAP would be firing at them from the back. No president was going to dance into that. |
OverCalculating:Yes. He hasn't met all his 'children' either. |
With that nose wey she carry? |
It never worked because it wasn't enforced simple. It doesn't matter who gave the order. Even the president relies on men to carry out his orders so if previous IGPs were committed to fully following up on their own directives, the matter would have been settled long ago. |
Islie:Fight for him? He got his due reward. |
The same Kebbi that can't properly secure its students? Isn't the black man stupid? How does it make sense that a government is taking a loan to fund a private religious exercise? |
That's the simple truth. The first terrorist bombing in Nigeria didn't even start in the north. The first car bomb in Nigeria wasn't done by the North but by the South. The northerners carried what the South started and made it worse. |
Patience Jonathan ceased the phone when Amaechi was speaking and gave him a public dressing down at the Okrika water front. And over 12 years later, we are still dealing with the fallout from that event. If Amaechi had not supported Buhari against Jonathan, there is no way Buhari would have won. |
