Here they come again, these Igbo people are really serious about this attachment by force. I think we should stop the migration of Igbo people into the Niger Delta, that's the only way to stop this stupid attachment by force.
omonnakoda: After the Civil war many towns and villages in Port Harcourt had their names changed. The issue in contention were the terms Umu and Rumu
in Igbo Umu means children or descendants of. And a town is often named after its founder e.g Umuahia
The same appears to operate in Ikwerre land and many places like Umuola,Umuomasi and Umukurushi had their names changed after the end of the civil war to Rumuola, Rumuomasi and Rumukurushi.
Many Igbos argue that this was an attempt an denying their Igbo identity forced on the Ikwerre by the Federal government
Many Ikwerres argue that the word in Ikwerre language is Rumu and not Umu and that under the domineering Igbo influence in the government of the the Eastern Region the names were forcefully changed to Umu and that they we re only revertin to the original forms. This change had happened ,they claim,in the memory of those alive and whilst it was successful in official documents ,the Ikwerre people persisted with Rumu in their speech and oral tradition
Everytime someone from Niger Delta says that they don't want to be included in Biafra you will see Igbo people attacking him and calling him a Yoruba man, seriously are these people that stupid not to know by now that we are not interested in their Biafra? These people will never learn. The best thing is to ignore them and allow them to waste their time.
Efezik007: some days ago there was a topic about which region is capable of becoming a country among the six Geo political zone, there were sentimental debate mostly blw the west and the east region, anytime a person from the Niger Delta try to defend his region concerning the topic, someone from the east will tell him that, there is nothing like Niger Delta republic. meaning Niger Delta is under Biafra. in the same topic, someone was saying that we lack human development index. that language is very insulting to the collective people of Niger Delta. the eastern people where busy talking how they have high human development index in their region, but according to the latest poverty report from NBS, it stated that the south south region have least poverty, but the case of the south east is different. the south east can't have high human development index and the rate of poverty is also high. that tell you that the south south have high human development index compare to the south east. Delta state came second with the lowest poverty rate, very close to Lagos state. every region accept the latest NBS report, even the northern region didn't complain about it, but the east where accusing the west concerning the report. please you people should stop using the words.
THE SO CALLED NIGER DELTA. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE NIGER DELTA. THE SE/SS ( unnecessary attachment ).
using the following words is an act of disrespectful which might have future consequences everyone stay safe ( COVID 19 IS REAL )
Niger Delta Republic is out mission and we will bring it up any time we want. It's none of your business what we do or when we bring up our struggle. Do your own thing and please leave us out of it.
obowo69: I think you need to know that I agree with you 100% and actually hate IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu for doing this.
I was just pointing out that hypocrisy. Everyone should stay on their own lane. Don’t bring up Niger delta republic only when biafra is discussed but never ever bring it up any other time or even have a movement for it.
nairavsdollars: Almost a month after the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians are waiting for him to announce a replacement.
It took the President six months to appoint Ministers in his first term and 54 days after his second term to send ministerial-nominees name to senate. Who can correctly guess when the President will announce a new Chief of Staff? The correct answer wins a prize
Enyi, leave long story. We know what we want and what we don't want.We don't want Biafra, it's a useless and meaningless proposal because you Igbos have nothing to offer. Go and form your Biafra country and leave us alone.
Armaggedon: Every ethnic group has that minority at the periphery who don't identify strongly with rest of their kits and kind. But then Igbo must be different and must be talked about because they are special. Even the small urhobo has okpe and isoko who reject the urhobo tag. how much more if urhobo were to be the size of Igbo. The idoma/igede/agatu is there. ijaw/nembe/ogbia is there. Ibibio/annang/efik/ekoi , ogoni/eleme is there etc. These ones I mentioned reside in one state and manage to reject sharing identity with those they see daily. you can't compare them to Igbo's carved into several states. Even among some of those in Ika who deny their igboness none reject Biafra.
The reason why nobody will take you serious is because of your unbelievable double standards. You claim Igbos want to annex you while including other ethnic groups that share nothing with you in your audio Niger delta republic. you claim Igbo's want to dominate you while stylishly adding some Igboland into your fantasy republic. You have learnt how to use your shout of Igbo domination as a camouflage to steal delta Igbo lands. Everyone knows how the Delta state creation movement of the old delta province included Urhobo/itshekiris/isoko and ijaw forcefully attempted to annex ukwuani into their Delta state. Itsay shagay even argued that Ukwuani were more "comfortable being with them" than their Anioma brothers. They needed ukwuani apparently because of land and natural resources while arguing that the other Igbo's should be kicked into Anambra or better still remain in Edo state who they share affinity with (as if it wasn't urhobos who share affinity with Edo)
Most of you think that the fact that you are called minority gives you the right to deny members of majority groups their own right, thus you have weaponized your minority status.
Anyone who hears you mention of how Igbo's want to do this and that will think you have heaven and earth to offer but some of you need Igbo's more than Igbo's need you.
I used to criticize KANU for adding none Igbo's into Biafra until I learnt one thing -a paradox where the one thing that can make the ethnic groups of the Niger delta to join Biafra is Igbo and the one thing that can make them not to join Biafra is Igbo. The vocal minority among the Niger delta tribes who have personal issues with some Igbo's and are therefore jealous and hateful, usually use the fear of Igbo dominance to scare other tribes against Igbo. But the silent majority among the Niger Delta ethnic groups know they don't get along as individual tribes in Niger delta rather the only thing that binds them together is the Igbo. urhobo for instance is hated by all the tribes in Delta for their domineering attitude. Ijaw hates them, itshekiri hates them, they don't get along with anioma. Even the urhobo themselves complain about how ijaw try to expand/grab land in the region and how they regard Niger Delta struggle as ijaw struggle, leading to ijaw getting most amnesty programme slots.
The Ibibio efik are not different but I will not spend time on them.
My point is that you vocal minority have mastered a way of bullying pro Biafrans silent majority among your people. you vocal minority know how to attack Igbo's using your minority status as a weapon of emotional blackmail against Igbo's on Biafran issue. You know quite well that silent majority of Niger delta want Biafra. That is why you lots shout down the idea of referendum. I have seen folks who tell me "we no wan talk now because Biafran agitation never get head". Two of the present senators from Bayelsa come from a family that fought on Biafra side during Biafra war. They won't show their support openly but when you hear the vocal minority talk you will think Biafra is abomination in these areas.
You have no choice. As far as the world is concerned only IPOB is agitating for referendum now. You either campaign for your urhobo tribe and urhobo alone to join Biafra/or reject Biafra. If you reject Biafra we let you go because we won't gain a single thing from you. trust me.Just leave other tribes to decide for themselves.
Everybody will regard you as a drunkard if all you do is to type about Niger delta republic when ever IPOB makes progress on Biafra. The world only count people who stand up to demand what they want not deluded folks who can't even talk on the street about what the claim they want. You have succeeded in Blackmailing emotionally weak folks like pazienza but tough people like us will always be here to cure your type of madness which involves dragging other ethnic groups who don't want you while accusing Igbo's of same.
Yes you are begging us. If I may ask,why are you offering us Biafra when we have told you several times in plain language that we are not interested? The answer is simple, you can't survive without us,you need our oil and sea to survive. We know your plans, may God punish all of you.
Yujin: We are not begging or holding them. Remember, nothing is set in stone forever. Igbo got the population, human and natural resource plus a vibrant diaspora connection to become a great nation. We still offer the choice of Biafra to them. History is on our side. Kapish!
igwe699: A united Ohanaeze Ndigbo seems to have ended as New Ohanaeze Ndigbo emerges.
A faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly has been registered.
Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide made a confirmation to the New Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
He displayed a certificate of incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC.
Those who registered the New Ohanaeze Ndigbo are: Kelly Nkeli Mzekwe, Mgbejiofor Eric Ositadinma, Onuorah Basil Onyeachonam, Nwusulor Emmanuel Chigbogu, Omoni Cosmas Alvan, Ejiekwu Tim Ejiekwu, Nnalue Chimzoba Kingsley.
According to the statement, “A new Ohanaeze Ndigbo had emerged, the nepotistic tendencies of former President General, had ended his illegitimate reign of terror and recklessness.
“He ended up disgracefully like his brother ended up as former National Chairman of PDP in 2011, nine years after he ended up the same way, as they will always use their positions to advance for a failed 2019 Presidential Candidate.
“Glory had departed from the Ukehe Nsukka Political dynasty.
We don't like to be grouped into Biafra because that's the worst thing that can happen to us. We would rather be in Nigeria than join Biafra, are you too stupid to understand that? WE DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IGBOS BECAUSE WE DON'T TRUST IGBOS. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW? We want to stay in Nigeria or we have our Niger Delta Republic. We are very happy to be in Nigeria but the Igbos are the ones that are not happy and are trying to drag us into their issues. Do you understand now?
obowo69: I agree with your sentiments 100% but I want to tell you something I have observed over the years.
Niger delta republic is a scam ideology.
Hear me out:
If you pay close attention, you will notice that if you leave those who claim niger delta republic alone, they will never organize and fight for it. They have no single active movement. They don’t even trust or like each other. And if you leave them alone for the next 200 years nothing will change.
BUT
The moment you mention Biafra, all of a sudden, they won’t stop disturbing you with Niger delta republic as if it’s something real.
It’s like how the “all lives matter” protesters come out when “black lives matter” protesters gather in the USA.
It's not ignorance, it's just that nobody wants to attach with Igbo people. Can't you do Biafra on your own? Na by force? Why is it so difficult for you people to understand that we don't see you as a part of the Niger Delta and we don't want to be a part of Biafra? I have never seen this type of attachment by force before. We don't want you. PERIOD.
My brother why waste your time and intelligence to argue with Biafra people?these people have an inferiority complex, they can't achieve their goals without us so they are doing attachment by force. Let them waste their time, when the time comes Niger Delta Republic will be a reality.
Efezik007: some days ago there was a topic about which region is capable of becoming a country among the six Geo political zone, there were sentimental debate mostly blw the west and the east region, anytime a person from the Niger Delta try to defend his region concerning the topic, someone from the east will tell him that, there is nothing like Niger Delta republic. meaning Niger Delta is under Biafra. in the same topic, someone was saying that we lack human development index. that language is very insulting to the collective people of Niger Delta. the eastern people where busy talking how they have high human development index in their region, but according to the latest poverty report from NBS, it stated that the south south region have least poverty, but the case of the south east is different. the south east can't have high human development index and the rate of poverty is also high. that tell you that the south south have high human development index compare to the south east. rennon: I Never Knew Onitsha Had A Large Body of Water. Thought SE Was Landlocked? God! When I saw the large body of water in Onitsha and waterways, I', almost cried. My wife just held me because I was angry at yoruba media propaganda for years. I researched online and saw Onitsha port was used by colonial whites during missionary and colonial era; were they stupid? The port was an industrial and commerce port as it connected to the waterways to Port Harcourt and Bonny which lead to the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean.
Yobabad: What most of you don't know is that Bola Tinubu was a taxi driver in California United States of America, and most times does some D_deal (you can call it drug deal if you like). Then his average yearly income dangles between $200 to $400. So one thing lead to the other, then Tinubu came back to Nigeria in the year 1992 and join the fight against military regime, been somebody that just came back from the USA he hard some money to Tru around and you know a typical Yoruba man likes awoof, they now started gathering around him , before you knew it democracy returned and Tinubu come texted and won, the rest the say is history, But today we can trace more than 60 compines to him including TVC news station and radio station just to mention but a few, cash at hand is valued at about $12 000000000. Etc, so my question is what have Nnamdi Kalu done that Bola Tinubu have not done 2x. Why are Yoruba hellbend on distroyi ng the image and personality of this Noble man called Nnamdi Kalu
When you know your tribe has no chance of being elected as president, all you can do is claim that every tribe is Igbo. We are happy if the Igbos keep voting for our people to president but we the Niger Delta people will never vote an Igbo president.
Attachment by force,Rotimi Amaechi is from Niger Delta but that's okay, we the Niger Delta people won't mind having a second president. Some people from a certain part of the country are very desperate to become relevant by all means.
