RIP to him. Nigerians needs to learn to de risk their homes. Too many are dying due to slip and falls (most especially in bathrooms). This is even more important the older you get.

PoliticsRe: Oyebanji Urges Vigilance To Curb Vandalization, Theft Of Power Installations by Dollyak(f): 4:13pm On Oct 25, 2025
33KVA and 11KVA are both different to 33kv/11kv. They are obviously referring to voltage level and not power.

That’s my salary range……I sometimes save like 50k on a good month. I’m now trying to learn bitcoin as a side hustle.
learn how to invest on more reliable investment like index fund.
Bitcoin is unreliable and might crash or go up, but it's not based on any fundamentals like index fund.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: DR Congo Set To Shell Out ₦70 Billion To Sponsor Barcelona by Dollyak(f): 7:47pm On Jul 21, 2025
African leaders needs to do better instead of wasting money on irrelevant things. Money realised from properly managed natural resources will be significantly more than any tourism income... even more so for a country like DRC.

EducationRe: Technical College Students To Get N45,000 Monthly — FG by Dollyak(f): 7:08pm On May 28, 2025
seborrhic:
That is,real clowning.
You are converting polytechnics and technical colleges to universities left, right and centre on the one hand, yet on the other hand saying you are paying 45k stipends to technical college students.
Asides being ironic,it also doesn't make any sense.
Next, you pay doctors and nurses during training to incentisize them to stay?
Engineers, okay, more students enroll in engineering and get 60k per month.
Oh,what of agricultural students,go into agricultural studies with 50k every month so that there would be more farmers.Education, ditto and the list goes on and on!
I think Doctors and Technical students should be the primary focus as that's what the country needs badly. Technical student because we need to drive innovation.
EducationRe: Technical College Students To Get N45,000 Monthly — FG by Dollyak(f): 7:04pm On May 28, 2025
Tinubu's government seems to be making the right noise lately. This is a great move.
I sincerely hope they also follow through with their proposed electricity infrastructure upgrades - At least creat a blueprint for it to be realised.
Foreign AffairsRe: Canada Tightens Foreign Workers Rules As Nigerians, Others Risk Deportation by Dollyak(f): 8:58am On May 24, 2025
BouquiLake:
It's ironic how we perceive these oppressors as helping us when they open their borders with enticing visa schemes. They cleverly use us to develop their countries, and once they've achieved their goals, they tighten the restrictions on us with stricter visa requirements. They take the best of our talent to maintain their status as developed nations while draining the resources from so-called developing countries, ensuring they stay underdeveloped. I've been around for over 50 years, and I've never seen a developing country successfully transition to a developed country. It's quite disheartening! See what is happening in the US, UK, Canada, etc
Well I am hoping to buck this trend soon by bringing certain expertise to naija.Watch this space.

PoliticsRe: 36 Govs Sign Mou With Energy China To Drive Electricity Reform by Dollyak(f): 8:31pm On Apr 11, 2025
This is better than nothing I suppose, but it's kinda sad we don't have the capability to build our own power system. Trust China to keep the IP to themselves so as to create a dependency. A condition of further collaboration with China should be technology transfer as Nigeria poses low threat to their hegemony.

BusinessRe: Neveah’s New Recycling Plant To Increase Non-oil Exports By $100 Million Annual by Dollyak(f): 8:07pm On Feb 10, 2025
free2ryhme:
Yeah, those numbers do sound a bit too good to be true, especially given Nigeria's current challenges with infrastructure and industry. While a recycling plant could definitely help with exports and create jobs, achieving $100 million annually and reducing CO₂ emissions like they claim might be more ambitious than realistic, considering the current state of things. It's easy to get carried away with big PR promises!
On what basis are you making this statement? Do you have access to their business proposal or capital?
Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Sacks Team Of Lawyers Who Prosecuted Him by Dollyak(f): 8:26am On Jan 28, 2025
This guy is corrupt to the core and has exposed the fragility of Americans democracy, and even more so the hypocrisy of the supposed western idealism which is nothing more than a facade.

PoliticsRe: Over 40% Of Nigerians Now Enjoy 20 Hours Regular Electricity Supply – Minister by Dollyak(f): 6:52am On Sep 30, 2024
5 5GW of electricity is ridiculous for a country like Nigeria. I doubt the 40% is true.
