UncleJudax: Ok sir. I just put together this one. As e de hot. Hint: The answers here are comical but the questions are serious business. ............................................................. I got to the embassy at 5:5am, Oga Paulinus was sweeping. Later, he started praying. I was like today go better be that. After documentation, paid 21,500 visa fee (egbon, hold your change o). I went in for the proper interview at 9:05am.
As I picked up the phone, the chat began. The questions include;
VO: How did the interest to study Germany come about? Me: shoo! Ok lets go there VO: How did you apply for the programme? Me: Through uniassist. VO: What documents did you send? Me: I de list, she de help me remember. Lol VO: How much did you pay to uniassist or no money was involved? Me: free ke. €75. VO: Why MSc. in Bleep? Any specialisation, practical internship? Me: because, blo blo blo. No specialization, yes, internship. VO: Explain the structure of your program, core and profile modules? Me: I actually explained 6. Why not MSc. in your BSc programme? VO: German states/capitals? Me: I think she wanted only capitals, but I just de rain every... VO: Who do you know about the university town? Me: a lot o. My future abode.hehe VO: Where lies Germany? Me: central/western Europe. 19. Which countries border Germany? Me: na the 9 I drop o...she de count them. VO: Which year did German celebrate/ had their reunification? Me: I just say 3rd Oct. 1990. VO: Who is your sponsor, who does he do? Me: I talk o VO: What preparations have you made towards your stay in Germany? Me: ah...enough prep. VO: What happens after the end of your program? Me: you know na. The chat was as interesting as it was lengthy. About 50minutes.
SideGist: VO asked for O'level scratch card, I said I could not find one, she giggled. She didn't ask for any SOP, I didn't table one either. It appears that they don't stamp passports anymore. You may be required to provide additional passport photos...she collected three (3). Lastly, If you can, buy your prepaid envelope before the interview. Yes, I recommend...you no go like wetin happen to me
This is by no means the whole story...but the picture is there.
Good luck to the next batch/es of interviewees.
I hail everybody. nice transcript ... I am sure u killed the interview. but can u please list the documents u went with and the total amount u took to the embassy plus money for envelop. thanks and all the best |

praiseovie: hello house, this message is to everyone who has either used online booking platform or planning to. I was at the consulate on monday to open my blocked account and i asked the woman about this online booking method. she didn't even allow me to explain, she just said in her usual impolite manner that i should use the method written behind the proof of opening a blocked account, and called on the next person waiting to be attended to. so that means it is the usual way of attaching your admission letter, proof of funding, international passport and sending to student@lago.diplo.de I also asked the yellow man (our wicked friend) outside about it, he said that has never been the accepted method, we must use the normal email method. he said those emails we got by booking online are possibly generated automatically from the system, when one use that method.. i was trying to find out if i need to first cancel that date i already got, he didn't even bother to answer me #Warning to everyone, I am patiently waiting for them to reply my mail and give me another date ooh online method is not accepted (was never even accepted), who even started it on the trend? we should learn to follow simple instructions. follow the instructions given to you on the slip given at the embassy when you go for account opening. I think those are the embassy are not fools, if online booking was acceptable, I don't tink the would bother giving slips. let's do the right thing... |

detutu1: 1. I dunno about this but she asked if I spoke German I said No. I do not speak German...when she asked what was I doing towards my preps...then I explained I had applications on my phone that helps.
2. Just do a declaration of age and forget about this...my dad did mine for 200. I dunno how much is charged in other states. You submit the teller as the consulate as well.
3. Answer in detail what you did after graduation... at least you were not idle...computer training is general...everyone makes use of computers this shouldn't hurt.
4. 45mm by 35mm...I didn't trust the photographer so I actually measured it with a ruler. Desperate tins okay. thanks for your input |

Painpill: Interview was earlier in the week. My transcript.
Went in 6:30am. Did my biometrics, paid visa fee, submited my docs and my file was created and visa receipt given to me. I wrote my SOP in 10mins, submitted and waited for my interview. After attending to those for DB opening et al my interview started around 11/12pm.
-Do you speak deutsch? -Where did you learn? -To what level? -Why Germany? -Why do you wana study this course? -Why not in the UK or US? -How did you get to know about the school n course? -How did you apply? -How much did you pay to uniassist? -What docs did you submit during application? -What response did you get after application? -Plans after studies? -Timeline from primary school till date. -Your course structure. -All modules from 1st-4th semester. -Means of sponsorship? -Parents occupation? -Name of company? -Bsc project topic? (And she googled it n blew me questions related to it) -List textbooks you used during your Bachelors (Ikr? She typed all) -Tell me more about your intended course of study (and she was googling n asking me questions related) -Got family in Germany? -Friends? -Name of course coordinator? -Ever applied for a German or schengen visa? -Tell me bout your city? -Name of your mayor? -Spell it? -Population of your city, state, n germany? -Kinda system of government practised in Germany? -Name of president & chancellor & their parties? -Name all German states? -Neighbouring countries? -How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany? -Made accommodation arrangements? Ayt, you'll be contacted via e-mail. Byee.(gave me back my passport)
My tips: -Practice writing your SOP in 10mins before your interview. -Chow before going cos the worms in your tummy will gain free entry visa to all parts of your Gastrointestinal tract before you even get to talk to the VO. You can also say you don't have your prepaid courier envelope and you'll be asked to go get it after writing your SOP. Then you can use that opportunity to go eat/drink something. Won't be fun watching those security guys pulling out plates from the microwave and 1-litre sprite bottles by 11am while you wait for your interview with growling stomach. -You might also be given a written test as the dude before me got softened with some math questions.
Ciao. from ur transcript I take it that u r going for masters? as for people that didn't go for German classes how do they answer the question about the language? Thanks |

DiBoss: NRW, the best German State for students! Low cost of living, a lot of unskilled jobs, friendly people. These are the things any prospective student should put into consideration before choosing a school. You cannot compare the cost of living in Duisburg, Essen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf etc. with any city in Bavaria. My little advice! I concur. Northrhine Westphalia. that's where my school is located. #team winter. |

Augustine21: @nineteenth, people make sacrifices for their dreams. The prospects of having a better life as a graduate of a German university is high. What is 90k and danfo? If you have been earning 90k for 3yrs now ,I can boldly tell you that the value of your salary is now around 45k. The things you could buy for 20k last 2yrs will cost around 40k nw.
For some this German dream is just a " let me try thing" for others it's a major step to their futures. If it is worth it or not is based on your vision. For people who have a strong plan, quitting a job or selling a property is a must pay price. You would be amazed if you know what many have done to raise blocked account cash. I know a guy who was working for a petroleum company and earning well. Before he got his job he had this German dream, so he worked and saved for 3yrs. After 3yrs, he quitted his relatively high paying job and left for Germany( many would never try that).Today, He is not regretting it one bit.
I will never make a decision for you. Weigh your options, analyse and decide. Since you have an admission, you are one leg in.
YOU ARE A MAN. MAKE YOUR DECISION AND BE RESONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS.
Team Winter. well said. #team winter. |

Can I get a course that teaches forex, investment, stock and likes as I wish to make legit money online with it? 3. How much in naira is required in my block account and how does my Uncle come in as a sponsor? Thanks all! hello bro. I don't really know how the German studies work but can answer few questions from what I have learnt so far. 1. yes. you will need your 100level transcript for German admission. you will need toefl too. 2. I don't know. 3. well, it used to be N 1. 8million. but with this CBN thing. just budget 2. 5million to be on the safe side. if u have the money for blocked account, u don't need your uncle as sponsor. #my 2cents.
