You can start by checking the list of schools that suit your academic aspirations.. Like cheap universities on google.com or USnews.com..
Once you have selected the schools you wanna apply to, check if they offer you course and send their admission requirements to them.

You can go with ur dad, mom, uncle aunty, brother, sister, cousin, step father or mother's account statement, you can even go with your grand father or grand mother's statement. Lool

She gave me a white form (AP) told me they will call me. I left but gave me mhy passport n held my statement(its original tho with over 5m from my uncle) also held my ds160 form n I left.


Please what's happening? Can someone advice me :? What do I do? Am about to send the copy of the ap to the school cos it's there sevis fee not paid for m.

Pls everybody. Need advice. Am loosing it. Account n reference letter is real issued from the bank. So am not scared even if VO wants to go n confirm in heaven.

Miss Laura, I must say you are a relentless fighter, you have never feared anything, there is no point loosing it now that you have almost crossed the finish line.
I advice you pray and fast well. Offer sacrifices to God who has brought you this far and He won't disappoint you.
The VO just need to be sure you have paid your SEVIS fee and to be sure they need to contact your school.
About your bank statement, you have nothing to fear since its legit.

I have been denied visa 2x (Lagos emb) probably because I am using company scholarship.
I have decided to use family funding but I have not been able to get a family member with at least 5m in his/her account.
My Uncle's friend has the sum of 7m in his account, can I use his account statement as my sponsor and claim him as my uncle even if we don't bear the same surname? But come from the same tribe??..
Confused like crazy..

Its unfortunate,I wrote the test just for embassy sake coz my admin officer waived it..even when I told the visa officer I wrote SAT..he did not ask for the test result instead asked for my ielts test sheet.

Except you're looking good for race based scholarships which are very few and don't amount to much. You'll have to show your academic prowess.

Education is expensive. If you need a scholarship as you claim, you know what to do.
They don't just hand these things to anyone.
Even if you have a high score, you still have to pray hard because it's not automatic.
Don't be lazy. If you want a reasonable scholarship take the SAT.

Lool, I am aware of that, that's why I am taking the SAT in the first place, I have an idea of how TOEFL questions are set need assistance for preparation for SAT..

As it is now, we kind of have the same issue with sponsorship.
I know I am not the best person to advice but I will just tell you to take things slow, you don't need to rush.
Calm down first and get your grip even if it means deferring your admission to spring semester.
Talk to God in prayer and ask for his direction.
Let God lead you..
PM some of the gurus that can assist with your case.
Follow God's directions
And get your visa

puffilee387: Hello guys, I just got approved of my F1 visa today and it was God and always God. It was the Black VO at the first booth. She was nice and a bit patient. I actually have a valid B1 visa that will expire Next year august but she never mentioned nor asked about it.
My challenge is that my sch will be resuming 21st of august and I shd be there before august 19th but I have pressing family matters which may not allow me resume about the time I was asked to resume. I spoke with me school and they say it is ok for me to resume late which could be 27th of august and they say they will furnish me a letter to that effect if the need will be. My fear is at the port of entry could this be a challenge?
Please advice....

I remember telling you several times here that you have red flags all around you. I told you that no reasonable company would invest in a computer operator for a BS degree abroad. There are several IT graduates even with PhDs in Nigeria that they can hire right away; this is just common sense. Sponsoring you for a master degree could be more reasonable.

I could also vividly remember you telling me that I am not the V.O and that the V.O would not look into all of that. FYI, I was particularly interested in your case at that time because you sounded promising, and I thought all you needed was just proper guidance. I have said this in the past and I am saying it again now; unless you change your sponsor to any of your family members preferably your parents, you may never, ever get your visa approved. Do not waste your money re-applying or re-packaging if this won't change. Do the right thing.

P.S: Although your answers to your course offerings were disappointing, this may still be overlooked if you'd given good points in response to questions that followed. Unfortunately, your "sponsor" denied you the visa.

Don't have a family SOA to back me up on the rest.. That's why I decided to go with company all through

I don't have a any family member that can sponsor that huge amount ($20,950).
If I change sponsor now it might affect my chances on my next trial, cos they keep records on their system.
I just spoke to my school now; they said that I can't meet up that I should defer to spring by ending of the month (aug)
I don't even know what to do now as I am tired and fed up. I don't know if I should tell the school to change it to family fund now..
I really need assistance..

Getting a family sponsorship will definately raise more question and might even look more suspicious..
I will work on my flaws, in my 1st and 2nd interview the VO didn't empasize much on the sponsorship.
The first one was a mistake, i-20 stated family funds and I filled company funds on ds160.
I have gone to change the i-20 to company funds and was denied again today..
I don't know how changing the i-20 back to family funds will look?
I really need personally advice..
