1..a very strong performance from the eagles, we outplay Egypt n frustrated sallah all through but we need more improved finishing from eagles, we need to kill games n use our chances..
2..the likes of iheanacho n dt sub ejuke did well bt should lean how to play with teammates dan being selfish, I like dt awoniyi n iheanacho connection..
3 .dt midfiled was good, nice control BT dey need to also make use of chukwueze, dt always giving d ball to simeon drained him n also we need shots from outside d box..

I am writing this just incase whoever it may concern is here in Nairaland (we may not know).
The arrogant Character of the embassy officials in Berlin to Nigerians is alarming.

Let me take you through how one obtain a passport through difficulties in Nigerian Embassy in Berlin.
1. It will take ages before you can get the normal appointment online. What they have done is to make it extremely difficult for Nigerians to get normal appointment online as the case was, so they now have the opportunity of giving appointments through back doors and collecting different amounts of Euros from desperate Nigerians who need their passports urgently.
2. Travelling down to Berlin. Some Nigerians travel for hours to Berlin, e.g people living in Bayern, Barden-wurtenberg etc. Only to reach the Embassy and meet those arrogant officials who doesn't care from where you came from and give you too much stress.
3. Entrance: you get to the embassy gate and meet an uncoordinated line with the workers turning you around like animals. Even the oyibos that pass through the street will be looking at Nigerians like what is wrong with this people?
4. Inside the embassy compound: Nigerians are kept inside the compound but outside the building for a long time, no matter if the weather is minus 5 degrees.
5. Inside: Here is where the most annoying part happens. When they finally usher you in you will be asked to switch off your phones and submit it to the receptionist. The aim is so that no one will make a video of all the atrocities going on there. Once you can be able to make videos or take pictures they treat and talk to you anyhow they like and if you try to reply then they will find a way to frustrate you by making sure you did not get your passport.
6. Processing time: for God's sake alot of countries that I know get their passport that same day they capture but Nigeria Embassy Berlin will tell you to come back between 4 to 6 months time for your passport. Many people have to buy another train ticket with all the stress back to Berlin it doesn't matter where you stay.
7. Environment: outside this Embassy, everything is in order. You feel the system working the way it should be, but once u step foot into the embassy compound you have this normal Lagos lifestyle where officials think they have the power to decide your fate, where lobbying in secrete is order of the day. Everyone is made to pay 20€ per passport that is aside the normal passport application fee. They even have a POS in the office to collect this money. That is if you have 3 kids plus parents then you should be paying 100 extra Euro which is not in the passport application fee.

The ministry of external affairs should do something because Nigerians in Germany �� are becoming angry with those embassy workers and may do something that will even attract German police to the embassy one day.

So, let me just go straight to my reason for opening this thread, and I hope I would be able to convey my thoughts impeccably:

It seems like some of our people who travelled to Germany aren't doing so well after all (I stand to be corrected, though!)
I have a friend over there whom I am preparing to go meet. This guy has been there since 2017. He hardly calls me on normal call. He would rather call on WhatsApp. Reason being so that he could get in touch cheaply. The first and only time I asked him to send me something, he told me pointblank he didn't have.
Just this afternoon, I heard a colleague's father just came back to Nigeria from there after 21 solid years! He had abandoned his wife and children here in Nigeria. If he was doing so well over there, would he not have arranged for his family to come over and stay with him - at least?

I have been worried, even before I heard this colleague's father thing: I don't know what I am going to meet at the friend's place; I don't know what life is like over there - how to cope in a non-English speaking environment. I don't know how long it's going to take me to make it over there and reconnect with my family. This news about my colleague's dad also increased my worries.

So, I decided I would come on here to ask: Aren't these red flags as regards traveling over there, especially with the hope that when i get there, after 2-3 years, I would bring in my family.
Anyone here knows about life in Germany?

first is that you already have a negative mindset about everything so even if you travel down to Germany it will be difficult to make it. Secondly your rating of how successful a man is through his means of communication with you shows how low your iq is (no insult), there is Internet everywhere in Germany and it is affordable so many people communicate more through social media (this is 21st century), that does not mean he can't afford 10Euro card to call you even if he is not working at least he receives nothing less than 320Euro monthly from Government as an unemployed person, that money is approximately 170k in naira. Thirdly is that you are only concerned with people like your colleague's Father without considering others in Germany �� that are doing very well for themselves and their families, so you have chosen side of the fence that you want to belong. Lastly I want to tell you that Germany remains the biggest Economy in the whole of Europe �� and their contribution to the European Union is second to none.
Before I end I will advice you not to only think of how to hammer immediately in Germany as making it in Germany is not a short term project but what is guaranteed is that u must reach your goal if you follow the laid down rules. Also think about the quality of life when you are making comparison the next time.
