Whenever I'm called to mediate in a gift card case, sellers always insist that the card card is cheap because it's from yahoo boys blablabla and the buyer should know the risk the moment he was asked to pay less than 300/$.

However, when it becomes regular language and I brought up idea of banning it, they began another campaign that not all cards are from yahoo boys.

To this end, I will suggest that if the card trade should continue, sellers must stop telling us the old story anytime they have a case. They should be 100% responsible for any bad card and other similar cases against them .

I did some reading on the gift cards and saw that they're not meant to be sold. So whether or not the cards are gotre from Yahoo boys is not the issue. The issue is trading a prohibited item. That's a violation of rule 9 there.

You should be a litigator, that's where the money is. One big civil case can fetch you millions. Imagine having 5 or 6 of such in a year

Anybody that wants deal on any platform should always use the SEARCH button. A lot of scams will prevented if they can carry out this simple task.

I'm failing to see the correlation between money transfer and sales of gift cards here. We are talking about cards that were never meant to be sold in the first place. Selling of gift cards at any capacity is illegal how much more cards that have been ripped? So we should look the other way because 5% (according to you) of those trading it acquired it legally?

@Puskin, the thread was not created for gift cards. It was initially created for exchange of e-currency such as Paypal, netteller, payoneer, skrill etc. It was much later that the gift cards sales got introduced. Putting a stop to it should not affect the flow of this thread in any way

It was easy in those days since there weren't many qualified older educated people. Ministers were mostly in their 20's in those days and Gowon became head of state at around age 30, if my memory serves me right. Recall Buhari and co joined the military with their secondary school qualification and were made officers, something you can't dream of now.

Not only in the military, the older generation were very lucky with career progress. Now they're all old and not willing to give way for the younger ones to advance in their careers. Sad really.

This has been on my mind for a while now. These cards were never meant to be sold in the first place. The ones being sold were either ripped or obtained fraudulently. It's about time we enforced a rule banning it. I'll run it through the admin
