If ur course is research based, it may reduce ur chances depending on the level of competition but, if its course based, it may not. Be it what it may, Every every depends on God. U may even get a schorlaship without d gre. Don't u think so?

@earthgreeners how ur side? It's bin a while. Any update from ur schs? As for me, I don't think I can make April fool anymore... U dig right? My schs said they won't reach decision until last week of march. So am preparing my mind against last week of April.

Some departments have started admitting students and letters are now being sent out by the College of Graduate studies...Though some department are yet to make decisions...But a friend of mine just got admission into their Public Health Masters.. Fall 2013

Yeah that's right. I spoke with an officer just now to confirm my documents, she said they are working on January and February deadline applications.
The dead line for my course is march 1st, so they won't start to review until march

kayce43: @Don Cipher my advice is not to withdraw ur application becos I said so, I just simply shared with d house wat I knw CDHC is doing at the moment, my advice wld be dat u shld wait n get d instructions directly frm CDHC or better still visit d embassy for better directives, like I said this is a confirmed information, u can ask anyone who submitted last year n has a new start date of sept 2013,(I dnt knw about fresh applicants ) if ur not asked to withdraw incase u fall in this category den consider urself favoured, yes I quoted bumdish's application tuk 8months, infact my friend in Vancouver, his application tuk a year b4 it was approved dunno d full story though but that's wat he told me, so I dnt understand d whole withdraw n re-apply thing...

mozo: There's always someone you can send an email to or call to verify that for you, either your prospective department or the admissions office

adexcube: i just mailed my flight school now and the admission officer replied me that CDHC is yet to contact them since i submitted in Sept 2012. Now is it that they don't verify acceptance letters and if they do, are you thinking what am thinking right now? What on earth are they doing with my application that they are yet to contact the school to confirm my acceptance letter at the sixth month These CDHC guys are just searching for unnecessary trouble, mind you i mailed them last week Friday and they refused to reply, guess they are tired reading my mail and replying with there copy and paste message. God in control.

As CDHC no gree reply to email, U of R self dey do their own.
They refused to update my online application status since last year and am worried, cos I don't know if they received the package or not.

Hello house, I just got an email from CDHC for medical instructions! All glory n thanks be to GOD almighty! Thank u all for ur motivation n guidance! My application was submitted to VFS on d 13th of Dec, 2012. D medical instruction email I got did not give any condition- guess because I paid tuition for 1 semester b4 I applied to CDHC. Also there is no deadline for me to do d medical exam and my status has not change on VFS website. Pls how do I proceed? Thanks

i just got admitted to mun for masters in engr'r mgt and need clarifications on these issues before i apply for a visa.
My certificates all have my surname and my first name only while my intl passport has my middle name added.does this pose any problem in visa processing.
Also my certificate ( Nigerian O' levels Cert.) has my date of birth wrongly written(the year written as '79 instead of '80) .hope these are no big issues?
As regards funding i have 1.8m in fixed deposit and a land title (not C of O though) and 2.0m in my current account. though the 2m came in recently (about 1 month),the account is my salary account which has been having a reasonable cash flow.considering that i need to submit a statement of 6 months?will this be okay.my total fee is 22,000dollars.
as per family ties,i have a wife and son and has been working in nig for over 4 yrs.what are my chances

You may not include ur O'levels cert....It's not compulsory since u're going for PG
Don't worry about the names...since your first n last names are the same with the names on your intl Passport

You need a letter of intro from ur employer.. your contract paper can't stand for you.. what if you got fired the following day you were given the contract letter. You'll still have the contract paper. Isn't it? So, the contract letter can't tell if you're still employed or not.
in addition, what if you have debt to pay your employer wey ur employer dey deduct from your salary. So, Your employer need to clear you that your job n salary are intact as u claimed to CDHC...They call to confirm atimes sef.


You need that letter. Don't give them a reason to refuse you..It's ur choice bro

surecan: Please i am the one sponsoring some body and where i work i have no access to letter head,can i just write a letter on a plane sheet with my office address

If you're the sponsor, you don't need any letter head. write a normal formal letter, include your phone number or any other means of communication in the letter and try to support your letter with an affidavit of sponsorsip.


A letter of introduction from your employer is another thing and you can include that. ( That should be addressed to CDHC on a letter head and signed by an authorized person)

UNBC is good, dere tuition is very cheap but very competitive.
I applied to that school last year, but i couldn't get d admission i was a novice then tho

A competitive letter of intent coupled with a sound reference letter n good GP wud help..

August 2013 (2nd week): Depart Lagos, Nigeria through MMA

August 2013: Arrive Canada (Toronto Pearson / Calgary)

September 2013: Attend Orientation / Meet with potential supervisor

kayce43: E nor just hard at all, everyone wants to impress the VO,I had already written 3pages, but my agency told me no nid for all dat, cus these pple r humans like u and u can imagine, if they read like 50 letters dats so long they will b exhausted, so just do the best u can to hit the main points on one page, cus wen they notice that, they can easily glance thru and move on to other documents that r vry important also, I also believe if u can make it one page, they can relate it betta, cus they believe u dnt wanna stress dem with too many unecessary details.

For those dt haven't opened d link,it takes 6 weeks for them to help us get a copy of ur file wit cdhc.u can see what has been done so far, the comments and the points. It cost 40Cad and takes 6 weeks. Required info is name, dob, file no (if u have it) .
