If you recall I posted my sisters case in January this year when her study visa was denied after medical and paying school fees. Recap of what happened - One month after Medical – Embassy called her to go pay her tuition, I am her sponsor (Am based in Yankee) - I made payment and her school emailed her receipts which she submitted to the Embassy. Embassy called her 2 days after submitting receipts they have not received her receipts – she immediately went back to the Embassy to sort things out and Embassy confirmed all is well and her proof of payment has been noted. 3 weeks later CVAC portal was updated her document is ready for collection. She got to Ikeja, open package and saw denial letter with the following reason – no ties to Home country, no travel history, no personal asset etc. My people we were all shocked – why call her to go pay tuition when you are not ready to issue travel permit. Any way per everybody’s advice – we repackage and submitted in January. I included a detailed letter of what happened and address all reasons why she was denied (included property deeds of the house she inherited from my late dad, as other supporting doc. She was called last week to come for an interview – she went to the embassy last Thursday March 21th, A Nigerian lady interviewed her. Per my sister the lady was very rude, she accused my sister her degree and NYSC Certificate may not belong to her. My sister politely told her to contact UNILAG and NYSC Office to confirm if her degree / certificate are fake, then the lady changed the topic. The lady then told my sister her undergrad Degree (BSC in Bio-chemistry) is not related to the degree she wants to study in Canada (MSC in Global Management). My sister told her she chose Global Management because of her interest to pursue a career in any of the UN Agencies in Nigeria – and her science undergrad will be a value added to MSC in Global Management in the event any related UN science project is assigned to her. The lady ended the interview and told her “I cannot issue you a visa because there is no correlation in the degree you plan to purse with your current undergrad.
My sister picked up her package on Monday with a denial letter and only one reason was check – NOT A BONAFIDE STUDENT, NOT CREDIBLE.
My people is it worth the wahala to repackage and submit again? – Sorry for the long story

If she change the course at this stage, don't you tink it wuld raise another issue? like her aim is all about Canada n not the studies.
Maybe she should apply again with a comprehensive letter of intent, she should show how she would relate her undergrad studies with the MSC, n how she would use her studies to help naija etc.

Your CGPA is kinda low, so try colleges

START

Step 1. goto Google
step 2. Type colleges in Canada.

Step 3. Check for admission requirements/ Tuition, course duration, etc of the searched schools.
Step 4. Choose a college that suit you best. if you have more questions about your choice of school, check for the admission officer's email and write to them.

step 5. If not satisfied, Goto step 1 else; goto 6
Step 6. you should know the next step

it's about the new immigration rules.

kemdee: I don't think that is right, the 10000CAD should be minus ur room and board n others in ur official fee schedule...that maybe where the problem came from in the first place. Maybe u shld read the checklist again so u can clarify. And I fink 8 months is the same as one academic year in Canada.

The 10000CAD is for accommodation, feeding, transportation, books, health etc...that's y dey said minimum of 10000CAD

Generally, You don't need toefl except on request from your school.
You can get an admission wit 2.1 and above. if your 2.1 is weak, you my go for a course based program instead of research based.
Letter of recommendation is required..

For your own good, Don't be lazy, search for a school and check their admission requirements.

D balance shows that you have immediate money at hand (especially for tuition, travel, accomodation) D history shows u will have money for Living expenses. So please let's be armed with this information, for preparation

Don't be sad sir. Na the cash flow matter most. The balance is not as important as the cash flow, your relationship with your sponsor and Sponsor's number of dependants.
your tuition and living expenses is about 6m
if your sponsor is you dad/mum 8-10m would do. depending on the number 0f your dependant siblings too.

Other sponsors...15m and above.

note; the cash flow is more important than d balance.

if your course is a year program how many years visa will one apply for.

Etinosajay: Goodmorning Folks. God is working things and cases in this forum. Put your trust in God.

This is just a few piece of info, to share with prospective applicants for admission. Especially in sending documents. U can use Nipost (Registered delivery option or Regular), its absolutely cheap, and fast (subjective). Reason is I sent out parcels using both options on same day (March 6th), they got delivered to Canada (Saskatoon) March 20th. Cost was just #600 and #300 respectively. @earthgreeners and @iwinosajack knows this

So peeps don't spend so much money using courier, except u got no time to play with

As for the NIPOST, you are correct...I sent all my document using NIPOST and never had any regret..Sending a letter to Canada via NIPOST means you engage the service of CanadaPost..NIPOST only forward ur letter to Canada..Canadapost handles the delivery.

Sending letters to canny frm naija is fast n efficient.
Receiving letters frm canny is very slow n annoying.

@admission letter expectants, pls anybody expecting admission letter from a school,most of this schools use regular mail if u dont indicate u want to use a courier, my admission letter was 1st sent since nov and has not gotten to me by now, i had to call the school to reprint for me and also arranged with dhl to pick it up for me and i got it within 4 business days. so,if u av a time constraint, try contact them if u can use a courier

So, he want you to study risk management so dat u can b he's manager on industrial risk etc...
since he av a brilliant n promising broda, he want to send U abroad to study n acquire international knowledge(quality) cos na U fit handle his job wella instead of hiring a stranger.
