seunmsg:You overrate this your obi. And how come you are now back to Obi being VP to Atiku? If Obi is so popular , why doesn't he strike it out on his own with a northern Muslim candidate ? So we are now back to Obi being VP running mate. That alone tells me you know Obi's popularity is waning in the SS, SW , NC and so you know he will get less votes this time and will not even get the constitutional required minimum 1/3 votes outside his SE. You guys are a joke I swear. |
lordm:You don't know these people. They know that our current democratic system can never get them to Aso Rock. They have been demanding for a coup since a Yoruba man won the elections and in their usual bitter envious mode ,want to truncate the system . They will prefer military rule than have a Yoruba who was elected above their last hope remain President. A Yoruba man beating their own in a national electoral contest only reinforces to them that Yorubas are more accepted across Nigeria than them. They are angry because the last election showed them that they are still on probation from the madness of Jan 15 and the civil war they caused due to their greed and covetousness . Yoruba hatred in them is not because they hate Yorubas per se even though they do, it's a fallout of being reminded that Nigerians still don't trust them to head the presidency. |
owobokiri:Its called absolute monarchial rule and it was what existed even across Europe that saw to the Renaissance era of great human development. The Holy Roman Empire that was headquartered in Bavaria was the height of monarchies and it gave the world the greatest scientific and artistic breakthroughs. The arts and architecture of that era are still standing today and considered as tourist traps. Back home we had the Bini Empire whose capital Benin was adjudged by Portogesse explorers to be the best planned city state with a highly complex and civilized order that saw to zero crime and high prosperity rates among its people. Its a system of governance that you will never be able to replicate . How sad. |
seunmsg:Atiku is not going to pick that toxic individual as his running mate. Atiku found out hard in 2019, that Giringori was hated in the core north. Atiku will be searching for a more level headed and non IPOB affiliated candidate. |
G0odharddick:Remove Giringori from any future permutation. Thanks. |
owobokiri:So what do you suggest ? That we go back to the glorious years of Abacja where your IBO leaders all trooped to his court begging for favours? If you are not capable in your SE of self civil rule, and need dictators to rule over you , that is not the case for others. |
If he was gay , and the subordinate lover gay as well, this will never happen. |
destinychildolu:Ibas, a retired Naval officer did not coup himself into being Rivers state sole administrator. Ibas was appointed by the President as sole administrator after activating a constitutional clause of state of emergency declaration which had the full backing of the NASS. Ibas emergency rule had the NASS doing oversight functions. Is this how a typical military coup operates ? |
Fiscus105:Any coup now will see Nigeria disintegrate faster than a lightning bolt. Nigeria of today is not Nigeria of Pre 1999. The civilian political class in every state is well entrenched . The populace is more restive and aware of their rights and won't give it away for an illegitimate military junta that did not give their consent to. There must be consent by the populace to the government of the day to govern them. And how is the military going to manage running a country like Nigeria today without widespread consent? You must understand that past military juntas relied on consent to remain in power and always justified seizing power from fellow military juntas on the basis of lack of popularity of the ousted regime among the people. There's no way we can have anything dictatorship today because that will require tearing up the constitution and drawing up Admiralty laws that are alien to civilian life. Any coup will not only be disastrous to Nigeria's continued existence but to those who ochestrted it. The guys in the military today are a total different breed from the cocaine sniffing rambo types of times gone. The officers today just want to serve and cashout bigly and retire to politics or their businesses. Why should they risk all that for a doomed coup that if successful will doom them? |
jmoore:According to Sowore , the arrests were carried out across the country by DIA and not DSS. Take note. |
Bullshit. I am sure they were arrested over arms diversion or deliberately refusing to follow orders in the ongoing war on terrorists and bandits and providing cover or refusing to mobilize No officer is daft enough to stage a coup in present day Nigeria as that will surely see to the country balkanizing. |
Did you know that Giringori demanded that ADC opt for an online opinion poll in place of party primaries to choose who will emerge as the party's flag bearer in 2027. Giringori truly believes in his online mob above everyone else. He wants his mob to determine whom ADC fields as their 2027 candidate and not the party delegates. Anything to avoid Primaries. This man should never be allowed membership in any registered political party. He should go to Ohaneze and contest for the PG position as he is also adept at playing perpetual victim which Ohaneze stands for. |
