LET's have fun 7 + (6 × 5^2 + 3) ? Answer [A] 232 [B] 70 [C]160 [D] 41 Order of Operations - BODMAS[color=#990000][/color] Operations "Operations" mean things like add, subtract, multiply, divide, squaring, etc. If it isn't a number it is probably an operation. How Do I Remember ? BODMAS ! B Brackets first O Orders (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.) DM Division and Multiplication (left-to-right) AS Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right) The only strange name is "Orders". "Powers" would have been a better word, but who could remember "BPDMAS" , ? "Exponents" is used in Canada, and so you might prefer "BEDMAS", there is also "Indices" so that makes it "BIDMAS". In the US they say "Parenthesis" instead of Brackets, so they say "PEMDAS" Oh, yes, and what about 7 + (6 × 5^2 + 3) ? Answer [A] 232 [B] 70 [C]160 [D] 41

CONFIDENCE IS KEY to approaching women. For many men, approaching a pretty girl they like can feel as if they have an anxiety disorder. The nervousness and anxiety can become so bad when trying to "pick up" a pretty girl, that you might actually experience symptoms that are similar to those of a panic attack! Now let me ask you this, when you are thinking about or are about to approach a beautiful girl that you like. Do you experience any of these symptoms: Hyperventilating Jitteriness Racing thoughts Racing Heart Beat Feeling sick Stuttering Flustered Words come out wrong Difficulty breathing Lump in throat Difficulty swallowing Mind drawing a blank Butterflies in tummy Fear of stuffing up Fear of rejection Sweaty palms If so, this guide will help you over come your fears and approach beautiful women with ease and confidence. No fear of rejection, no sweaty palms, no overwhelming anxiety. Just "hey baby, how's it going" with no problems of any kind! But before we get into the "meat" of this guide, there is some very simple facts you absolutely MUST know about women that are sure to make you feel better as you go over them: Simple Facts About Women - Most women are just as nice and friendly as you and me, they are not mean to strangers and will NOT slap you or scream "Pervert" when you approach them. Check Your Confidence Level - When it comes to dating, a confident guy always has an edge over shy guy. As a matter of fact, you could rarely see woman approach a guy and ask for a date. Guy will make the first move, most of the time. Eliminating Negative Self Talk - Your subconscious mind will often try to do everything within it's power to prevent you from doing what you want by telling you all kinds of nonsense. Creating Positive Self Talk - What you ask yourself WILL directly affect your self-esteem and confidence therefore increasing your anxiety when faced with approaching a woman. Building Your Confidence - There are many ways to build your confidence, you can work out to look and feel great, try to always look your best, or even drink a little alcohol to get a little "Liquor Courage". What I'm going to talk about is how to build your confidence by way of affirmation. Preparation Before Approaching Woman - Have you ever approached a girl, got her attention and then had nothing to say? That can be a big braw back because silence and awkward moments will NOT help you get anyone's phone number. Planning Your Conversation Topics - Planning your conversations, where were we? That's right, getting out the pen and paper and planning what you will say, starting with your greeting. Dating Conversation Topics Examples - I have quite a large number of questions I have banked up that I use often on people. But I won't list all of them here. Besides some of them may not be suitable for me to mention here and I don't want to offend anyone. Proper Breathing to Calm Down - If you hyper-ventilate or find it hard to breathe when approaching women, then this part of the book can be of great help to you. Exercise to Reduce Anxiety and Depression - Exercise gives you more energy, helps you sleep better, makes your heart stronger, helps your circulation, increases your lung capacity expand, makes your muscles stronger. Removing Negativity Thoughts - What can happen once you actually approach a woman, start talking to her and is that you might go blank for a second and might start getting negative thoughts. In the beginning of this section, I gave you some simple facts about women. I reassured you that most women are just like men, they are not evil rejection machines that are out to embarrass every guy that approaches them. Women are not the enemy, in most cases men are their own worst enemy when it comes to approaching women. It is your negative thoughts, anxiety and fear of rejection that stops you from getting the girl you like. Of course you already know this, so what's my point? http://www.datingclass.com/shyguy/index.shtml |
@ POSTER ANGEL A typically benevolent celestial being that acts as an intermediary between heaven and earth, especially in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Zoroastrianism. A representation of such a being, especially in Christianity, conventionally in the image of a human figure with a halo and wings. angels Christianity The last of the nine orders of angels in medieval angelology. From the highest to the lowest in rank, the orders are: seraphim, cherubim, thrones, dominations or dominions, virtues, powers, principalities, archangels, and angels. A guardian spirit or guiding influence. A kind and lovable person. One who manifests goodness, purity. In the Hebrew Bible, angels often appear to people in the shape of humans of extraordinary beauty, and often are not immediately recognized as angels (Genesis 18:2, Genesis 19:5; Judges 6:17, Judges 8:6; 2 Samuel 29:9). Some fly through the air, some become invisible, sacrifices touched by some are consumed by fire, and some may disappear in sacrificial fire. Angels, or the Angel, appeared in the flames of the thorn bush (Genesis 16:13; Judges 6. 21, 22; 2 Kings 2:11; Exodus 3:2). They are described as pure and bright as Heaven; consequently, they are said to be formed of fire, and encompassed by light, as the Psalmist said (Psalm 104:4): "He makes winds His messengers, burning fire His ministers." Some verses in the Apocrypha/Deuterocanon depict angels wearing blue or red robes but no such reference occurs in the Protestant books. Though superhuman, angels can assume human form; this is the earliest conception. Gradually, and especially in post-Biblical times, angels came to be bodied forth in a form corresponding to the nature of the mission to be fulfilled—generally, however, the human form. Angels bear drawn swords or other destroying weapons in their hands—one carries an ink-horn by his side—and ride on horses (Numbers 22:23, Joshua 5:13, Ezekiel 9;2, Zechariah 1:8 et seq.). A terrible angel is the one mentioned in 1 Chronicles 21:16,30, as standing "between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand". In the Book of Daniel, reference is made to an angel "clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude" (Daniel 10:5-6). This imagery is very similar to a description in the book of Revelation. Angels are thought to possess wings (Daniel 9:21), as they are described in the Bible, and depicted in Christian, Jewish and Zoroastrian art. They are commonly depicted with halos. Purpose In the Bible, angels are a medium of God's power; they exist to execute God's will. Angels reveal themselves to individuals as well as to the whole nation, to announce events, either good or bad, affecting humans. Angels foretold to Abraham the birth of Isaac, to Manoah the birth of Samson, and to Abraham the destruction of Sodom. Guardian angels were mentioned, but not, as was later the case, as guardian spirits of individuals and nations. God sent an angel to protect the Hebrew people after their exodus from Egypt, to lead them to the promised land, and to destroy the hostile tribes in their way (Ex. 23.20, Num. 20.16). |
Respecting Others' Religions I believe that is important to respect others religions as long as they don't interfere, obstruct, or damage ones own believes and right for freedom of religion. I respect wisdom and knowledge and like to learn what philosophies, and ideas different religions have to say, and while I observe these religions I also respect their ideas even though I may not agree with them. Because with religion there is no real way to know what is right and what is wrong. The person who decides what is right or wrong is the perciever of the religion and the one who sees what is good, or bad or what they like that fits them. I think every individual should have the right to believe in their own religions just as long as they don't interfere with the law also. For instance if your religion is abusive to others that are non-believers then I think that the religion should be bound to following the law or relocated to where it is legal to practice. One can respect religions by not being offensive, argumentative, and being open to other possibilities and believes. Another way is to show interest and inquiring. Most religious followers are more than glad to share their religions with someone who is asking about them. To fully respect another person's religion you must be understanding. You must understand that they belive what they belive for a reason. A reason that is comfortable with them and them only. You must give them the right to practice whatever they want. Also by still respecting the person for who they are outside of there religion. Not judging them, as a whole, simply because of there religion. But for the person they are also outside of there religion. You must know that they are not wrong in thinking what they think. But maybe that you just don't understand or agree with what they belive. You can gueniuly respect another's religion by keeping this in mind. There is the possibility they know something you don't. There religion could be totally correct. This I feel is the way to totally respect another religion. I also feel there are times for serton when this is impossible. When there morals are very, very different from yours. The only way to respect them is to just let them do there own thing and not to bother them.

Analysis and Commentary Jesus Predicts his Second Coming, Tribulation (Mark 13:24-29) 24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. 28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Jesus Foretells Arriving in Power and Glory The one section of Jesus’ predictions in chapter 13 which definitely doesn’t reflect recent events for Mark’s community is the description of his “Second Coming,” where he takes part in the apocalypse. The signs of his arrival are unlike anything that has come before, ensuring that his followers won’t mistake what is going on. Indeed, what we have is the entire cosmic order falling apart: the sun becomes dark, the stars fall, and the “Son of man” descends on clouds. All of this occurs after the great suffering experienced by the true believers who will be gathered up and taken to heaven. From here many Christians today derive (in part) the belief of a “rapture” which transports the elect directly to heaven, although in contemporary belief this occurs prior to the “tribulation” and suffering. All of the description is consistent with similar passages found in the Old Testament. The cosmic disasters are consistent with material found in Isaiah (13:10, 34:4) and Ezekiel (32:7- . The appearance of the Son of man on a cloud is reminiscent of a passage in Daniel (7:13-14), although there Daniel is going to heaven rather than arriving from it. The fig tree enters the picture once again, but this time Jesus isn’t cursing and killing it. Instead, the audience is supposed to learn something from the fig tree: just as it has a natural cycle that is predetermined by nature, the apocalypse has a predetermined course that is ordained by God. If you know how to read a fig tree, you’ll know when it will bear fruit; if you know how to read the signs around you, you’ll know when the End is approaching.

@ Poster, You have wrote a lot,but to reply to yuur post i will break your words into stages and answer to it, though we are all learning as a new generation As that is the case, what the Christians claim about the Gospels stating that Jesus is the son of God and that God is his father –exalted be Allaah above having a son or a wife – does not count as any kind of proof against us, because we believe that that is something that was fabricated by human beings, and it is not part of the religion of Jesus (peace be upon him) or the religion of any other Messenger."Sons of God" according to Judaism In the Tanakh, the phrase "son(s) of God" has multiple meanings: The Hebrew phrase Benei Elohim, often translated as "sons of God", describes angels or immensely powerful human beings. See Genesis 6:2-4 and Book of Job 1:6. Many Bible scholars believe that this reflects usage in pre-Biblical near-eastern mythology. It is used to denote a human judge or ruler (Psalm 82:6, "children of the Most High"; in many passages "gods" and "judges" seem to be equations). In a more specialized sense, "son of God" is a title applied only to the real or ideal king over Israel (II Samuel 7: 14, with reference to King David and those of his descendants who carried on his dynasty; comp. Psalm 89:27, 28). Israel as a people is called God's "son", using the singular form (comp. Exodus 4: 22 and Hosea 11:1). In the Tanakh the term itself does not connote any form of physical descent from, or unity of essence with, God. The Hebrew idiom conveys an expression of holyness (=to be special) or great power. In Judaism the term "son of God" is rarely used in the sense of "messiah, or anointed ones." Psalm 2 refers to God's appointed king of Zion as both God's messiah (an anointed king) and like a son of God. In Judaism, it is through such personal relations that the individual becomes conscious of God's fatherhood, and gradually in Hellenistic and rabbinical literature "sonship to God" was ascribed first to every Israelite and then to every member of the human race (Abot 3:15, 5:20; Ber. 5:1; see Abba). In one midrash, the Torah is poetically said to be God's "daughter", (Leviticus Rabbah 20); - the Shabbat is said to be a queen. The New Testament uses "Son of God" to refer to Jesus and to a larger body of followers of Jesus. Because there was no explanation of the former, interpretations have abounded including, but not limited to, the following. In the Gospel of John, the author writes that "to all who believed him and accepted him [Jesus], he gave the right to become children of God" [John 1:12] and repeats this in [3:1]. In like manner, numerous other passages of the New Testament refer to believers achieving a relationship as a "son of God". (Mat 12:50; Rom 8:14-19; 1Jo 3:1-2; Phl 2:15; Gal 3:26) It is common to hear Christians refer to "children of God", and likewise, "the Heavenly Father" (God). In modern English usage In modern English usage, the Son of God is almost always a reference to Jesus Christ in religious contexts. In other contexts it may be taken as one sex of the children of god, which connotates all humankind on earth. This usage of the word “son” in the language of the Bible is a metaphor for the righteous servant of God, without it implying anything special or unique about the way in which he is created, or describing him literally as the offspring of God. Hence John says:One of the most incredible types of evidence is the testimony of prophecy. The Old Testament contains a number of messianic prophecies made centuries before Christ appeared on the earth. The fact that He fulfilled each one is powerful testimony that He was no ordinary man. Allow me to illustrate this point using eight prophecies. The Uniqueness of Jesus Genesis 12:1-3 states the Messiah would come from the seed of Abraham. Genesis 49:10 states that He would be of the tribe of Judah. 2 Samuel 7:12 states that Messiah would be of the line of King David. Micah 5:2 states that He would be born in the city of Bethlehem. Daniel 9:24 states He would die or be "cut off" exactly 483 years after the declaration to reconstruct the temple in 444 B.C. Isaiah 53 states that the Messiah would die with thieves, then be buried in a richman's tomb. Psalm 22:16 states upon His death His hands and His feet would be pierced. This is quite significant since Roman crucifixion had not been invented at the time the Psalmist was writing. Isaiah 49:7 states that Messiah would be known and hated by the entire nation. Not many men become known by their entire nation, and even less are despised by the entire nation. Now calculate the possibility of someone fulfilling these by coincidence. Professor Stadlin says: The entire Gospel of John was written by one of the students of the Alexandrian school. One sect, in the second century, rejected this Gospel and everything that was attributed to John. The Gospel of John is the fourth gospel in the canon of the New Testament, traditionally ascribed to John the Evangelist. Like the three synoptic gospels, it contains an account of some of the actions and sayings of Jesus, but differs from them in ethos and theological emphases. The purpose is expressed in the conclusion, 20:30-31: ", these [Miracles of Jesus] are written down so you will come to believe that Jesus is the Anointed, God's son — and by believing this have life in his name. According to Trinitarianism, (see also Trinitarianism— Scripture and tradition), of the four gospels, John presents the highest christology, implicitly declaring Jesus to be God. Compared to the synoptics, John focuses on Jesus' cosmic mission to redeem humanity over the earthly mission to teach, cast out demons (which is not mentioned), and comfort the poor. The Bible in which it says that the Messiah is the son of God is the same Bible in which the lineage of the Messiah ends with Adam (peace be upon him), and he too is described as a son of God.Jesus as messiah That "son of God" sometimes means messiah (an anointed person rather than a "godly person" in the New Testament, is also acknowledged in the Bauer lexicon, a dictionary of Koine Greek begun by Walter Bauer. This is supported by the references to the Messiah as son of God in the Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha (see above). In the first century, Messiah was a political office. The New Testament might threaten the political authority of caesar who also took the title "Son of God" as shown by ancient, Roman coinage. “Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli … the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God”Mt 1:1. THE BOOK (or record) OF THE GENERATION (or genealogy) or ancestors— OF JESUS CHRIST (the Messiah). Jesus is the Greek, Joshua is the Hebrew. Jesus is the Christ, which means the Savior, the Messiah, the Anointed or Anointed One. Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament, begins with the creation of God. Matthew, the first book of the New Testament, begins with the ancestry of the Creator. The verse continues— THE SON OF DAVID. The last person to sit upon the royal throne (Jechonias) was about 600 years previous to the birth of John the Baptist. Regardless, the Messiah still had to be of royal descent according to the prophecies. Jesus is called the Son of David, as David was His great, great, great, great-etc., grandfather. David’s name may be mentioned first, because the King that was to rule over the nation was to come through the lineage of David. Jesus is that King. Jesus is the OFFSPRING OF DAVID. Jesus is of the lineage of David both through Joseph and Mary. Thus He is called the Son of David. The Messiah had to come through the seed of Abraham, through the tribe of Judah, and through the seed of David. JESUS IS CALLED In the New Testament, Jesus is first called the SON OF DAVID in Mt 1:1. This gives Him the right to the throne of David. In the New Testament, Jesus is first called the SON OF ABRAHAM in Mt 1:1. This gives Him the right to all of Israel. In the New Testament, Jesus is first called the SON OF GOD in Mt 4:3. This gives Him the right to everything. He is the Heir of all things. In the New Testament, Jesus is first called the SON OF MAN in Mt 8:20. This gives Him the right to all the earth. The verse continues— THE SON OF ABRAHAM. David is called the son of Abraham, as Abraham was his great, great, great, great, great-etc., grandfather. Two covenants are alluded to here, the Davidic (2 Sam 7) and the Abrahamic (Gen 12, Gen 15). Thus Matthew deals with the lineage of Jesus through Joseph, showing He is from the right ancestry. The legal right of Jesus to sit upon the throne of David as King needed to be established. His ancestry had to traced directly to the line of the throne of David through Solomon. This is an area that had to be dealt with to show that Jesus was the One to fulfill God’s covenant. Matthew dealt with this question in detail. Thus Son of David comes first followed by Son of Abraham. If there had been any flaw in the genealogy of Jesus, as to His identification of being the Christ, the Pharisees or other religious leaders would have surely found it and pointed it out. Christian theology While individual books within the Christian Bible present narratives set in certain historical periods, most Christian denominations teach that the Bible itself has an overarching message. There are among Christians wide differences of opinion as to how particular incidents as described in the Bible are to be interpreted and as to what meaning should be attached to various prophecies. However, Christians in general are in agreement as to the Bible's basic message. A general outline, as described by C.S. Lewis, is as follows: At some point in the past, mankind learned to depart from God's will and began to sin. Because no one is free from sin, humanity cannot deal with God directly, so God revealed Himself in ways people could understand. God called Abraham and his progeny to be the means for saving all of mankind. To this end, He gave the Law to Moses. The resulting nation of Israel went through cycles of sin and repentance, yet the prophets show an increasing understanding of the Law as a moral, not just a ceremonial, force. Jesus brought a perfect understanding of the Mosaic Law, that of love and salvation. By His death and resurrection, all who believe are saved and reconciled to God. Many people who identify themselves as Christians, Muslims, or Jews regard the Bible as inspired by God yet written by a variety of imperfect men over thousands of years. Belief in sacred texts is attested to in Jewish antiquity, and this belief can also be seen in the earliest of Christian writings. Various texts of the Bible mention Divine agency in relation to prophetic writings, the most explicit being: 2 Timothy 3:16: "All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in justice." In their book A General Introduction to the Bible, Norman Geisler and William Nix wrote: "The process of inspiration is a mystery of the providence of God, but the result of this process is a verbal, plenary, inerrant, and authoritative record."Some Biblical scholars, particularly Evangelicals, associate inspiration with only the original text; for example some American Protestants adhere to the 1978 Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy which asserted that inspiration applied only to the autographic text of Scripture
