We previously reported an argument between Jay-Z and Beyonce that took place at a Nets game. Apparently, the fight led to Beyonce storming off the court and leaving town. Well, we heard a little rumor that the couple was arguing over Rihanna! Rumor has it that Bey was jealous that Jay was spending too much time with Rihanna. Of course, the two have to talk frequently as Rihanna is currently promoting her album on Def Jam where Jay-Z is the President, but it has been said that it’s not all business with those two. Well, we caught up with Rihanna and she denied it. But of course she would, right? http://www.bet.com/Music/LOOSE+LIPS+14.htm?wbc_purpose=Basic&WBCMODE=PresentationUnpublished&mb=1 9ja4eva:this is a comment from jay-z NEW YORK (Beyonce Fans Website) - Jay-Z and Beyonce have not only finally admitted to having a relationship, they have announced their plans to get married. With Beyonce by his side, the hip-hop star broke the news to a crowd gathered to say goodbye to departing Def Jam boss Lyor Cohen. Jay-Z took the mic, telling Cohen: "You've been one of the best friends I could have had, apart from this woman beside me who I love and who I will marry very soon." The pair has been dating since duetting on the track "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" in 2002, although both have always refused to publicly comment on the relationship. Cheers ![]() |

Action Congress (AC) chieftain and Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday urged Lagosians to defend their votes during forthcoming general elections, even as the party alleged plots by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rig the elections. If it is war, we’ll give it. If they want peace, we’ll give it. If they want riot, we’ll give it. If they want dead body, they will get it. They cannot kill all of us,” he said. The governor made the remark in Awuwo-Odofin area of the state where the party flagged-off its governorship campaign rally ahead of the April elections. According to him; “Today, we start another crusade, another revolution, while he described the forthcoming election as what would determine the fortune of Nigerians and Lagosians in particular. Fighting for your right is fighting for your votes. Fighting for your votes is defending your future, to assure you of a better tomorrow,” he said. While urging the crowd to vote out the PDP at the national level and resist its attempt to gain the control of the state in the next political dispensation, Tinubu alleged that “eight years of PDP have brought sorrow and bitterness. Speaking in the same vein, former Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adeshina alleged that the PDP in its desperate attempt to retain the control of the nation and win Lagos State, has already written the result of the elections in its favour. “You have to be extra-ordinarily vigilant. Lagosians should be battle ready as Bode George and his PDP cohorts have already written the score. “Yoruba race is battle ready and whoever rigs this election will continue to live with the stigma for life,” he assured. Before presenting the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, to the crowd, Tinubu said the lawyer turned politician is the most credible of all those who jostled for the ticket a few months ago. He also spoke on why he did not support the governorship aspiration of his deputy, Femi Pedro and some of the commissioners, who wanted to succeed him, during the party primaries. “I know them very well, I trained them. I am their boss,” he alleged, adding that “Hakeem Gbejabiamila (a former commissioner in his cabinet) cannot do the job. I know them too well. I am their boss, I know them one by one. They are not competent. “I leave Tokunbo. We asked him to be senator in Lagos Central, and then Lagos West. He has now gone to ANPP, a party you cannot pronounce. “And what is the symbol of that party? Corn. He had now become a chicken holding corn. Chop Chop party. We told him, but he wouldn’t listen,” he said. Presenting his agenda at the rally, Fashola assured that he would continue with Tinubu’s legacies and even improve on them, if elected into office. The highlight at the rally was the open declaration of some defectors from the PDP into the AC wat do u think? http://www.thetimesofnigeria.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1884 |
Why Music? Music is my first love. I hail from a family of singers. I was told that my grand father was a singer and that my uncle was a musician who travelled to Ghana and other countries. I grew up fiddling with the acoustic guitar. In my fourth year in secondary school, I wrote a song in French, which was featured in a show on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Channel 8, Enugu. I did my first demonstration in 1987 and went into music before movies. Basically, I will feel unaccomplished and unfulfilled, if I die today without expressing myself musically. I even have a full album of 10 songs that I plan to release sooner than later. Moreover, there has always been a bond between movies and music. In America, artistes (like Whitney Houston) usually switch from movies to music or vice versa. Who writes your songs? I do. I obtain a lot of material from the Bible. The Bible is the word of God, and it contains many praise songs. I derive inspiration from messages that are preached both within my church and at different Christian functions that I attend. I sing mainly to praise God and I do this in different forms. I am also going to collaborate with Ugandan gospel musicians on some songs, though I am here basically for a movie project. You must have had an interesting background. Anyway, while in secondary school, I was a member of the Dramatic Society. We used to travel to states in Nigeria for stage performances. My inclination has been mostly towards the arts, although I was a science student. My father wanted me to be a medical doctor, but I refused. I was good at drawing and Fine Art was one of my best subjects. You mean you abandoned school for theatre? No. After graduation, I did so many things. I did clearing and forwarding. Since I was also good at drawing, I went to Balogun market in Lagos, looked at the designs of shoes, made them and sold. I made one or two batches, which were even sold abroad. Unfortunately, one day, I went to my shop and discovered that thieves had broken into it and made away with everything. I believed that when God is ready to take a man to a certain destination, He makes him pass through certain routes. I just moved on without any regrets. And then…? Later I went into buying and selling, I did supplies too. In the process of supplying some goods, I met a friend, Ekenna Igwe, who is now president of the Screen Writers Guild of Nigeria. He introduced me to a number of friends who were then working on a movie script The Unforgivable Sin. It was an Igbo movie with English subtitles. It was the first movie I starred in. The Igbo are the largest ethnic group in southeastern Nigeria. Though I come from Gabon, I was very fluent in Igbo. I have lived in Nigeria for years. That film got me my first nomination in 1995 AMEN awards as the best actor. After that, I began to get offers to star in movies. Since then I have featured in about 150 different films, playing leading roles. Wats ur view? http://www.thetimesofnigeria.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=269&Itemid=90&PHPSESSID=e42164c74ca3eb53139f2171bcb00c98

Obasanjo's son files for divorce, "My wife can't cook" - Gbenga Gbenga Obasanjo, the first son of President Olusegun Obasanjo, is proving that he is every inch a chip off the old block. That was the reaction of many Nigerians to the story broken by P.M.News that the President’s first son has filed a divorce suit against his wife of six years, Mojisola, daughter of distinguished businessman, Chief Alex Onabanjo. Though the couple have been living apart for some time now, the suit was filed last year, precisely on Tuesday, 28 December, at the Ikeja High Court. Gbenga cited incompatibility as one of the grounds for the divorce. The first son of the first citizen also did not spare his father in-law in an interview with TheNEWS magazine. “I can’t stay in the same room with my father in-law. I am divorcing my wife. You know I would have loved to show you the papers, but I don’t want you to know my house,” Gbenga said in the interview. Ironically, the engagement ceremony which preceded the wedding of Gbenga and Moji Alex-Onabanjo, was the talk of the town when it took place in 2000. Virtually all the serving ministers, state governors, captains of industry and notable personalities graced the occasion . P.M.News gathered that the immediate reason for the twist in the relationship of the former love birds was Moji's inability to cook her husband's meal. Gbenga, it was gathered, had insisted that rather than the househelp, Moji should be the one to prepare his meals. The president’s son, it was gathered, consequently sent the househelp packing, but helpless Moji recalled her. Gbenga, it was learned, became infuriated and sent the maid packing the second time. The medical doctor was also said to have been disappointed in his father in-law, who took sides with his daughter and failed to admonish her to return to her matrimonial home to prepare simple meals. Gbenga seems to have taken after his father who has a penchant of living separately from many of his women. Remi, the mother of Gbenga and Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, the incumbent Commissioner of Health in Ogun State, was the first wife of the President. But President Obasanjo and the woman have been living separately for many years. Some of the president's estranged wives are Major Moji Obasanjo (retd.), Taiwo Martins, the twin sister of top politician, Kenny Martins, etc. As a result of the president's penchant for using women and dumping them, there has been no legitimate wife in his life since the death of Chief (Mrs.) Stella Obasanjo on October 23 last year. Divorce seems to run in the family as Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello has also divorced her husband for allegedly using her father’s name to engage in fraudulent activities abroad. http://www.thetimesofnigeria.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=252&Itemid=90 |

christana i remember well when she accuse me dat i dont love her becos i'm not a jealous type after a conversatn-must jealousy exist in a relationship? |
Yeah u right! ![]() from a repliable source This entry was posted on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at 5:52 am and is filed under Superchismosa Gossip. Yesterday an e-mail from one of Beyonce’s assistants was passed around the blogosphere, creating quite a scandal due to its claim that Jay-Z pushes and shoves Beyonce behind closed doors: [center]Seems that for a while he’s had a problem with keeping his hands to himself. Now I’ve never seen him just flat out strike Bee, but too many times have I seem him shove and push her…I’ve been [Beyonce’s assistant] and friend for a while now and I’ve always wanted to say something but I never felt it was my place. He treats Beyonce like she’s an object and not a person. The [EXPLETIVE] should be happy that a beautiful woman finally wants and loves his ugly [EXPLETIVE] for more than just what’s in his pockets.[/center] Attached to the e-mail is a video which allegedly shows Jay-Z using the same aggressive techniques on an unknown woman. (See the video here.) Frankly, it’s not THAT compelling…but it does suggest the teeny tiniest bit of “bullying” from Jay-Z–if you want to call it that and I’m not sure we do. (It looks awfully close to what I used to do to my little brother. Sorry, Bri.) Is it true? Is Jay-Z really pushing Beyonce around and scaring her into submission? Damn it…I just watched North County with Charlize Theron so I’m a bit more tapped into the concept that men sometimes do terrible sh*t to women that everyone ignores. And when women make it public, they get called crazy. But this is Beyonce, chismosas. I have a very hard time believing that Bee of all people would put up with that sh*t. I mean, the girl’s got self esteem to spare. I can’t see her sticking around an abusive relationship with anyone, and I really can’t see her father putting up with it either. She’s his bread and butter. No way Papa Knowles is going to let some other man mess indirectly with his checking account, even if that man is the self-proclaimed King of hip-hop. So yeah, at the risk of indirectly condoning years of women’s oppression, I’m inclined not to believe it in this instance. But for the record, my verdict is still out on Kobe and you know I love the Lakers. check source out fom my page.

2007–present: Departure from Blackground… Braxton has been released from her contract with Blackground after a number of disputes with former manager Barry Hankerson. On January 12, 2007, Braxton filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan against Barry Hankerson for $10 million, alleging "fraud, deception and double dealing" in the matter of mismanaging and destroying her relationship with Arista Records. According to Braxton, Hankerson placed his own personal financial interests ahead of hers during the management of her recording career by using "underhanded double-talk" to compromise and destroy her relationship with Arista Records to lure her to his Blackground label. Braxton alleged that Hankerson told Arista that "[she] no longer wanted to record for Arista," while at the same time telling her that "Arista was not interested in working with her anymore," which, according to her, were false statements on both ends. Braxton also accused Hankerson of failing to send to her on request copies of accounting statements, lying about deals that he made on her behalf and engaging in a vendetta against her by refusing to provide information to other managers that she sought to hire to manage her career. It was also announced that Braxton would be parting ways with Blackground Records after just one album. The suit has been settled. check out for more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Braxton

Date of Birth: October 7,1967 Place of Birth: Severn, Maryland, USA Mother : Evelyn Braxton : Father: Michael Braxton Brother(s): 1 brother Sister(s) :4 sisters Statistics Height: 5' 2" Hair/Eyes Color: Brown / Brown Marital Status: Married to Keri Lewis (April 21, 2001) Toni Braxton was born October 7, 1968, in Severn, Maryland, the daughter of an Apostolic minister and a vocalist. Toni, her four sisters and her brother were forced to live under the strict rules of their family's faith. The girls of the Braxton family were not allowed to wear pants, sandals or makeup, were not allowed to have boyfriends, and the children were not allowed to listen to mainstream music. That didn't stop them from listening to music; when their parents were out, they watched Soul Train and listened to music. Toni and her siblings no longer had to sneak around to watch television once her parents joined the United Methodist Church, which had less strict rules. Watching soul greats such as Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan eventually contributed to Toni's musical style. Doe-eyed Toni discovered her talent as a member of the church choir, which her mother encouraged her to join. Although Toni knew she wanted to pursue a singing career, she received a college education at Bowie State University. While studying teaching, Toni never gave up music. She took singing lessons to fulfill her true passion in life. Remaining true to her love for music, Toni and her sisters formed a group called the Braxtons. . .

Nigerians deported from Morocco Some 500 Nigerian migrants have been sent home from Morocco where they had been living in forests. The migrants were flown from the central city of Fez to discourage illegal entry into Europe. Most of those repatriated had run out of money to pay people smugglers to continue their journeys. This is the third such operation carried out jointly by Nigeria and Morocco in recent months, according to the Nigerian Embassy in Rabat. Volunteer Morocco is the staging-post for illegal migrants from Nigeria, Gambia, Guinea , Mali and Senegal hoping to enter Europe through Spain. The latest group comprised 313 men and 160 women and some small children believed to have been born in the forests. The BBC's Pascale Harter in Rabat, says most of the migrants volunteer to return home instead of living tough in the forests near the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla on the Mediterranean coast. Last month 657 Nigerians were repatriated on two flights from Oujda and Nador in northern Morocco. The migrants travel in vehicles and on foot across the Saharan regions of Niger, Mali and Algeria before crossing the Mediterranean Sea into southern Spain. More than 17,000 illegal migrants were intercepted this year while attempting to enter Spain by sea. why most we disgrace our father land http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3354799.stm Migrants hide in the forests until they are ready for the risky crossing into Spain (picture)
