I haven't seen it, just thought to ask before I enter lacuna. Thank you for the detailed explanation Lexusgs430: Cat N(non structural) is the best type of write-off to buy......
Have you seen pictures of the vehicle, after it was categorised......
You would get a considerable discount buying the vehicle....... So only buy with a long term view of ownership, or else when you intend to sell, it would also be priced as if you stole it ........😜
NB: Also point to consider, an insurance company would not write a vehicle off twice (take note)......😚
CAT N, I bought for my daughter last month....... Her brother would be inheriting this from her .......😂😜..... Saved over £3000 vs clean title...... 😊 |

Thank you. They only give her 10-20 hours per week. ReesheesuKnack: Your sister is a student. That means she is a tier-4 student visa holder? Your sister can only legally work a maximum of 20 hours per week (during term time) is that correct?
This domiciliary care company she works for, did they offer your sister a ‘full time’ (20 hours per week) employment? Or does your sister only just pick up shifts (where available), up to 20 hours per week?
Maybe you need to discuss with your sister about the kind of ‘employment’ this domiciliary care company has given her. In all, I implore your sister to thread carefully. |

Thank you boss Solumtoya: Also, if you're financing the car, don't use the dealers or comparison sites, etc. Their rates are quite high (28% to 40%+). If you can't get single digit from your bank, use an App called Carmoola and thank me later. You'd get like 14% there and the best user experience ever. |

Correct! Cedarcrest is good, I assisted in spine surgeries for a year before leaving Nigeria. If you don't want a Nigeria trained spine surgeon, you can request for a UK trained spine surgeon for the procedure if it's an elective surgery . Spine surgeons comes from the UK every 3 months to operate in the hospital. By the way, I go Sabi you be that rinzylee: Go to Cedarcrest Abuja. I worked there for 2 years and some of my Team members are still there. Save that travel money and get great care too. Make we dey believe naija too nah bikonu. My mum had her spine surgery multilevel decompression in Enugu sef. I didn't want her to go all the way to Abuja. We have great hands back home too. |

How are we doing?
Please does anyone know any bookshop that majors in fairly new/ used Christian books in England, preferably East England or London? I want to build my Spiritual library again here without going the way of amazon.
I know in Naija, we usually see these books displayed on the floor at popular junctions and sell cheap too.

Noted Viruses: HP if you want to own the car after payment PCP if you want to return the car after payment.
If you want to own the car after payment and go by the option of PCP, the final payment is usually huge. |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by donald197: 4:20pm On Feb 10, 2023 |
Thank you boss Lexusgs430: You have to decide, what is best for you ........
Viruses already stated the main difference...... But to add, after your PCP deal elapses, you can pick up another brand new car, rinse and repeat the process (you never fully own a PCP vehicle, unless you negotiate to buy vehicle (at a price the dealer would fix).........
With most PCP plans, all you need to do is add fuel (your PCP provider takes care of road tax, maintenance, wear & tyre to tyres insurance etc etc etc )
HP - You own the vehicle from the time you sign the contract, all vehicle cost/maintenance on your head ...........
Which is the best option ?? You decide what works for you ........ |

They only allow using the exact card as the name of the applicant for payment Follow the guide on their portal to register the card if you want to use the card for someone else. |

Hi. Pls when did you pay for the passport? I am trying to pay for renewal but prompt I got was to first upload my credit card , bank statement and ID first. Did you experience similar issue? domin8: To add to this, I was at the high commission last Friday to renew my Son's passport. Just ensure you get there early enough (8 - 8:30am) before they open and join the queue. They currently use a tally number system so it's first come first enter irrespective of your appointment time. I got in 8:30am and we left 12pm. We had all our documents though and didn't need to tip anybody, hope this helps. |

Thank you for your advice. I replied for her, and made the necessary corrections as advised. She did her biometrics July 5, we picked the passport yesterday. Visa approved. giselle237: 1. I don’t know why this ECO says she did not have any salary deposits from her employer.. that’s weir as if she made up her employment 2. I think she should wait 6 months to get it right 3. Shopping is not mandatory. She does not need to provide a budget for shopping. 4. Fully sponsor her trip but she needs her account now more than ever as she was denied on claims tht money lodgement and no salary credits 5. If she agrees to wait, you all should provide an alternate source of income or allowance for her so that the money in her statemnt stays there for a while and there are not so many credits disturbing the statement. 6. If salary is 130k, you can leave 120k in it every month 7. She needs to declare on the form say 50k cash gifts from her daughter 8. Documents to attach- a very strong worded cover letter to address her ties, she has been married for years, working since 1988 is no joke, explain her finances, explain she has cars and properties, whether in her name or your dad’s name attach all Her itinerary for the trip. - you write a cover letter/invitation letter to the IKVI. Tie the trip to something at this point. you need to see you mother as it has been too long, how due to work commitments, you can mention working in the health field and how challenging it is and you have not been able to avail time to travel. You need ur mom to come during her annual leave. Explain details of your sponsorship to the eco, her arrival, her departure etc - Invitation to your mom -her bank statement - her payslips.. there is no government parastatal tht does not give payslips, she should ask - the house she lives in, is it owned or rented.. show house tie - marriage certificate and pictures with spouse -various family photos including where u appear - your birth certificate - her work id and introduction letter from office - not one line, strong worded letter saying where she is going to etc, all promotion letters from time immemorial - proofs of all the assets and property she has including pictures - husband can write a letter, hopefully your dad will be in Nigeria during her trip and should sign tht he the spouse will be in Nigeria for her trip while she goes and comes back - your brp, your passprt data page, pictures betwwen both of you during sensitive family functions or from when you were little as they claim there is no relationship - 6 mnths bank sttaement, payslips, work id, mortgagae or tenancy, council tax and utility bills from u - everything else that can help her case |

I will be working in Royal hospital, guess I will just stay in the town. Thanks kaylov12: This depends on what you'll be there for; work or study. I would advise that you ignore the negatives and focus more on what you are there for. |

Thank you kaylov12: Stoke is a small and typically quiet city. Not much activities, about 40mins drive to Manchester.
Cost of living depends on what you want. If single with no baggages, ST1 Hanley/Shelton is quite cheap. ST2,Trentham most expensive guess due to it nearness to tourist locations ST3, deprived area ST4, closest to the hospital ST6, I don't like that area, mostly deprived white working class area.
Since last year that I left, cost of accommodation has risen, like everywhere else in the UK.
There are 2 African shops in the city centre; Emma chuks Nigerian Mokola Ghanaian. both close to eachother.
Primary schools are quite good but Sec schools are kinda tricky, lots of behaviou issues.
It's q deprived city as I have said. Very little to no activity (I was there mostly during covid). If you are a social rat, not a place to live. |

Thank you. I contacted them today, was told they UkVI will attempt to pay into the account first. If it bounce, they will then contact me. semmyk: I'll assume UKVI is aware of batter's shutdown and might even attempt to contact you; either when refunding or failed refund. Whichever way, my gut feeling is to try and contact them ahead of time explicitly articulating the circumstances factual.
