Travel / Re: USA Visa Got Cancelled At POE Because The Officer Saw Something On My Biss Card. by donbigboy(m): 5:03am On Feb 18, 2017
cozybunch:
Hence you voluntarily withdrew your visa application, you are fine. You will only have a mountain to climb, meaning you have to convince visa officers that you are a genuine tourist. Good news is that you are not in the category of 3-10 years in admissibility to the united states or 1 year visa ban due to misrepresentation.

CBP officer has right to turn down any visa application at the point of entry if he or she dim so even thou
The officer has to back it up with reasons.

Remember guys this Q&A goes to every body including U.S citizens. Some time if the officer is not satisfactory on your answers you go through Secoundary inspection which U.S citizens go through also. The only difference betweena U.S citizen, permanent residence and a visitor is that u.s citizen can never be denied entry so also a permanent residence. The major difference in both is that if an officer sees discrepancy in the residence satutes such as your answers is in consistent to what they have, or you spend more time over sea than in United States, them the cbp officer will give you a deferred adjudication meaning you will have to come to an immigration judge to defend your self. The officer will take you documents from you and allow you into the country. You get your documents back when you win your case in court.

Please, it is very important to follow instructions and answer questions correctly.

I will advise you to reapply again, but have all necessary documents to support your case, that it was a mistake and that all your true intentions was for tourism purposes. It will not affect your canadain visa pursue. Voluntary visa withdrawal can happen to any body, is not a crime. It only gives you the opportunity to reapply again.
please a neighbor of mine was recently turned back at the point of entry in the USA for what they called "inadmissible for lack of cash" I hope she's not banned and what are the likely implications of this in the future application and finally, can she still travel to the USA again with the same visa?.

The President should do the right thing by paying up those accumulated allowances.

Those allowances were introduced for a reason and if HE felt such reasons are no longer necessary to the security operatives within the Seats of Power, pls kindly do away with it ...

But then again, will a typical Nigeria security operative still maintain the needed level of patriotism, dedication, loyalty and agility in the discharge of their duties while in Aso Rock with Mr President without these allowances ?

Let not be penny wise pounds fool...

Oga President please pay those "guys" they put their lives on the line everyday to protect you and your family...

I am tired of hearing all these shallow accusations, what do you understand by reserves, how do you think reserves are generated considering that in our economy virtually all the projected income is supposed to go into sharing between the tiers of govt, excess crude acct and sovereign wealth fund. And our constitution is against saving?

Anyways here is an article for you, hope you find the time to read and have a better understanding of our aggressive stance of defending the naira one certain time.

I was wondering. Now that oil prices are so low at $30 per barrel, the value of the Naira has depreciated to almost N300 to the dollar for the first time ever.

But When oil was been sold at an oil time high price of $140 per barrel. Why didnt the Naira appreciate to at least N100 or lesser to the dollar?

No one should tell me about the market forces of demand, supply and export.

When export value of the oil was so high why didnt the Naira gain so much.
I guess some forces didnt want naira to appreciate.

You just asked a very good question right there !!!

APC... Party of hypocrites!!!

I marvel at the way and manner we think in this country, worst of it the way we think in the north.
It is just a few months ago that we all continually lambasted president Jonathan's cluelessness, I referred to him as the "drunken master of Otuoke", and nobody harassed me, and now because they fear the power of the media that brought them to power they want to castrate the social media, with Buhari firing the first shot in an interview with Sahara reporters' Adeola in New York, why, is it because it is Buhari?
We demonstrated against pump price increment for petrol, government of president Buhari wants us to swallow the same pill we rejected a few months ago, yet some of my northern compatriots see nothing wrong with that, is it because it is Buhari?
When three sons of Sheik Zakzaky were murdered during the Jonathan administration, El-Rufa'i called it genocide by the jonathanian army, now under Buhari more than 200 are killed, their mosque and houses destroyed under Elrufai's nose as Governor of the same state, he has not called it genocide by the Buharian army, is it because it is Buhari?
Under the Jonathan administration subsidy payments were termed as fraud, and there were hues and cries to crucify oil marketers, Buhari even called it a fraud himself, we also thought so, Six months later the same Buhari is paying for subsidy yet nobody is calling it a fraud, why, is it because it is Buhari?
We criticized Jonathan for keeping a large fleet in the presidential fleet and wasting monies on maintenance, only recently President Buhari's spokesman admitted 2 billion Naira was spent on their maintenance, when other presidents are even doing away with their jets, yet we sit down and watch helplessly, is it because it Buhari?
Fuel scarcity is biting harder, value of the Naira is going rock bottom, inflation is now on auto pilot, while profits are dropping, purchasing powers are becoming weaker, yet we are asked not to query them, is it because it is Buhari?
If we criticized Jonathan for cluelessness, we will also criticize Buhari for helplessness.
While tribal and regional jingoist see nothing because it is Buhari, what I see first is Nigeria and not whether Jonathan is a southerner or Buhari is a Northerner, we cannot continue to be trapped in the closet of tribalism, regionalism and religious bigotry yet expect our country to remain one and grow.
I take solace in the fact that the shi'at/army clash did not happen under the Jonathan presidency, hypocrites would have twisted it as his hatred for Islam, this is why Jonathan should even thank God he lost that election.
Yes! we might be of different orientation and background but what is good is good any where any time and what is bad is bad, I cannot be suffering and keep smiling because "my brother" is the president.

Only the wise will understand.

Truth be Told, this is sad reality of Nigeria politics

abeg make una go sit down... am not an APC fan (check my posts to confirm that) but I really believe Jonathan almost ruined this nation...the worst he did was that he crippled the south politically (esp southeast and south-south) by allowing Jega distribute d PVC the way he did.
...
currently in Nigeria, the number of registrred voters in kano and katsina alone is bigger than the total number of registered voters in south east and south south put together.
..
so this new pro Jonathan's party, which country are they going to win an election even I. the next 100 years when buhari has made his relations everything that matters.

I still wonder till date how Jaga was able to manipulate Jonathan by allocating a higher numbers of pvc to his northern brother prior to election and Jonathan still expected to win...

Well, the fact remains that if one critically look at the ways and manner Jonathan manage the affairs of this country in the last 5 years without been sentimental, Honestly Jonathan deserve to be flog seriously !!!

Bethiano:
Hello friends,

This is a thread where we come to share our experience with the Nigerian postal service (NIPOST).

Nipost has undergone transformations recently, especially in the way and manner they do business . A lot of Nigerians have benefited from this transformation.

How be it, I do not claim it is all wonderful experience for everybody.
I know some people may have one or two "not to good" experience , but am sure we have a lot of good testimonies from Nigerians .

So let's here your experience, so we can help drive this transformation of the Nigerian postal service.

I will be sharing news on Nipost, you can also ask questions, an I will do my best to answer based on the much I know or I will refer you to Nipost customer service officers for more information.

You can also make recommendations, give ideas of what more could be done to make NIPOST great.

Thanks

Bethel Ukazu
The NIPOST AMBASSADOR

Well, I have used nipost to send documents to the us on two occasion and it got delivered within 2 weeks just as I was told at the post office.

But my concerns and worry now is about my latest mail I sent since on the 11 of November from Abuja which arrives Lagos on the 13th and there after notting more.... It keep saying "we have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece." Whenever I tracked it online vie usps up till this moment.

So am wondering what is actually going on....

Because this is unusual from my two experiences

When she fails, they will blame her failure on Iweala! They would tell you that Iweala messed up the economy so much that it would take Adeosun 100 years to fix the economy. grin

You heard it from pazienza first. I will save this thread in my archives, for the "I told you so " days.

The same alibi has been prepared for Fashola and other Odua ministers. cheesy

Congratulations to the NEW Minsters!

Madam Kemi of FINANCE is certainly going to have the TEST of her life managing that ministry in the era of TSA and falling oil price....

Oga Fashola welcome to politics at the National Level sir.... Hope you will not build a highways for Nigerians with our tax money and toll them as well.... Beside, one of your portfolio I so much like is that of Ministry of POWER which you as an individual criticised the past administration for inability to fix power. Its on record that in one of the APC campaign rallies you told the whole world that ANY government who can't fix power for Nigerians within six (6) months has no business been in Government...

Oga Fasola, welcome on board....

Btw we don't won't your multiple taxation....
