Noswaa: I am still confused if this massive denial is caused by Nigerians VO working with the commission or the Canadian itself that is doing it because i knew that Nigerians are very good in blocking people's progress.
Could some of the V.O's be Nigerians? @all that were contacted by CDHC thru phone call (Mercylicious) or in person(TRV_IJN), was it a foreigner or otherwise?

mercylicious: Sept applicants, any news? Lalla89 and Doncipher? Any update?
@Mercylicious no update yet oh, this is 2wks since @Cori corde & wuralulu got CDHC updates. Sep might have a larger number of applicants due to pple who applied for fall but were refused and they reapplied - my thots. Anyways all i'm interested in is success in my app & not whether it's getting late or CDHC going on vacation.

mercylicious: Please what kinda test do they conduct in d medical test?
Sir P!:
HIV ,TB n chest X-ray . Those are the ones they make obvious. There could be more however. But they just take a blood sample
Hepatitis is also included - a type of it is sexually transmitted.

harrymann: Nice to know that this forum is waxing stronger . For those coming in , this is some advice for u:

1. Come well prepared with thermal wears, it is very cold.
2. Focus on your studies and forget about working on campus during your first semester . It will will give you better time to adjust to the educational system here.
3. Target a GPA of at least 70% , so you can apply for your offcampus work permit after 6 months.

4. Cut your coat according to your pocket so you won't go broke. No one will dash you free money in Canada like in Nigeria .
5. Don't sign up for more than on credit card . The consequence is huge .
6. Stay away from bad friends to avoid deportation.
7. Finally, focus on what brought you here to Canada, every other thing is secondary . You reward for your sacrifice comes after you are done with school.

I wish you all a safe trip to Canada. The most peaceful country in the world.

Harry
MSc. graduate
University of Regina.
@Siga, please i didn't get ur explanation on #5..."You need to start building ur credit history"

lilaowow: she was SOOOO certain I'd get it (in fact she traveled wit my Tuition, I was amazed when I saw it)...

Reason--- no sufficient balance without blah blah blah.... Sponsor not credible..

A question for the house, does No sufficient balance always comes with sponsor not credible??
My observation thus:
1. Probably CDHC verified your sponsors accounts but like u said ur sponsor travelled with ur tuition so they couldn't see the money stated in account.
2. From the docs u submitted, u indicated ur brother (Co-sponsor) had less than 100K if i'm right in his acct because he had withdrawn a large sum for business but he had good inflow & outflow. Putting 1 & 2 together, CDHC just assumed.

humanshado: Masters in Chemical Engineering (U of Regina, U of British Columbia); Masters in Petroleum Engineering (U of Calgary). This is going to be my second master's degree though. I already have an MSc from the UK in 2010 in a different subject. I hope this will not be a problem when I apply for visa.
I guess giving details about your educational history and why u're opting for a master's and not PHD would help the house on how to advise u.
log1: You dont have problem has long you dont make reference to the first master degree you had in Uk
Please do not even think of attempting this, what would u tell CDHC u were doing during that period of master's or how would u not mention a visa that's in your passport.

Recently we've been ranked the 35th most corrupt nation in the world - the minister of information blamed it on the nigerian media/nigerians who when asked speak -ve abt the country instead of acknowledging govt efforts...soon embassies go dey go our village go ask questions.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by DonCipher: 12:13pm On Dec 05, 2012
The most important thing right now is a call for medics, after which one can estimate departure date. CDHC is not on holidays -awaiting medics here is just a minute fraction of a whole lot.

nivax21: @all,my agent called me few minutes ago and told me that I have been invited for medicals!and also pay one year tuition..thank God
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by DonCipher: 1:08pm On Nov 29, 2012
genep: $9750 is part of tuition fees
Guy is this amount equivalent to One year tuition CDHC asked u to pay? If yes, fine but if no u seem to be playing with fire. You could come up with an arrangement as regards accommodation with ur school but that luxury doesn't extend to tuition fees...Cheers

@J20 please do get back to the house on ur applicatn's progress after getting ur alert ystday. U did medicals jst 2wks ago & didn't pay tuition @ all...Cheers
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by DonCipher: 11:25am On Nov 16, 2012
J20: Just finished with medicals.
I advise those going for medicals to open the enclosed brown envelope and make 4 copies of the Medical report form; also 4 copies of data page of international passport and have 4 passport photographs with name and Intl passport number written behind. The fee is N28k and it took me about 5 hours at Childrens, Ikoyi. I spent some time running around looking for a place to make copies, luckily I had passport photos with me.

God will see us all through IJN. Goodluck to all.

Don Cipher: U submitted Aug 28th & got ds info on ur 10th week, that shuld mean CDHC is already verifying Sep applicatn's or they are reviewing both Aug & Sep @d same time wrt issues raised abt trv quotas for a given period stated by some veterans here (Maybe the reason no news yet from Aug applicants); else Aug applicants shuld have heard from CDHC (Unless ders a delay in verificatn of docs so CDHC moved on 2d next 1). There maybe no backlogs like last year - dnt forget VAC whc was not in existence ds time last year was established to ease stress & by statement from @illuminati they stopped accepting more winter app sumtym in Sep. Lets see wht ds week wuld bring...Cheers
I posted this 2 days ago referencing @lillaowow's post of CDHC contacting his sponsors work place exactly 2wks ago; with the current activity in the house i could say my deductions are near correct "Jokzoh 28th August wit med call" Sep Applicants buckle up for next weeks med calls...Cheers
