Based on a careful study of ur application whc u have provided in support of ur app, i am not satisfied u meet the requirements of the act & regulations. I am therefore refusing ur application.

This application is closed. Please note that any new information u wish to provide must be submitted with a new app & processing fee. Should u wish to reapply, i would suggest that u do so only if ur situation has changed substantively or you have new information to submit.

I tracked my app ystday after viewing the activity on this thread 4d last 2 days, news not pleasant.

Wuld be @ Vfs to collect my docs 2mr mrn - 2nd denial after 22wks. I feel much better unlike the 1st; CDHC Nig makes one develop tough skin.

The xperience is apprc8td - i wuld take a short break to evaluate; next trial wuld be for PRV, cos Canada still on ma mind.

@Siga, Phemmy, Ifegy ur experience wuld be invaluable - wuld make contact soon.

@Siga ds thing doesn't make any sense @all. If they feel its to early for processing fall, why can't they retain docs till whn appropriate - then advice applicants to either wait or withdraw their apps if they can't wait enymor.

This is pure fraud.

@Kayce43 u once quoted sum1's app (i guess bumdish) was processed for 8mths, wat happened then?

If u withdraw ur app without any instruction based on assumption, then u have no case against them; because a year ago they did process all backlogs.

Wuld mosdef visit CDHC soon.

@Kayce43 dnt mean to doubt u, but are u sure u understood wat ur agency said? It is stated "Processing times is frm submission date till decision is made". If CDHC tries that, such is actionable in court; because it is fraudulent to request applicants re-apply & pay anoda app fee when u did not process anythng, the fault based on their inability to perform - best they can do is to deny to cover tracks, i'm sure they knw that...ds same backlog occurred a year ago whn VAC was not operating & their was much more confusion, but they didn't do wat u are disclosing.

I was @ CDHC last week monday, since i didn't go with a print-out of new start date i was asked to send it via email with my application number as the title.

Today my application marks 21wks @ CDHC.

It's very possible, u can boycott evrythn frm Uni app fees, Visa, Tuition, esp Air fares & jst swim all d way to Canada, u dnt nid to bother urself abt POE.

Invincible1: Yes O my broda, just that from time to time they get external assistance for about 6 weeks or thereabout to clear the heavy backlog that they inevitably had gathered.

Just thot to ask was the info on number of V'0s just stated or they were introduced & attendees fielded them with questions; if the later, are they locals or foreigners?

Even 2 V'Os are nt enuf for study permit app's alone hw mch more evrythn.

Invincible1: Hi all, I was at the Lagos leg of the Canada Education fair on Saturday the 26th mainly to attend the visa application seminar. I did not learn anything significantly different from all that's been discussed on this forum.

However,the major info I got which explains the delay in Visa processing times is that there are only two Visa officers processing the Canadian visa applications of the whole Naija applicants ....whether it be student, tourist, Visiting, etc visas. You can imagine our shock.

Also, CDHC will soon start E-applications -I think this should be in the month of March or May,I can't remember when exactly but before October this year when the Biometrics requirements will also come into effect.

The good news about the E-application is that apart from filling and submitting the application forms,Questionnaire etc online, you will only have to scan and upload all your documents-including the data page of your International passport online. So, no more CDHC holding unto your Int'l passports for ever.

However, if they are not clear about any of your documents they will write you and ask to see the Original copies. Also very importantly,when they are very certain that they want to issue an applicant the TRV, they will request for Him/Her to submit the Original Int'l passport for them to view/sight and at the same time place the TRV in it.

^^^Der seems 2b a lot of confusion @ CDHC evidenced with lack of corellation in procedures; shuldn't be a surprise they dnt follow their FIFO ideals anymore.

@all Aug & Sep med awaitees resident in lagos, lets try & visit CDHC and fill the inquiry form @d gate. This could make them give priority to us if the inquiries @d gate start mounting. We could get +ve results by next week.

4. Date of Application Submission
5. Mode of Submission (VFS or Self)
6. Reason for Inquiry

Already paid full tuition b4 i submitted - God wuld perfect the rest...

Filled an inquiry form @ the gate stating my purpose (No update 17wks after submission & classes resumed last wk). I waited 30mins then i got a call.

Caller: Ur application is still being processed & u will be contacted, can u get an extension frm ur school or a deferal?

I explained my school said i can't resume 4 winter after Jan 7th & so i have requested for a deferal.

Caller: What was their response?
I said it's in process

Caller: Ok

That was it...

mercylicious: My status is still d same, I feel they removed my file from the queue after they called me on Dec 10th. Am going to send them a mail tommorow morning by 8am (so dt the mail will be among the 1st they will see). Today makes it 4 months frm submission date.

Sent a mail for the 1st time on friday but got an out of office response, i shuld not resend email my inquiries would be treated & i would get a feedback if required; did u ever get this? (what was the response interval whn u mailed CDHC) dnt knw if it's because i mailed arnd 1pm (guess they close early on fridays). My app is 4mths dis wk as well, I wuld be @CDHC 2mr mrn; it seems filling dt inquiry form @ the gate wakes them up 4rm slumber. Kudos to @bryanhumber & @omosanyaolak; u guys are very strong - it is well.

mercylicious: I have news. My sch program co-ordinator replied me and asked if I will be able to make spring which starts May. U guess wat my answer was - YES!

mercylicious: Wat pains me now is dt they just imposed yearly alumi fee. I paid dt fee wen I was leaving, bt d new vc feels he shld be using our money to work. I think d fee is 10k yearly now, so they calc frm d last time u paid. I detest anything dt makes me request anything frm them.

@Mercylicious, make contact with CDHC next week by email, attach the msg from URegina & if u're resident in Lagos go in person - by next week CDHC shuld resume fully (i'm not bothering myself on tracking till next week, i need to enjoy this year's 1st week without stress). I mailed my sch on the 24th abt CDHC, they wuld resume 2mr so expecting to hear from them. Stay focused.

@all medical awaitees, what's most important is sucess in our application & not when we're going. @mercylicious, wats ur plan?

iluminati: yes VAC will work tomorro and after the Christmas holiday cos they have Nigerian staff alot who will handle and accept applications. CDHC main decision takers has all travelled for the holiday so no serious business till around early Januar but they still have receptionist open to accept more application from VAC till the main ogas come back to process them. So the way things are now, i think those who have not heard from cdhc should be patient till they resume by January cos most of them have their family in canada to spend time with. Those who has not done medicals, get ready to defer your admission cos time no dey again as cdhc habbit is asking for new start date every january base on old thread. For those waiting for TRV, be ready to receive it as ur new year gift.

Guys abeg disregard the above comment, some people just can't sleep well @ night without spreading bad news. First it was trv quota was the reason for 'massive denials', time having proved them wrong they've gone on to CDHC 'On Vacation' from 'a reliable source'. Does it make sense that CDHC would leave all those awaiting trv since mid nov to go on vacation till next year? CDHC's rules are tricky though so all we got to do is wait & encourage each other rmbr amidst all of this @J20 got med call Nov 2nd, 2wks later he got trv without tuition payment, also peeps hv also gotten trv 2wks after fall 2012 start date.
An observation - @idomaboi & lucky don ur posts seem related couple of days now & u guys seem to reference each other's posts a lot...are u guys twins?
