tundeontop:Tolerance in this context simply means, we can't stand you but we haven't had a unanimous decision to throw you out YET. Do we really? Or it's just our innate aversion to injustice. 2. Tinubu never worked with federal or Eastern Nigeria let alone stealing money from Ndi Igbo. Not necessarily, but how about exploiting Igbo businesses in Lagos (for example). Maybe this writer is ignorant of the fact that Igbo businesses have a different (oppressively that is) rule of engagement from other ethnicities. 4. Tinubu didn't meddle in Igbo internal affairs either!Lagos State governorship election comes to mind. Short memory or plain ignorance. 5. Why do we call him thief? What did he steal? Is he seriously asking this now? Anyways, all politicians are thieves so it's not much of a point. What does "putting mouth" even mean 8. Can Yoruba man become an Association or Local Government Chairman in the East? Let us be sincere with ourselves. Yet we enjoy all these privileges here including Assembly Membership!Question is, how many Yoruba men will relocate to the East on their own accord? The ones here were either transferred or are here due to contingency. 10. We are here helping the "slaves" to develop their land. Who then is a slave? We are all slaves in Nigeria. Wake up and smell the beans. I stopped there because this post is dumbing me out. The author is either daft or probably an impostor hiding under a change of name. 6 Likes |
Politics / Re: Buratai Achieving Peace Without Military Fire In Niger Delta by Donelli: 8:09pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
That there have been reduced clashes between soldiers and the locals does not necessarily translate to peace. I don't know of the others but Rivers state, which has always been the major hot zone, is not exactly peaceful. |

Oshigun:Dude, once again you've missed the point. I'm not in doubt of your identity but merely pointing out a trait that is becoming a given. Bottom line is, the country is ignited but you're yet to come to that realization. One can only wish you bliss in your ignorance, but don't think everyone here is dumb. After reading this reply, go back again and read my last post. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Why Has Tinubu Not Condemned Fulani Banditry In The SW? by Donelli: 1:24pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
My experience with Yorubas: When they make a wrong move, they aggressively cover up their regret with propaganda and holding on to a false reality. When that doesn't seem to work, they keep mum, hoping it will go away and we will all forget. Tinubu can decide to use his little foreign influence to fight against the government of the day but... 1. he will lose his legitimacy, bearing in mind that he worked TWICE to bring this failure in government, and 2. due to his lust for power, all is as fair as collateral damage or trade off (if you please). 1 Like |

Oshigun:I bolded some keywords. Anyone who is in tune with reality will see the typical yoruba-ness in this dude. The only consolation I see you giving yourself is in lettering and words. I hope you're aware the herdsmen train has reached SW. Such kind of love. PS: Before you make haste to save face by mentioning SE, I should remind you that we've been suffering oppression from Nigerian combined military forces for years now, so it's no breaking news. We've accepted that we're not welcome here. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Update On Development In Niger Delta Region(braced) by Donelli: 12:14pm On Jun 18, 2019 |
somehow: Amanismone: Do you even know what this means or you just read it somewhere and decided to use it? Inferiority complex in this context, is, trying to DENY your roots just because you fear/abhor the [invalid] feeling of being dominated. Inferiority complex is, making it a point to always spy on what some others are doing and try to prove you're doing better. There are two regions who, sadly, individually fall into each category. If you had said SUPERIORITY COMPLEX, even though also untrue, it would probably have been more applicable. 8 Likes 1 Share |

If those old men and other food-crumbs & leftover seeking career politicians of eastern extraction didn't sell themselves cheap for political patronage, we wouldn't have been in this laughable state. Biafra is coming. God bless Nnamdi Kanu! God bless Chukwuemeka Ojukwu! God bless IPOB!! God bless Biafra, land of the rising sun!!! I stand with Referendum. 1 Like |

samstradam:I got the message the OP passed. He omitted a comma which made the statement somewhat ambiguous, I agree. But that's not enough ground to label someone as mediocre. Your statement above lacks proper construction, but I read for meaning, not to nitpick errors. Should I also think you to be mediocre? The dude would still have pointed out the error without being condescending. 1 Like |

TylerDurden:In Nigeria, one will be naive to assume there's anything not possible to take place. I'm sure whoever that has such ambition is also aware of these points you raised and damn well will put machinery in motion to achieve same. You also did not put into consideration that wide scale rigging can take place. Recall that ALL security apparatus are firmly in the hands of the north, and if they see a good bargain to even support this agenda, the worst that will happen is social media rants and we'll leave it to God to judge. 3 Likes |

Emotionss:The way some of you guys on nairaland reason though. You deride Igbos about nigerian politics yet we're all in the shit together, but I'm sure you guys will be ashamed to accept reality... that's if there's any atom of shame left in you. You should be more concerned about what the present holds for you than a future you're not sure you'll see. Igbos have already seen the worst. You can bet all your organs that no matter what happens going forward, we have the capability to absorb the shock. Can the rest of the South? 14 Likes 2 Shares |
