Osagyefo98:Who determined the nature of cultural relationship, geographic ties and interactions that warranted what areas should/shouldn't be carved out? |
Yyeske: Get it legitimately through your senators and reps...Dead on Arrival. Anybody still suggesting this is either mischievous or being sincerely dumb. Mathematically, which happens to be the most simplistic method of analysing it, it is impossible; how then will it even be practical in our clime with all the complexities and interests/disinterests. ...or just declare your Biafra and make sure you are battle ready for Nigeria, don't repeat same mistake Ojukwu did when he declared without adequate preparation, allies or weapons. Also know the territory you want to fight for so you don't go in to fight and the locals push you out themselves.Reflect on this statement again maybe it will become clear that IPOB is not a bunch of never-do-wells after all. You say Nigeria is illegal, is your Biafra not illegal, how many Igbos and non Igbos have told you that they want an IPOB Biafra or you are trying to impose it on them, they never asked you for a referendum too. You're contradicting yourself sir. In one breath you're suggesting that nobody requested for Biafra, yet insinuating that a means to prove if the request is true or fable is also being forced. Your scam perennial (s)elections conducted by the not so independent NEC, did anyone ask for it? Before you rush to answer, can you present statistics to prove it? Referendum and election are both activities which people use to determine their destiny. Referendum is not treason, neither is it a call for war. If Nigeria believes Biafra is being imposed, the sane thing to do is test the field. Let's stop all the diversionary tactics, tthey're stale. |
Osagyefo98:Quick question: When carving out the states, what criteria were used? It amuses me when people just assume Igboland is made up of only the SE states |
Team A: I have access to classified information so I am not swayed by hearsay and propaganda Team B: I don't accept everything I read online as is, I question the veracity of each case on its merits Team C: I don't really know where/how to verify information so I go with popular opinion Team D: I hate Nnamdi Kanu's guts, I can never support him Team E: IPOB are making us look bad, they must be destroyed You know where you belong. |

kayroc:Not every detail is made available for public consumption. I can almost swear that there was a hidden hand in their offer, it goes beyond access to oil. It is possible their terms would have turned out to be another neocolonialism. |
A peaceful revolution is already on in the East with various attempts to suppress it with both brute force and amateurish blackmail. If there's going to be a violent revolution that will shake the foundation of this country once and for all, it will be in the north...usually taking the form of a pogrom. The west? Not so much. Expect sporadic arson, mob action and riots but it'll be quelled in a short while. I doubt the region can withstand a fraction of the military oppression the East has witnessed. |
Friend of the poor? Ok.. Make everyone poor, be their friend....problem solved. |

This is how xenophobic attacks will build gradually in Lagos. Case in Point A group of people come to a location, set up their businesses and contribute to the local economy... Everyone is happy. Business grows, they make profit and decides to expand... Everyone is still happy. With foresight, they buy land and other real estate... Everyone is falling over themselves to sell. More of these group come into a neighboring location who heard the story of the former set, they quickly go to welcome the new set and are enthusiastic about selling their lands... They buy, everyone is happy again. ... ... On and on it goes.. Let us henceforth, call these people "The Investors". ... Fast-forward years later, some people (henceforth called "The League" ) rise to be in control but sees these group of forward-thinking individuals (The Investors) as potential risks. The League tries to get them to their side, The Investors naturally gravitate because it's good for business; yet not feeling fully in charge, The League wants absolute control. The League demands absolute loyalty to be sworn, this does not go down well with The Investors but they play along to put The League at ease. Sensing they are not making any headway, The League decides on a series of measures to frustrate efforts of The Investors, thus make them leave. Stop the lease/sale of properties to them or if necessary, do so at [what they consider] neck-breaking rates. The Investors do not flinch, instead, more of The Investors are buying. The League decides to tax The Investors heavily, this draws some reaction which impresses The League. The Investors sends delegates to The League to make supplication but are sent back with the message: "If you can't cope, go back to your village". The Investors argue that since they have contributed that much to the local economy they deserve to be treated with some dignity. However, they adjust to the new terms and grow their business. The League, sensing the short win slipping off their fingers, and The Investors not making any attempt to leave, decides to take it a step further: propaganda They don't respect their hosts! They want to take the land from the owners! They claim they now share in the land (No man's land)! They're constituting nuisance! blah blah blah! .... Now we're here, the next step is to forcefully take over the dividends of their business and possibly relocate them to some thick forest hidden from civilization , very soon it might degenerate to pockets of coordinated violence and bloodshed.Let us not start what will make the country burn, if you lot are hoping for military support from the Fulani-controlled Nigerian Army, you might be shocked so use that wisdom you claim to have. Though we're aware that, while the North is prone to terrorism, the west is prone to violence...history tells us this much. As for us Igbos, our oath to mother earth is to grow, multiply and prosper, no amount of oppression will deny us that. Udo diri unu, Ndi-Igbo umu Chukwu! I still stand with Referendum ![]() |
In retrospect, I have considered my many years of interaction in the SW and I see a recurring factor. Yorubas claim Igbos are chestbeaters but they are usually prone to tooting their own tiny horns. To an Igbo man, it's all about trying new things (or old things in new ways/places), blazing the trail and letting the results speak for themselves. The typical Yoruba on the other hand, always wanting to measure d1cks, will struggle to prove he can do thesame...funny thing is, the people you're TRYING to compete with don't even do you the honor of seeing you as worthy competition. We Igbos, knowing our innate capacity among ourselves, consider each other a potential competition, better still, the Asians, Europeans and Americans. If you check closely, it's this need to measure up and not feel left behind in the scheme of things that brings about these weightless attacks on the Igbos. In their lack of better argument, they find reprieve in the belief that an Igbo man will never be president in Nigeria. ![]() |

As long as he is one with vision, ethical & moral values, he will do well. |
They will come and label you IPOB... wait for it. |
MetaPhysical:Congratulations on your statistical feat, though you didn't tell us the aim of this lecture. Next is to show us the breakdown of those figures by ethnicity then tell us how it has made Nigeria less of a sh1thole. Thank you. |

Just as it is rare to discuss world politics without mentioning the US and Israel, a time will come (and is indeed, near) when Biafra will be the major player in Africa in particular, and the world in general. Whether you hate to love them, or you love to hate them, you can't take away the light of God from their midst. Umu Chukwu ![]() PS: Addressing in third person was deliberate. |
