BlueRayDick:You have used your eyes to see the most vile and wicked thoughts that have come out from that head of his and you think such a person get pity for anybody. Bros, you are on your own. You already know his motivation full time for supporting Tinubu. |
Emmynator:One key reason for this is because our democracy just hasn't matured, because if it has, this is where the state house legislators come in. People always forget that the state legislature are the ones who responsible for approving state budgets. A functional state assembly wouldn't let every brand new executive just come in and abandon ongoing projects or allow "white elephant" projects. But every single state assembly in Nigeria are just rubber stamp houses with all members being stooges of the state governors. I believe that with time sha, this would change. But this should never be the basis for appraising godfatherism. Godfatherism is inimical to democracy. Godfatherism leads to state capture and also situations whereby states are run like mafia organizations. We've seen this with Lagos, delta, Enugu, abia and the rest where godfatherism has been bad for the states. |
[quote author=OasisX post=117593318] ![]() [font=serif]....no matter what you built, if you have not built a successor, you have built nothing...". Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu This is why he's difference. This is Reason he's the best man for the job people are really not okay. You do realize that this man is appraising godfatherism, right? Like there is nothing you people will not defend. If this man had said. "You should also build people up" that would make sense. That can mean, investing in human infrastructure or in individuals, like sponsoring peoples education or the likes. But this yellow teeth-stained drug baron is literally saying, "build a successor" , and you're cheering. Who built Obama? Who built Trump? Who built Biden? It's only in Africa you see sheeples cheering godfatherism colored in words. Godfatherism that has enabled him to have "state capture", to build a bridge from the Lagos state Treasury to his babariga. That has made him use tribal politics to thrive in the state by using divide and rule tactics. Shameless urchinses. |
Ibukzy:Haa! oga, Dem no dey do neutral for election matter wey be say person must still win and the person go dey in charge of our country. Neutral no dey for politics oo. The neutrals wey no vote for 2019 dey follow buy bread 2000 naira and bag of rice 45 thousand naira. Students wey do neutral in 2019, na them stay house for almost one year now oo. When it comes to governance, them suppose cancel that word "neutral". |
Itsrm:See me here, waiting for you to include Obi in your list of wonderful men to listen to. ![]() Oga do fast fast come the winning team, we need your hot blood and coconut head for here. PDP is done and dusted. Make we dey look front. If by next week you never declare for Obi, me and you go put leg for one trouser. ![]() |
Emmynator:This is what I don't understand with you guys. It seems to me that because Tinubu and Atiku are zero in your books, then Obi must be 10 over 10. Or else you've not being paying attention to this man, the numerous interviews he grants, the numerous events he attends and speeches granted almost every single day, you can't say he hasn't laid out his plans. Somehow, you all have now set the very highest of standards for him. You are now looking for a God like candidate to rule nigeria. I'm sure even if God came down now, you will still somehow find room for inadequacies. What you don't know is that, in politics, a mindset like this only ends up demarkerting the candidate, that is if you're still saying you're voting for this man and hoping he wins. Sowing seeds of doubt into the minds of those who don't vote, people we're trying to make get engaged in the process. As for your question on security. This is a snippet of his objectives towards securing nigeria. Remember, Tinubu a d Atiku keep hiding from the media. Any time they talk, na so so blunder we dey hear.
|
Ibukzy:Listening to agbado man, one can see how he slurs his speeches. An obvious effect of the Parkinson. But come oo, This one na you come dey use your hand mock the man, you don finally change mind? E go to go well o. Welcome to LP in advance bro. ![]() |
iamoyindamola:First of all, when you say "we" , are you declaring that you are defined voting for Obi? Just for clarity sake, because the people involved in this your post, rinu, Aisha and izzou are all voting Obi. Secondly the anger at the question is palpable. Aisha herself has been present and spoken at 2 labor part events, she's seen the man in person before. rinu has hosted a Twitter space on endsars where Peter Obi himself was present, as a matter of fact the only twitter space he's been on since his candidacy began? These questions have been answered repeatedly. Security and economy are the 2 most talked about issues for Obi. Once you hear him talk, he's most likely talking about these two issues. Thirdly, for God's sake, these 2 people should know better by now the policies and objectives of a candidate they've publicly supported and pushed for. They should know that there are better ways by now to get answers from the man directly. Because the opposition is already using these questions as political tools to negatively taint Obi. So you can't blame the supporters for reacting negatively to those questions. The motive for those questions are suspect. These 2 people were not included in the 1200 list of the PCC perhaps this is their form of protest towards that and people have decoded that. |
Ibukzy: ![]() Guy, that man is just soo full of blunders. ![]() Elrufai don suffer no be small. |
Emmynator:What do you say to this?
|
iamoyindamola:Wait you're an arsenal fan? |
Realtord43 how are you? I sight you. |
See them shamelessly defending the yellow teeth-stained murdering drug baron. . Shameless urchinses. This one donstan is on fire today. Haaa. ![]()
|
Emmynator:I don't know man, I'm trying soo hard to see any logical reason why someone would support this man to be our president, like, the red flags are too fvcking much! And you have people strongly supporting him. It just befuddles the mind, then you now look at the past and profile of the strongest supporters and you see both rabid igbophobia and xenophobia and also see that one common factor among all his supporters here is "tribe". The supporters consistently post ethnic-colored posts. From consistently communicating in Yoruba, to the candidate himself carrying out a tribal based campaign, it's so difficult not to see tribal sentiment in what they're doing.

The trending thread on Twitter. This is for those who think Lagos started and ended with the yellow teeth-stained drug baron.
|
Emmynator:Would you classify the people who said this as reasonable yorubas?? I keep saying this, I know that the Yorubas are naturally the most peace loving and accommodating people. I have lived in Lagos for a long duration of my life, I served in Lagos, I have Yoruba relatives. I have family members on both sides who married yoruba spouses. My favorite dish is a yoruba meal, spinach stew. But in every 12 there must be a Judas. On one hand you have Obasanjo a yoruba man going all out to make sure Obi wins next year, you also have the afeniferi group, a predominant Yoruba sociocultural group, endorsing and marketing obi, but for these people you also have xenophobic monkeys who stay millions of miles away while fostering hatred and division across the internet. So I ask again, are these people who uttered these, "reasonable yorubas"?
|
But are there really people who love this man called Tinubu, are there people who truly support this APC government after what we've seen in the last 8 years?? What will really make matured minds who have seen how dirty his dealings were in his younger age? Like, you are fully aware he was a drug baron in America, you are aware he was a money launderer, you are hearing the rumors that this man might have been a murderer who killed his opponent in Lagos. On what grounds, do you still love such a figure? Even, moving away from his personality defects, let's talk about the fact that we both know this man is infirmed and his body is beginning to fail him, let's talk about his party where he is the co founder and national leader and a party that has failed every single Nigerian who believed in them? My brothers, what really draws you to these people? Do you seriously wish nigeria maintains the track on which she is? Pertinent questions to ask yourself.
|
He's going to be the most handsome president nigeria has ever had. With the prettiest first lady nigeria have ever had. We're finally going to have awesome representation of our country internationally. Peter Obi, Carry me dey go where I know abeg.
|
The man of the moment!! The savior of our democracy! The man who has singlehandedly given and inspired hope in the average masses. From bayelsa to taraba, from Lagos to Jos, from sokoto to Anambra. His name rings loud and true in every single household! Mr man go and write your inaugural address, the election is but a formality for your enthronement. Affliction shall never rise again.
|
God bless their efforts. No number is too small in this movement. All we need is 25% in those states and I'm sure we'll get it. Non tribalistic hausas and the christians who see the danger of the moslem moslem ticket next year. Kwankwaso, atiku and bat can share the rest. |
Ibukzy, oyindamola, gloriousgbola, user09 and other reasonable yorubas. I call on you all to join the winning team. The APC has shown us shege these last 8 years. We cannot reward them. Here we have Peter Obi. A governor that performed well with little resources, corrupt-free, integrity-personified, humble and simple. A man who didn't borrow a dime throughout his stay in power. A man who performed exceptionally well in education and raised the state from a ranking of 28 to number 1. A man who cut the number of out of school children in the state by 60% and made it the lowest in number of out of school children. A man who left behind lots of money for the subsequent governments to build upon. A man who didn't seek further personal aggrandizement. A man who didn't go to retire in senate for free money like others do. I enjoin you all to join this movement that serves as a once in a lifetime opportunity to take our country back from poor leadership and send the ruling class a message that we can't continue to accept failure, we can't continue to accept money politics. It's time for accountable politics. It's time for the average masses to take back power. If Obi fails,(God forbid), I'm sure we will unite again to send him packing. But what we must not do is go back to Egypt.

Our candidate! The man, the myth, the legend!
|
GloriousGbola:How you can't see how stupid this bolded points are is truly funny. ![]() The choice of Atiku has literally set the party of fire till this moment we both talk. It has been one point of acrimony to another. Any news coming from PDP now is just ridiculous and negative. Tinubu's choice for VP has weakened his stance in the north central and some christian community in the north that were formally APC. It has been said numerously that both candidates Atiku and Tinubu made poor choices for their vp, as a matter of fact it's only obi's VP choice that was generally acceptable to all. So trying to compare both is foolishness in the extreme. |
So Obi is expected to have personally vetted 1,300 members of the campaign council? Some of you are just daft. I'm still trying to understand you people's interest in the affairs of labor party. I thought the party is structureless? ![]() Why una dey drink Panadol untop another person headache? The funniest thing is that this is coming from APC supporters who are not even seeing the crisis in their own party, the numerous suspensions of campaign and whatnot. You're blind to the failings of your party that had known nothing but failure in the last 8 years and you're looking at other people. Shameless urchins. ![]() |
BlueRayDick:This doyin matter I just read today weak me honestly. Since this year, this man has been Obi's pillar of support, it's even said that he was the one who gave Obi the final push to leave the PDP and test his popularity outside the big party. They said he's also majorly responsible with intense lobbying for the endorsement of the afeniferi group of Obi which has given Obi a minor percentage of legitimacy in Yorubaland. To learn of his corrupt antecedents was a big blow for me, I guess nigeria would always be nigeria. The solace I take from this is the fact that okupe is not the one on the ballot. It's Peter Obi. Obi is the one with integrity, with humility, simplicity and no evidence of greed or kleptomania in government. He owns his campaign fully. So I expect that that will definitely rub off on the rest. |
Useless propaganda write-up. You should be ashamed of yourself. As expected, this crap would get to the frontpage. |
If this is coming from a north central governor, why would our fellow southern Yoruba leadership (Tinubu's camp) who have seen this first hand still be saying the opposite.
|
BlueRayDick:Common blueray, you didn't need to take the bait about the war? What really concerns 2023 with the war? And whenever you want to talk about the war, try not to forget the losers of that war, the people who had their region completely bombarded, the people who had to start afresh with no property and only 20 pounds, the millions who died and the thousands who lost all their belongings. BUT, we've largely moved on. Why are the Tinubu camp hell bent on using xenophobic and tribalistic talking points to divide Nigerians?? What really concerns the war and what Tinubu's wife said? |
I don't understand the furore from the opposition camp about our campaign list. I thought this party was useless this election? So what's all this crying about? |
Nostradamus1:You are a fool!! Tell me something, why are me and you as individuals talking about the war? Were we alive then??50 years ago. Are we supposed to carry the burden of what our parents did that caused soo much harm to themselves? And is it not this same war where igbos suffered the highest casualties 3 million of it's people dead? So if they've moved on evidenced by their mass migration to all parts of the country, why shouldn't we? Whatever happened in the past should remain there. That's my opinion. Since the war, igbos and yorubas have a special relationship. They have the highest intertribal marriage in Nigeria. I personally have SEVERAL Yoruba relatives. Why you're seeing me point out these numerous points of tribalism is because it's now evident that the Tinubu camp which happens to be the most influential leadership camp in Yoruba land is now hell bent on using tribal instruments this war and because Nigerians (not only igbos) have rejected him soundly, the only way to rally his people behind him is by using divisive tribal rhetorics. |
BlueRayDick:Very good point made there @ the bolded. That's what we call gaslighting. Suddenly, nepotism and godfatherism that should be disdained and condemned is rebranded as "he made men". |
Throwback to when Tinubu's wife denigrated every single Igbo person. These people are hell bent on divisive rhetorics that divide us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHyAhZKmABw |
