So in summary, you have a president, the Grand commander of the armed forces, essentially scared to take on terrorist because of "feelings". So the president does not care about actual lives being lost and taken by the terrorists. But concerned by "feelings" of people. In essence, is that not weak leadership?? Who else to blame for insecurity if not the head of security?? Do any of you believe that if there were actual terrorists groups in America that consistently killed the citizens, the president would care about optics rather than eliminating the groups? Oya dialogue with the group na? You've failed, oya take them out, you've failed. Failure all around. |
Will Netherlands surprise us?? Finally I wish neither Ronaldo nor Messi to win this. I just want both to be equally recognized. |
Yeah, right! Donjazet would spend day and night canvassing for the best candidate to win, garnering supporters here and there and then go to the polling booth and vote BaTiku. ![]() Keep dreaming fellas. |
Omo, the upsets in this world cup has been just astonishing. After Brazil's last match and then seeing their opponents I said Brazil are headed to the final. But the gods had other ideas. Just like they have in mind for the bourdillon man. ![]() |
liveLongNprospa:I don't know why I just burst out laughing reading this post. ![]() The truth ehh, e day pain. ![]() |
And no, out of the millions of vote that will be cast, very few will be because of "personal interest". How many people here know top brass politicians personally? In a high turnout election, those with "personal interest" are subsumed thoroughly. In the US, you can't say it's personal interest, rather, ideological interests. Conservatives will vote anything "r" because they don't want abortion, medicaid, gay marriage or any liberal interest, likewise liberals voting anything "d". Nigeria has no such divide. And I think I need to say this again; the fact that Obi os expected to win more Yorubas than tinubu is expected to win igbos testify to the better candidates quality. If the election was between osinbajo and ikpeazu, I believe the reverse will be the case, osinbajo will expect to get more igbos than ikpeazu will expect to get Yorubas. CANDIDATE QUALITY. |
raumdeuter:Yes the tribal message sent again. You've have personally posted this picture below severally to ridicule Igbo people on the politics section and now you're doing it again, albeit tacitly. Continue oo. Weldone. ![]() |
diggz:And herein lies bare the fact that you lack knowledge about governance and it's impact on your life. So you align with a candidate, you think he's better than the rest and better suited but because of his supporters, you won't vote for him. ![]() Because na him supporters you dey vote for, not the candidate. ![]() It's the supporters that will impact upon your life abi? Herein lies the problem with all you Obi detractors, you just want to cling onto any reason to justify why you wont want to vote as if it's another person you're doing, not yourself and your children. I expect that tomorrow you will come to complain as to how dollar is 2000, or how strike is now one year or how Nigerian airports are substandard or the million and one problems with Nigeria, yet you are still being begged to be part of the solution. Dey do yourself dey go. |
liveLongNprospa:Nna ehh, e tire person oo. Imagine trying to compare obi's fundraising now with that of APC in 2015 where you had establishment politicians in. ![]() |
For fvcks sake, who doesn't know that tinubu and amaechi were the main sponsors of buhari's 2015 bid. Name me a big backer of Obi similar to the mould of those who literally had access to Lagos and rivers state funds, 2 of the richest state in Nigeria's fund? Not to add, various governor's and senators who chipped in. It's Just like trying to compare the public fundraising of both APC and LP as the same thing today. That's a stupid thing to do seeing as everyone knows where the main money is coming from for APC. |
liveLongNprospa:That's what I keep saying. This is as good a political revolution as it gets. It doesn't get better than this. |
Ibime:The massive brain drain going on in this country right now is unprecedented.. APC haff finish the country kpata kpata. Only demons will still be supporting this administration. |
liveLongNprospa:If all the established structure they like to brag about could only bring out 10% of the population to vote, then that structure is useless! Their structure of corruption is about to be overwhelmed. |
liveLongNprospa:Better yet, produce a picture like this of Obi. ![]()
|
Emaprince:Absolutely correct. Obi being atiku's VP means nothing. Because it's not like Obi had to bribe anyone to be selected or use state funds the way okowa is doing right now. Atiku picked Obi, yes? And so what? Did obi have to pay 100 million naira to become the VP? No be atiku see him talent pick am? Are we going to blame Obi for atiku's decision? |
See as him prick dey stand for views on social media ![]() Something that Obi has long since cornered?
|
OasisX:Are you trying to say that tinubu is more popular than Obi on social media? Answer this question direct. Do you believe tinubu is more popular and acceptable than Obi? |
Theflint1:The tiebreaker of this election is definitely the Middle belt. If we're going by tribal analysis. Atiku would have the NEand NW but not the north central. North central is basically a melting point. From the Yorubas in Kwara at the central west to the ebira, igala, tiv, idoma and the other minority christian groups in the central east. The middlebelt decides this election. |
WhoDeyHause:Bro, it's literally a miracle that a credible 3rd force has appeared on the scene. And by credible I mean, a better candidate than the 2 other established party's candidate with an actual chance of winning.. Do you know what it means for a party with just 5k votes to win an election the next cycle? That's a modern miracle mehn!! No Peter obi voter can afford to demotivate others seeing the uphill battle ahead. This is politics where numbers matter and where the game is all about persuasion. There are dedicated places for criticism, within the support group. Not a public platform where you need to woo more people. Publicly bashing Obi is only making his brand toxic just like obidients have been very successful in doing to the APC brand. |
OasisX:You do know that people are tuning in to hear him because it's very rare to even hear the man speak. Don't mistaken the views of this video as support for the man because it was still a subpar performance. |
Theflint1:The 2 are equally important. Turn out and voter education are 2 pillars of a healthy democracy which is why I'm irked hearing an intelligent person douse the importance of going out to vote. Only through politics can change be enacted. Politics is not a game, it's our lives. |
Theflint1:It was very clearly a staged interview. Turns out the host is from a family loyal to the drug baron. Image cleansing as usual.
|
Ibime:Collection of PVC is not a problem. New PVC registrants will be less than those who already have their PVCs since but haven't been voting. When I went for Obi rallies earlier, many people I met were those who already had their voters card since but weren't interested in politics till now. There are 93 million registered voters already, that's about 48 percent of the population. Obi needs just 20 percent of that to win. Easy target! For a country of 200 million. |
BUHARI WON WITH JUST 6% OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION. I REPEAT, BUHARI WON WITH JUST 6% OF THE POPULATION. There are sooooo much untapped voters. Like sooo much. Just that Nigerians don't know the power they wield. They are still mostly politically illiterate.
|
Ibime:Ibime politics is not abcd. Nigerian electorate is very very dynamic. North central middle belt has been a stronghold of APC. From nasarawa, Abuja, Benue, platue. Obi is making huge inroads. While atikus PDP is making huge inroads in northern APC states. As of today, tinubu is only assured of SW. How deep atiku and kwankwanso eats Into the APC votes is unknown. And don't forget what I've always told you. You are a numbers man, you can see that the voting populace of the country has been abysmal. Do you predict that nothing changes. Just 10 percent of Nigerians voted. Buhari won with just 13 million votes in a country of 200 million. Do you know how easy it is for any strong candidate to find 10 million votes out of 200 million. Nigeria's problem is just voting apathy. That can change easily. |
WhoDeyHause:Finally I don't understand what is happening on this thread. Is the new trend now, ohh I lean towards Obi but I would do all I can to destroy his image and dissuade others from voting for him. Bro this is politics! Get real! Politics is all about persuasion. How can you decide to support a person politically then dedicate your time to making his brand toxic?? Nobody has ever said Obi is the perfect human being, what we're saying is that he's the very best of the rest. For a country whose populace suffers from chronic political apathy, an electorate that needs constant motivation to get to the polls, don't you think that making the brand of the person you are going to vote for toxic can deter others from engaging in the Democratic process? Use your head bro. This is politics for Christ sake. |
A40:Nooo, leave them to their delusions. The goal is operation dissObi. The clear and best choice among the 3. They are following people who simply see politics as a part time amusement, a reality show, while far away detached from the reality of Nigerians here. Na body go tell Nigerians las las. |
Again, I repeat, any Nigerian here experiencing the gross effects of the APC maladministration and saying "all are the same" and "nothing will change" have to have their heads checked. Whodeyhause, your house recently got burnt, do you know that in a better working country, this wouldn't be a problem, as you will be immediately sent to a low cost housing while insurance covers your loss? All these will help your mental health and get you up on your feet immediately Nigeria wouldn't turn around in the twinkle of an eye but we have to take that first step in the right direction and that means taking part in the Democratic process. Not taking part in the process means you surrending your fate to more terrible leaders. Do you seriously believe Obi is a bad person, or as much as BaTiku? You've got to make a choice man. Political apathy is not a choice. |
WhoDeyHause:A VP is as good as useless in any administration. He's just there for optics, balance and representation. The fact of the matter is that one of atiku, tinubu and Obi will rule Nigeria. Of the 3, who do you think is the best candidate? |
diggz:Simple question, do you believe that Peter Obi winning with labor party is no different from APC or PDP winning?? Do you believe that? |
WhoDeyHause:Both of us know this is not true. This "all are the same mantra" is such as easy copout. It's cowardice times10. At the end you must be ruled by one of them and you get to live with the consequences of their actions, why don't you simply choose the best among them? You think a presidency is about one man? Who will be more committed to deliver more. Someone in an established party or someone in a brand new party? |
izzou:Common, the pictures are everywhere, even these past week they've been flying about online because of this criticism of him going to churches. I will post some soon. |
