Theflint1:Umm, well, let's just say I'm sure I won't be the first to provoke the trouble. |
izzou:Obi has constantly been going to different churches right from time. As a governor, there were Soo many accusations of him being too pro-catholic so he began branching out to different churches. It's not today he started. |
liveLongNprospa:Clearly you haven't been following. How many times have I sued for peace personally? Even before the last problem I had, who was the person sueing for peace? I'm not the problem Oga. ![]() |
A reminder to my darling obidients to please contribute their widowsmite to the movement. In the just concluded midterm elections, money was a huge decider for soo many seats. The Obi campaign movement needs funds to run the campaign. Just do the littlest you can do. God Bless.

Segedinho:I was just shaking my head reading diggs post, how can you be ignorant about a subject and be soo unyielding to learn? It's a very very common knowledge that there are Igbo groups in delta state. For fvcks sake, the current governor himself has always shouted to anyone that cares that he's Igbo. Infact there are more igbos in delta than there are in rivers. The current south east geopolitical zone which is currently the smallest zone of the 6, was purposely drawn that way for political purposes by the northern military. To divide them and limit their regional influence. For someone to say that delta has no Igbo tribes and stand firm on it is very surprising, I swear. |
Tataffo:I don't even understand diggz point. Is diggz seriously trying to argue that once you step into delta, there is are no Igbo people there?? Like the Onitsha bridge is where the Igbo tribe stops?? Does diggz really believe that a river is what divides the tribe? Or a state boundary drawn for purely political purposes? Anioma is virtually an Igbo name of a place. Same with aniocha. I mean there are literally 2 anioma's and aniocha's. 1 each in both delta and Anambra state. It's a terrible take to say that there are no Igbo tribes in Delta state. It's very fascinating to hear. I mean a sitting governor okowa and VP candidate has always maintained that he's Igbo. Okonjo iweala has always maintained that she's Igbo, the coup plotter major nzeogwu was widely regarded as Igbo despite being born and brought up in Kaduna. I don't get diggz point at all. |
Ibime:I wanted to ask hopefullandlord sef for proof of his claim that the west was responsible for ousting a democratically elected leader. These are all from the stables of Russian propaganda. Ibime abeg gist me, I'm not in tune with the Russian Ukraine war. What is happening? Who seems to have the upper hand? How do you think it ends? Internet is just saturated with propaganda. |
diggz:Wetin you dey talk? Okonjo iweala is from Delta state but identities as Igbo. Don't forget that these "states" are just geopolitical boundaries drawn by the military for cynical purposes. Igbos are certainly not limited to only the 5 eastern states. There are igbos in rivers state from ikwerre to ahoda axis, igbos in calabar, communities that share boundary with abia state, igbos in kogi southern kogi state, communities that share boundary with igala people both in Anambra and ebonyi. And igbos in delta of course. Igbos are the second or third largest tribe in the entire country. The thing is that the Biafra war has created a kind pf negative image to the Igbo brand, so those outside the artificially creates state lines seem ashamed to identify as igbos. But in all, I person think that tribal identities and affiliationsarw entirely useless. I look forward to a Nigeria that speaks only one language, sees no difference between themselves and see themselves primarily as same group of people. It's not only when whites insult Africans we begin to feign togetherness. |
DeadPresidents:I think it's a bit shortsighted to say that India's economic growth is down to it's foreign remittances. And secondly, it's good leadership that knows how to utilize it's own foreign expertise. Something that funny enough only Obi has been talking about amongst all 3 candidates. India has become a capitalist economy also an Asian tech hub powering south east Asia. They've built powerful global conglumerates. India is now a producing nation from a formerly import depending economy. They now make cars, tech, generators and the likes.. Saying that good leadership did not play a role is a very bad take. I agree with you that they also have cultural issues. Hindus and moslems have been at each other's necks for Soo long but the fact that they have grown inspite of these is testament to my point that economic growth can happen inspite of these unlike people saying that Nigeria is too divided to succeed. |
India was one of the poorest countries in the world 20 years ago and whose economy wasn't even in the top 25. India is a country with more than 2,000 different ethnic groups far more than Nigeria's, and even closer to the entire ethnic groups of the entire African continent. Today India has the world's 5th biggest economy and are estimated to get to number 3 with a 10 trillion dollar economy by the end of the decade. What changed? Good leadership!

raumdeuter:I thought it was Michigan that won the bid? |
China, a country of more than 1 billion people were as poor as could be until visionary leaders changed their fortunes. China was extremely poor just 30 years ago. Today they are number 2.
|
hopefulLandlord:I believe that separation in this day and age is completely useless.. An educated populace would care more about good governance than separation. Time cures ignorance. With the advent of internet, it's only a matter of time before more people are literate about functions of government in their own lives and unimportance of religion. |
I repeat, a presidency is more than just one person. There are 2 major reasons people vote. 1. To vote FOR a person, his values or the ideology he represents. 2. To vote AGAINST a person, their values or ideology they represent. Many at times, democracy will not offer you the very perfect candidate but will offer things closer to that. Look at Biden, Biden is a very unispiring candidate but people voted for him because they were voting AGAINST trump and his MAGA ideology. Same thing with Trump and the conservatives. Republicans voted for trump not because he represents their values or character but because they were voting against democrats and trump was best placed to put people with their similar ideology's in powerful places. Today they have conquered the supreme court and the US justice system with Trump confirming the most judges in American history. Most US courts are now filled with conservative judges. Now back to Nigeria, Despite APCs failure in governance, their victory has ensured that Nigeria is not like our next door neighbors like Cameroon and Gambia that has the same party or person's ruling them for 50 years. APC's victory has strengthend Nigeria's democracy. Labor party winning cements it. |
Simple question; if your house is burning, do you just resign to a fate of death or fight for your life? Do you just sit on your chair and wait for death or actually die trying and fighting? All these talks of "nothing will change, stop having hope" is very needless. It would forever beat my mind why someone would prefer to be hopeless, if a situation is bad, wouldn't you love to be proven wrong? Yeah let's pretend that Peter Obi winning with labor party is the same thing with APC winning again. ![]() Lets pretend that a party of 5000 votes getting 15million votes will have no impact whatsoever on our governance spectrum. Voting in a third force gives Nigeria a fighting chance. The presidency is beyond one man. A presidency symbolizes a whole host of things. An APC presidency in 2015 symbolized a growth in Nigerian democracy, something that ensured we were not a one party state and has now paved the way for an even newer force\player. This rhetoric of Nigeria is doomed and no matter what will never be saved is just preposterous. We've seen countries in worst positions that got better. |
Time to drop this again.

[quote author=OasisX post=118998665] ![]() [font=serif]...... Both BAT and Obi were asked same question, check their responses and tell us who actually is prepared for the job. would be worst than buhari.. Just like Buhari, bat has refused to engage other candidates in a debate. bAT has granted just the one interview which as it turns out was carried out by a member of a family very loyal to him in a controlled environment who essentially used a prestigious platform like BBC to launder his image. After Nigerians barely hearing from buhari, do you think bAT is the one who will listen to Nigerians? A mini dictator already? |
OasisX:You call it bullying, others call it the blatant truth. You cannot come say you mean well for Nigeria and still campaign for the same oppressors and not expect backlash, especially from people who you command their followership. A celebrity but definition is made Soo by his\her fans. This is Christmas season, fuel is scarce now, transport fare has tripled, food prices in the market are exorbitant and you campaigning for a failed party and you think people would cheer you on? Keep dreaming. Una go dey collect anywhere una go. You can't just support APC without sounding stupid. That's a saying you keep proving right.
|
I didn't even have to look far. Honestly why are these tinubu supporters usually people obsessed with tribal issues and affairs? I can't wrap my head around it.
|
Nostradamus1:The fact that it was you who recently attacked me here for posting the hateful tribal rhetorics made by dayo is the same person actually saying this now is just laughable.. So you are angry that I was actually pointing out the terrible things someone said but it's okay for you to point out angry comments from Igbo people? Comments that aren't even tribal by nature or half as offensive as some of the things we've seen here. Make una dey fear God oo. ![]() |
|
Abeg no forget to go pick up your PVC. It's our only weapon against bad governance. Forget the naysayers saying Nigeria will never be better. Change begins with you.
|
Mercy Johnson's IG comment section is a fun place to be right now.. You just can't go against the people. The people who made you what you are. No blue check mark can even align with her. If you are a celebrity, it means that you are at the mercy of your fans. You've got to use your head. Nigerians are really tired of these nonsenses. ![]() https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl4NaEtrsS1/comments/ |
Nostradamus1:Do you really want tinubu to replace buhari? Is tinubu really who you support? |
Taguchi:This has to be your first comment on this thread right? |
My work here is truly done. ![]() |
A40:Let them keep dreaming. |
BlueRayDick:No need to have answered it, obi will never step down for anyone. It's just like saying tinubu will step down for Obi. Never gonna happen. |
donstan18:Well they can't! While we can! Obi supporters have the bragging rights when it comes to a relatively clean candidate. A governor who doesn't receive a dime in bogus pensions. The only eastern governor who didn't go to the Senate for further enrichment and embezzlement. Unlike rochas, Theodore orji, Sam egwu, Chris ngige, orji uzor kalu, chimaroke nnamani and the rest. A rich man before politics. A fighter for the Middle class and the aged. No single accusation of corruption unlike the others. So yes, according to Nigerian standards, Obi is practically a saint. I can beat my chest to that. |
donstan18:Talk to me directly, stop going through the corners. ![]() Your point is illogical, Obi has the biggest support of anyone here. His candidacy is too easy too sell. He practically sells himself. One just need to look at the diversified component of his supporters. We have an ijaw obi supporter here, an Edo obi supporter, Yoruba obi supporter, A001 is egbira or Yoruba I can't remember. While the vast majority of tinubu's supporters are people who share his name. I'm sharing statistics nothing else o.. What these show you is that the motivation behind the support for each candidate differs very much. Obi draws in the educated electorate with a desire for good governance in huge numbers. The others that seek to maintain the status quo do that as a result of primordial ethno-religous sentiments. |
Amoto94:It's NEVER gonna happen. Obi will never drop for atiku. Secondly, can you specify the "names" and the people that I have insulted? |
Tataffo:Your head dey there.. ![]() |
