hopefulLandlord:The site couldn't open. Can you summarise? |
Actually make that two. There have been two Igbo governors of Lagos. Fun fact, both of them had actually fought on the Biafra side of the war. Both were appointed by a yoruba military head of state called Obasanjo. Now I understand why Obasanjo's lineage is being threatened. ![]() https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebitu_Ukiwe |
When any bat supporters wants to praise Tinubu for giving igbos and non Yorubas breathing space to run business, remind them that Lagos once had a former Biafra soldier rule Lagos.. Guess who appointed him to be the military administrator of Lagos, another Yoruba man called Obasanjo. ![]() All these are reasons why Lagos has been called no man's land. It has had people from all over the country rule it. From north, south east and west. One of the best leaders of Lagos whose legacy endures, lateef jakande was even from kogi state. That's what a city looks like. From new York to California to Lagos, the ethnic make up of a city is usually very understated.

hopefulLandlord:How?? I can't believe this. |
Greatihex:Wow greatihex, how have you been? It's been Soo long I saw your post, how your side na? |
pocohantas: I will never understand why only one man here is credited with being the owner of Lagos.

Wait a minute, larride I take that back. ![]() Just saw this thread on the front-page now. How prevalent is this in the west?? Is this acceptable to anyone at all? https://www.nairaland.com/7450773/inside-oyo-islamic-torture-house |
larride:Again I say this, the yorubas have to be studied when it comes to this issue of religious tolerance. I don't recall ever hearing of any crises of religious making in the west. Any crises that involves bloodshed in anyway is most likely political in nature. So far do you think that religion will play any factor in Yorubaland in these forthcoming elections? Will some yoruba Christians be pissed about the Moslem-moslem ticket? |
Very nearly 3 there. What's happening with Croatia na? |
BlueRayDick:It was a marginal call and Argentina has been getting these calls throughout the tournament. |
OasisX:Same tricks you guys play always. Snap pictures before the rally gets going and claim attendance was low. |
Omo. Match don end be that. Such a nice run and goal. Mancity scouting on point. |
MorataFC:Sorry bro. Take heart. Losing a relative is really painful. |
Too soft a penalty. Argentina has been getting too many favorable calls this world cup. |
donstan18:The kind haters wey I get sef. ![]() Dumbstan with another obsessive disorder, there is no way he enters this thread without dissing donjazet. it's good to know I live rentfree in your head. the fact that you have to monitor which engagement I have shows how sorry your life is. Get a life dude, more to life than stalking people. |
larride:Wow!! It really has to be said, you guys are really the most liberal of Muslims. I doubt the way you yorubas practice Islam is the same anywhere else in the world. Was there any blowback whatsoever to you guys conversion? |
Croatia are really not fvcking around. Hope they do this. |
Wow!! Obasanjo finally publicly endorses Obi for the presidency. SW will be a tough battleground. APC has never had a stranglehold on the region. I'm still ready to stake with anyone that Obi will win the south. He will have the highest number of the entire southern votes cumulatively put together. |
donstan18:Hmm. Accurately said. Whether he supported jungle justice or not, the fact that he supported killing Deborah on the basis of WhatsApp messages is an indictment on his radicalism. |
larride:Larride, are you Christian or Muslim? Just curious. |
OasisX:Then why don't we hear more from you guys publicly? Do you know that the modern reform of Islam can only be carried out by folks like you? Although I'm a bit skeptical about your liberalism sha, I don't recall you vehemently opposing what happened to Deborah. Please can you clarify your stance on that? |
It's very soothing to see adherents of a religion challenge various sects of their religion and infact reject them totally. Religion simply does not make sense based on it's very contradictory nature and also the fact that it can no longer evolve to meet modern standards. I mean look at oasis plainly confessing that he can't avoid premarital sex or fornication. Unfortunately there are few Muslims in predominantly Muslim countries that can't ever state that in public or afford to have that choice. My question now is why don't we hear more from liberal Muslims in public. How come most of the views espoused here from the Muslims on this board are not publicly heard?? Why don't we see more Muslims publicly challenge their more radical counterparts? Th3 minute that begins to happen, we begin to solve the problem of religious radicalism. |
Treblechamp, click on this guys profile and observe how more than half of his existence here is dedicated to insulting me. ![]() Insults, I've ALWAYS ignored by the way. See a little sample of this. iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola: iamoyindamola:If you really believe that I don't ignore insults here, then you've not been observant enough. wait until I show you how afrodoc has unwarrantedly called me diagnosis patient more than 100 times on this board even when I no send am. ![]() |
TrebleChamp:For you to even type this means you've not really been observant here. There are some people here who are absolutely obsessed with me that I don't even have time for. These 4 monikers define their existence on this thread by how many jabs and insults they can throw my way. ![]() One is iamoyindamola, another is afrodoc, then there are 2 others I wish not to mention. Do you know the funny thing about this damola guy for instance? The last time I spoke to this guy many months ago, it was me showering him with nothing but praises, stating how I actually respect his position on issues, since then this guy has made it a lifelong goal to troll and insult me to the maximum and guess what, I'VE NEVER REPLIED HIS INSULTS. ![]() Infact the more I ignore his insults, the more intense they become but people here are actually blind to that. Once I actually reply him in his own dose now, expect people to come for me. Stating how I never ignore. |
Side shots here and there, yet I'm the one labeled toxic. ![]() |
Amd you are foolish enough to think this what Nigeria still needs. ![]() "Big man" politics which we have played is what brought us here. One where the leaders don't feel answerable to the masses and feel entitled to leadership positions. Who do us this thing? Who swear for us? |
Reminder that only 6 percent of the population voted for Buhari on his path to the presidency. Again, SIX PERCENT OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION. Common my fellow Nigerians, let's get Obi that 10 percent he needs. It's surely very easy to find 20 million people in a sea of 200 million. Get everyone around you to vote. Get them properly motivated. Tell them that politics is the ONLY Avenue for change of our society. Only through politics can Nigeria be revived. Speak the truth to them.

The structure keeps structuring stronger. ![]() The middle belt forum restates their commitment and pledge to the Obi candidacy. As Obasanjo, Adebanjo, others eulogise Nwodo at 70 The Middle Belt Forum (MBF), said, yesterday, that the North Central zone of the country is committed to supporting a president of South East extraction for the purpose of fairness, equity and justice. This is as former President, Olusegun Obasanjo; Leader of Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo; former… https://www.nairaland.com/7476278/middle-belt-restates-support-obi#119091799 Vote wisely!! Vote Peter Obi and Ahmed datti. 2 individuals that care about future of youths and young leaders. 2 People sufficiently invested in education of the masses.

I did not take a shot at anyone as a matter of fact, I cautioned an ally here against going personal or engaging in class warfare. The following responses were BATstards throwing sly shots my way, my first response to only one person, you begin call me out. boss sope oo. ![]() |
OasisX:Oasis, I have said these before. People who are far detached from the realities of Nigerians in Nigeria have little or no stake here. Evidenced by you guys relishing in the doom-fest about Nigeria's future. You guys abroad make no ado about proclaiming time and time again. Nigeria is doomed beyond saving. Well, allow us to prove you wrong. Allow us to have our firm beliefs in the facts that with the right leadership, Nigeria will get better. 10 years ago, Nigerians were buying fuel 65 naira, foreign debts were low, inflation was controlled. Dollar rate was reasonable. Nigeria was not a utopia but it was certainly not as bad as it is now. With zero stake in the elections, why are you determined to kill the hopes of Nigerians? Is that not melancholic and wicked in nature? |
