Do you knlw that there were many people who begged this guy to just stop for a minute, to stop sowing hatred in the minds of people towards others. Maybe it's because I've been consistently posting the exact dame post that has made them lose value, but do you know that for more than 10 years of dayo being here, he practically nicknamed the Igbo tribe cannibals. He was on each and every thread calling igbos cannibals or beasts. Whether the topic warranted or not.

Look at just a highlight of some of these posts and tell me if you still genuinely believe that this individual is a "good person". And when you're seeing these and reading it, always remember that this person claims to be abroad.

As I said before, science is best taught in local languages. Teachers in each tribe (whether containing 100,000 or 10,000 people) should teach STEM in the local language of their people.

There is a big difference between being ashamed of something and not caring one bit about something. Being ashamed assumes that one cares about the thing. Being indifferent means you JUST DON'T CARE!

I do not care about my tribe. The elders in my village are totally meaningless to my life. My father has a chieftaincy title from our hometown and I know that apart from maybe egoism, it is virtually meaningless.

Tribal affiliation has no place in the modern world, you are vastly overstating the importance of tribal culture in the modern world.

Well, you once said English is the best language in the world sha, yet the English don't see Yoruba as the best language in the world.

I know Yoruba is something to be ashamed of for people like you; it's local and backward.

But you do know that the average igala man cares for nothing about Yoruba. Same thing with an ogoni man in rivers, or Ebira in logo or urhobo in Delta. One thing we all do care about though is the English language because it is the agreed upon language that we use to understand ourselves.

You're really making this cultural and tribal thing such a big deal!

And I dare say you're even being myopic and selfish. Because try to think of this, the ogoni tribe is a Kalahari tribe in rivers state are a minority tribe with not up to 200,000 People. There are many other small tribes like these scattered across Nigeria hence us having over 750 different tribes in such a small enclave.

Do you advocate that all these tribes start teaching maths, physics, chemistry in all the different languages? Common man!

German students, Korean students, Chinese students, English students, Polish students, French students, Swedish students, and many others, all of which are taught in their mother tongue, aren't competitive on the global stage abi

I know critical thinking isn't your forte.

I see you left out Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia. Countries who escaped poverty but maintained using English language as their lingua franca. People who still adopted "foreign religions" but are thriving regardless.

I still maintain that clinging onto tribal sentiments is useless. Like entirely useless. I want to think that Africans of all would understand this better. The number one cause of strife and war in Africa is usually tribal differences. We choose to continue to see each other differently. And I think that this teaching of "mother tongue" in schools deepen that.

The use of English language (a common language) in Nigeria has been nothing but a blessing to us. There is no downside to all of us communicating and understanding each other with the same language.
It really doesn't matter if the Yoruba language or the Igbo language or the Hausa language dies off in so far as we progress forward as a people. By progress, I mean economically, socially, technologically and one can argue that our tribal sentiments and differences actually slow down these aforementioned progresses.

You need to leave behind this mentality of African culture superiority or the likes. It is truly a meaningless sentiment to have.

There is an old video of Obi I've been looking for for a long time.

He was addressing a group of people in Igbo language. There he was talking about what motivated him to save money for the state, how he wanted to apply Norway's economic model. One where you budget a little percentage of the state budget to save money for rainy days. Norway used their oil proceeds to invest in global funds and today have one of tye biggest global portfolio investments running into trillions of dollars.
During the COVID pandemic, Norway was able to withdraw 150 billion dollars from their investment portfolio which gave them a much better softer landing than other countries.

That's visionary leadership.

Your points are valid. It's true that Nigeria's problems can't be solved.

No solution to cure man (our politicians especially) of greed.

It can bro. It really can. Don't give into those laying the traps of hopelessness.

If Nigeria has visionary leaders and people who really aim to govern rather than rule, things begin to change. And I'm not just talking about presidency only, I mean all levers of government. If on election Day, Nigerians bind together and elect good people. You begin to see the immediate impact.

And this is not just theory, we've seen these before. Rwanda is showing Africans the way. The middle eastern countries are showing us what visionary leaders can be. Japan and South Korea turned from desolate warzones to 1st class economies. Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia all turned from poor countries to top 10 richest countries in the world.

Nigeria has a spending problem not an earning problem. We've practically wasted almost 1 trillion dollars earned. Get this, one trillion dollars earned since we gained back democracy and we wasted it. Just 10 percent of that money would have been enough to power the entire country and build an extensive freight rail network across the entire country without borrowing a dime. But we wasted it to corruption.

But it can get better! It starts with good leadership which is why this rare opportunity that has come up for us is too enticing to give up, a people-led anti-establishment movement that has the potential to change everything is something we can't give up on. We all have to latch on it and utilise this opportunity properly.

Tinubu's 8 years in Lagos was actually an underperformance, tell his supporters to point you to what Tinubu did while in office and then watch them start claiming fashola and Ambode's credit. Watch them assign projects done by these governors to Tinubu.
Tinubu used Lagos money to fund his political parties. The only bridge he built was the one that connects Lagos' treasury to his babariga which will make him boldly claim that he's richer than a state.

I watched as the Obi campaign kicked off in earnest by late April.
Social media powered the movement entirely. Nigerians were bamboozled as they watched the new political phenomenon grew day by day.
Suddenly they were seeing multiple rallies being coordinated by the masses themselves simultaneously across different cities. All these happening while the major parties had just chosen their flag bearers and many people who had leanings to the old guard yet to define their stance. The Obi campaign had 3 uninterrupted months of building steam and momentum..

But something has happened!!
The Obi campaign has failed terribly to maximize it's opportunities and grow the network.. That early steam they gained is subsiding gradually day by day. Some new Obi converts who were very vocal have become more silent, some have even recanted and gone back to support the old guard.

This is because the old guard has mastered the art of propaganda and information warfare.

The APC right from 2014 had employed a vast array of supporters whose work was to coordinate and strategize on the party's messaging, how to amplify some accounts, how to use create multiple bot accounts whose main aim was to boost likes and visibility to the main accounts. How to attack the opposition effectively.

Many don't know that when oshiomole went on TV and made that now famous mockery, "4 people tweeting in a room". The man was actually projecting what the APC does but very few people took notice. He was actually confessing to what his own party does. Don't forget this was the national chairman of the party.

Many people have know for a long time. Many people knew what the BMC did under the oversight of Adamu Garba.
People are employed to actually coordinate on how they frame their messaging. Because we humans make our choices or choose side on basis of followership and confirmation bias.
By seeing how people are talking or supporting a person, one becomes curious and eventually decides which

Biden's age happens to be his biggest letdown. Many democrats are openly saying they hope Biden doesn't seek re-election because of his age. Also Biden happens to be the oldest president in US history.
