Olowunl01: I disagree, it is down to failure of leadership and accountability. Don't we somehow find funds to feed Aso Rock, Excess Presidential Fleet, National Assembly? How much additional is the funds required to train youth corpers same as military, abi na no be person dey train our military?
I actually think corpers should do 6months military training; then 6months serving either in paramilitary ot teaching service...Or better still extend the whole thing to 2years, 1year being mandatory Military service, 2nd year being optional and full applicable wage paid for 2nd year....
Naija get the money but it is wasted on too many nonsense.
Thanks for this!! Just look at this below. Tell me a better government wouldn't manage our resources better.
izzou: For you to train anybody, you need funds
Funds to procure equipments Funds to establish facilties Funds to hire the appropriate personnel Funds, Funds, Funds....
Where will Nigeria get it?
That is why i said both BAT, Obi and Atiku have no HOW to solve anything. They are just telling you what you want to hear.

Sounds to me like you just want to keep feeding on hopelessness.
You are asking about funds. Nnpc just said they remmited zero money to Nigeria's account, is it that they didn't earn money? Do you know that the world is actually experiencing an oil boom right now?
CORRUPTION IS OUR NUMBER ONE PROBLEM. If there wasn't corruption in Nnpc, or there was a shred of accountability, they will remit the trillions of naira they're supposed to. Obi has also spoken about cutting cost of governance, at least to the fullest extent of his executive powers, that can boost a further 15% to the nation's coffers if executed well, trimming or merging some redundant ministry's and exorbitant executive costs.
But no leave it to izzuo to regale us with daily complaints while looking very hopeless and being useless to practical actions taken to change things.
Here is the current amount used for feeding the presidents family alone, antecedents show that Obi will cut this drastically. His constant rhetorics tells you he understands the importance of cutting exorbitant costs but keep looking for messianic qualities in a candidate.
Seems a very good time to remind people of the difference between candidatures. What they represent and why not voting should never be a choice.
Donjazet2: Choosing a candidate to support to lead you should not be based on just one factor. There are different metrics, indices and factors a candidate should meet up to before being viable for office. Competence (ability to lead), character (relative personal moral standing and behaviour), Physical and health status, impact (legacy, effect and symbolism of candidate's victory).
I will try to very briefly explain those points and in relation to both candidates.
No 1, Impact, what is the legacy, the effect and the symbolism of Obi's candidacy? Let me start with an example, Obama winning in 2008 broke so many racial barriers in American democracy. His candidacy and presidency was highly symbolic in the sense that it healed the scars of America's dark racial past and opened doors that were previously shut to black people in America. How does this relate to Obi. As I've said severally before, an Obi win will be Earth shattering, the effects and implications of Obi winning the presidency next year would send waves across the country and continent. A whole lot of Nigerias will then understand the power they have when they unite against bad leadership and representation. Nigerians just picking a tiny party and making it the ruling party. Politicians become accountable as a result of this. Our democracy and governance improves instantly. It's impact is felt instantly. As for the symbolism and legacy of Obi's supposed win, just like Obama, Obi winning next year's election shows that the nation has healed from the tribal divisions and deep animosity from the past. An Obi presidency symbolises that igbos are no longer looked at suspiciously or marginalized but are embraced as brother's of the nation too.
Now for Tinubu, voting Tinubu simply signals business as usual. A kakistocracy and a plutocracy. It signals a continuation of the present ruling class, this government and its components which will inevitably lead to the same results. Tinubu's candidacy doesn't bear the same symbolism which an Obi candidacy does.
Now number 2. Physical and health status: I don't need to talk too much here. You already know which candidate is younger, healthier, more energetic and capable of bearing the huge physical responsibilities of leading 200 million people. A presidents job entails Constantly travelling, Constantly attending meetings, Inspecting projects and developments across the entire country. Attending emergencies. Alacrity and sharp mental acuity. Need I go on? Between both candidates, who will handle this best? Tell yourself the truth. An 86 year old or a 61 year old.
Number 3, character. I'm sure I also don't need to talk much here. Even you cannot say Tinubu has a better moral standing and better character than Obi. One has never been a defendant in court. That is, he's never had to defend himself for any negative case whatsoever in any court while the other is an international criminal with criminal cases and indictments both home and abroad. Don't forget that Tinubu has faced corruption and embezzlement charges in Nigeria to add to his drug related and money laundering cases abroad. Small detail to note, Tinubu's physical appearance indicates a person who was or is a habitual user of drugs to which his current ailment is also an indicator to.
Competence; this is where I score both fair. This is Tinubu's only selling point. Honestly I do not know much about Tinubus governance seeing as many of us were too young when he was governor and have to rely on his owned media channels to toot his own horns. But what I don't think anyone would say is that he was a failure. But this is exactly the same with Obi. Aside politics, no one would say he was a failure. So it's very fair to say both have competence based on pedigree.
Soo now, I revert back to an earlier statement, you cannot use only one metric to support a candidate. Yes, Tinubu is competent but is he healthy enough, Is he in the right party, surrounded by the right people? What are the effects of a Tinubu presidency. He has failed the character test. He came out to tell us his entitlement to the office. He believes its his right and that is a failure of character and dignity.
As I've stated above with all my reasons Obi side by side with Tinubu is just non debatable. Why?? Go up and read my points again. When you've done that, there's no doubt left that your purpose for strongly advocating for your candidate is based on primordial sentiment which is tribalism
OasisX: ]..... I'm gonna rejoice though, coz that's right thing to do to fix and improving education across the Country.
So why didn't they fix it in the last 8 years?? This current presidential aspirant promised to put an end to all strikes and create students loan, mind you I'm not even talking of Buhari oo, I'm talking of Tinubu. He's the one who made those promises and people listened to him. Were those promises fulfilled?
A good day to remind my fellow patriotic Obidients to add their widowsmite to the campaign. The campaign needs resources to boost our actualization dreams. I know you want to. Just dial your bank ussd code and add this number people. Nothing is too small.
ONLY FOR PATRIOTIC NIGERIANS WITH A DESIRE FOR CHANGE!
izzou: We will have a new government in 2023.
Hopefully, it may be your candidate . Maybe he will scrap corpers from schools and hire qualified teachers
God forbid you. whether na sarcasm abi na joke abeg stop am. No play with people BP.
Meanwhile I want you and itsrm to check this out. What do you think of seun's point here?
Seun on Channels TV
Nigerians must Vote Wisely, don’t vote for someone who can’t articulate his words, don’t vote for someone with questionable character. Vote for a man who’s vision is clear on how to move Nigeria from consumption to Production.pic.twitter.com/GMvZ0BqvXe
ShaqFu: everyone? Well I didn't and I never bothered. From my time here, I've learnt people who brag and show off on social media are suffering from a magnificent amount of low self esteem .
Now my attacks, if you want to call it that, aren't attacks but the gospel truth. Dude is a beggar and a fraudster, but he has the effrontery to start calling out people who have legitimate source of income.
If you were a regular in the ashawo thread, you'd have known that dude and how he was shamed countless times. Still he's still here bragging and claiming to be what he's not. Haba now. LoL.
Itsrm: The street poll I will prefer seeing is one where only Yorubas are interviewed or one in the North involving Hausas alone.
It will give an idea the kind of penetration Obi actually has.
To think I was in Ibadan some months back and it didn't even occur to me. I was busy asking people about Seyi Makinde.
I wish I can go back
These kinds of polls are actually the best out there, you can see it was done on a very busy road in a city where soo many pass through and it was very randomised, you can see some Yoruba people here very clearly saying, I am Yoruba but tribalism will not put food on my table.
What this polls show is that urban areas will swing very heavily for Obi. The educated demography will swing heavily towards Obi.
This is alimosho local government. See as Obi dey dust the identity thief. Tinubu go shock for wetin him go see for Lagos. This will be the state that breaks the camels back.
Meanwhile I'm yet to see a single street poll that has Tinubu in the lead. Every single street poll, na Obi dey win. See as Tinubu supporters sef dey hide face. Them no proud to talk about their man.
See as him finish the identity thief. I really wish he follows through and sues. But wait oo, how can it be that of all the people wey Tinubu see to thief identity na a whole former governor? This man needs to be arrested asap. This better not be just words from Duke, let him follow through.
Tataffo: No wonder the old fool doesn't want good governance...he wants everyone else to waste their youths like he did, wallow in poverty posting kegs of fuel, trenches generator house and London used laptops as achievements
Walahi. Imagine coming online to boast with fuel and laptop. A fool at 40 wanting to be a fool forever.
GloriousGbola: you do come across as the sort of undisciplined animal whose brain is in his dick
The fact that a 40 year old man who decided to be called "gloriusgbola" is the same fool who typed this tells you that irony is lost on certain people.
I am sure if I post a picture of my slippers you will also say it is an achievement.
We know how you bitter frustrated wankers roll
You in particular.
The stalker and cry baby failed cyber bully in chief Like you your gang of thugs like nothing more than a gang rape of a perceived weaker person But this is not your secondary school Or the ghetto you call a hood. So you will get what we your given Bitch-in-chief Now go and steal some more of your parents pictures. CUNT
Tinygbola stop wasting the pages of nairaland to type rubbish.. You've wasted the first 40 years of your life, don't waste the next 40. They say a fool at 40 is a fool forever. Don't be a fool forever.
Tinygbola, showing off fuel gallons as achievement and having the gall to brokeshame people. Foolish man, have some shame.. don't let the rest of your life be a waste like you've wasted the first 40. Old man go come internet dey shout biitch, pussy and other nonsenses. Tueh!!
When will your growth match your age? You no dey shame that you're coming online to banter with youths. Grow the Fvck up.
See olodo oasis wan enter ring. Copy and paste merchant wey no carry anything for head. Enter na make you dobale. You dey shout post this post that, why you never post your own, Abi you dey fear?
The stray bullets wey just dey knack me be like say na me dem dey fight. I dey my dey, trouble still dey find me.
Anyways, it's always said a fool at forty is a fool forever. That a so-called 40 years old man wey don suppose born pikin go come internet name himself "gloriusgbola" already shows you the insecurity he has. A matured grown rich man needs not brag of his wealth. His packaging and actions does speaks for him.
Think of how low one feels of his genitals that a 40 year old person go come dey answer gloriusgbola, untop that come dey brag with of all things, fuel oo.
These agbadorians are as foolish as can ever be. Just like their drug master, common sense them no dey ever get.
Just look at all the BATstards, trying to sidestep buhari out of the failure of the country as if he's not the number one problem. This people can't still reconcile the fact that they are still supporting failures.
So the west publicly beheads or imprisons those who marry multiple wives right??
Polygamy is not recognised by law in the US, that's all. They don't imprison you if you say you have multiple spouses. The law won't just recognise that, that means tax benefits and the likes won't apply.
Spy360: This question is borne out of emotional imbalance.
The correct question should be swear that you do not know of any source of illegitimate wealth of Peter Obi.
He has said that there enough information on PO source of wealth. If he has any other illegitimate source, we don't know. Asking to swear is as if saying that Donj is omniscient, which is false and a petty way of emotional blame.
One thing is clear, you have accepted that Tinubu's wealth is not clean. That's because we all know one or two sources of his I'll gotten wealth.
Na you get time for that one, na propaganda full him brain.

Tataffo: Omo DonJ,you go like rest small, you sef don try....
I will gladly be a blind man without a cause than to donate to a billionaire,Nigeria politicians and bloody opportunists like doyin okupe and Aisha Yesufu...
I see that you left Obis name out, do you not trust in Obi's ability to ensure that all funds generated will be used appropriately? Are you saying you do not trust your candidate to make good use of public funds?
At the end of the day, it's just ONE THOUSAND NAIRA! One thousand naira that will be used to play Obi jingles on Radio for workers in vehicles listening to radio. One thousand naira that will used to buy adverts slot on AIT, channels, arise tv. One thousand paid to campaign staff who go to market places in rented trucks with rented speakers campaigning and raising awareness for Obi.
One thousand naira used for digital advertisements just like you're seeing Tinubu's advert on this very page at the top. One thousand used to set up huge billboards at strategic locations for all road users to see.
Advertisements is about creating awareness and implanting an idea into people's minds unconsciously. That's the aim of advertising. And your one thousand goes a long way.
Donjazet2: In life you're faced with realities and the reality is that Obi does not have the money to fund a national campaign. Labor party does not have the resources to campaign nationwide. Obi does not have any state treasury that others loot from.
Both of us support Obi despite his underdog status because we dare to dream. We dare to dream that a small party will usurp the establishment. The parties that have billions of stolen funds used to fund campaigns. How else do you think the magic will happen?
Ive said it before, the very best way to look at this is with a gambling mind. I'm sure you've played bet before. You staked an amount that you could afford to lose on the hope and premise of getting more benefits than your initial investment.
Here we are being asked to invest in our future with a little disposable income. We already know what the money should be used for but we are a bit apprehensive whether it will be used appropriately, well we can never know that answer for sure but what we do know is that we have a shared interest with the organisers which is; a desire to win. We simply have to take that leap of faith. We have to take that chance and hope for the best.
You knew that there was a chance your money could sink but you still played anyways, and sometimes you must have won, other times you must have lost. This is the exact same scenario.
There is absolutely no way Obi wins if there are no funds to run a campaign. The onus lies on us to trust the candidate we support that he will use the money judiciously.
I mean if we can't trust our own candidate to spend our money well for his own campaign then why the hell are we voting for the candidate in the first place? By voting for him, are we not trusting him to use the nation's wealth judiciously as he's done previously.
The consistency of these blunders is too alarming! Haba! Every single day!
Every single speech made, there must be a prominent blunder made. That is a clear symptom of early onset of dementia caused by Parkinsons. Nigerians better be wise.
StarchAndBanga: No amount of money u contribute is bigger than one's vote..
If u believing in sending Nigerian politicians money, do it and rest..
No dey litter this place with solicitations for donations.. U can create Ur own thread for donation and solicit for the donations there
How will you have such a binary module of thinking? Why do you think voting and contributing can't go hand in hand?? Do you feel it's one or the other situation??
THE FACT IS THIS; Labor party is severely handicapped. If we really want Obi to win, we must realise that money must be spent. Money which will be got from the supporters. Grassroots fundraising is the only right way to fund a campaign. People who sponsor themselves for political offices end up looking favorably towards corruption to recoup their personal investments. Do we really want that culture to continue?? Are you saying Nigerian politicians should continue using state funds or continue being beholden to state oligarchs and oligopolies? If you don't see reason to donate for a cause you believe in then you're actually a blind man without a cause.
OasisX: Why are you avoiding this simple question like ifs fart of a lady suffering of leprosy?
Donjazet2...... answer it nah.
I don't know why you're disturbing me. Obi is the only candidate whose source of wealth is well known. The only candidate who was self established before getting into politics. A banker, a corporate investor, a trader, an inporter\exporter, a real estate mogul. All these before getting into politics.
Now tell us the drug baron's source of wealth and while at it, name his parents for us. Who are Tinubu's parents?
