It's always the woman. Men just don't realize it when it happens. They're fooled into thinking they made the first move.

HealthRe: Hygiene In Nigeria by donjohano(m): 10:45pm On May 20, 2007
And that's not all - consider this. A man has to handle his equipment to urinate. After shaking hands with everybody at the bar, how much bacteria is he transferring down there?
PoliticsRe: 99% Of Nigerians Are Corrupt And Dubious by donjohano(m): 10:08pm On May 20, 2007
It only takes 1% to give the remaining 99% a bad name around the world.

What is our population? 120million? 140million? Even the census was tainted.

At any rate, 1% means at least 1,000,000 corrupt Nigerians - quite enough to be going on with.

watchung - maybe bluenubian and wa-do-mi are attracted to each other - hence the hostility. Watch this space.
Music/RadioRe: Let's Talk Jazz by donjohano(m): 11:35pm On May 19, 2007
Some of the artists you people are calling "Jazz" is actually "easy listening". People like Kenny G - please!
Music/RadioRe: Let's Talk Jazz by donjohano(m): 11:33pm On May 19, 2007
@drionelli - I'm a guitarist in my spare time (acoustic) since I was 13. But listening to Charlie Parker made me go out and buy an alto saxophone in Cambridge Circus, London, at the age of 19. Had a few lessons - realized I wasn't going to be Bird, although I'm not a bad acoustic guitarist.

Charlie Parker affected every instrument - but the guys on this thread have no idea.

Though someone did mention Louis Armstrong - VERY important. HUGELY important - Purely for the work he did int he 20s alone.

OK - modern jazz - Wes Montgomery - heard of him? The supremo of modern jazz guitar. You never heard of him. Don't mean a shit - believe me, George Benson and Earl Klugh heard of him. Ah, forget it.
Music/RadioRe: Let's Talk Jazz by donjohano(m): 10:41pm On May 19, 2007
Any Bebop fans here? Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis (in his first incarnation), etc, ah forget it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fa Cup Final Manchester United Vs Chelsea by donjohano(m): 10:30pm On May 19, 2007
I'm ashamed of the Arsenal fans, such bitterness - if I wasn't a Chelsea fan, I might have considered Arsenal (Tottenham). But fate decreed otherwise - thank God.

Mukina - stop defending Nne - the reason she's full of shit is because of the Arse (nal) in her.

Further to my last post - the point is, its the Nigerian element that screws us. Visit the Nigerian embassy in Northumberland Avenue, near Trafalgar Square, London. You've never seen so many Nigerians in your life - time has passed. So many of us were born, grew up, married, there. The UK/EU passport is a great help - no real problems getting around the world unless you have Nigeria as a starting/destination point and the other end is also dodgy, as in my trip to Turkey via Germany.
TravelRe: Experience With Immigration When Traveling With Our Nigeria Passport by donjohano(m): 10:11pm On May 19, 2007
Don't be downhearted. I used my UK/EU passport from Lagos via either Frankfurt or Munich (I can't remember) to Istanbul. Business trip on behalf of my multinational employers. In Germany, I was stopped, the palm of my hand raked (a kind of comb utensil) which apparently checks for drugs possession. They checked my luggage (they told me they would do this)

I asked why (I'm a lawyer) and gathered that Nigeria to Turkey is a very suspicious route. Meanwhile, my Nigerian passport-holding brethren went straight through, probably because they were either disembarking in Germany or were proceeding to less suspicious destinations than Turkey. This hapened last November. It was the ONLY time I had problems travelling with my UK passport. But it was due to my race, and more importantly, my starting and destination points - Nigeria-Turkey.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fa Cup Final Manchester United Vs Chelsea by donjohano(m): 7:03pm On May 19, 2007
Nnenne - you have a bad memory - we've been arguing about how long I've been a Chelsea fan in another thread- lets face it - all these football threads are the same - Chelsea/Man U/Arsenal.

You didnt believe me then, but believe me now - I'm not a small boy like the rest of you.
