chocolateme: Greetings to anyone reading this, please pardon my grammatical errors as I bare my heart in this write up. We live in a down floor flat in a three storeyed building and as you know how most compounds in Surulere is without space, ours is surrounded by other tall buildings so to get fresh air especially at night is zero possible. The state Government has not been forthcoming with pipe borne water these days despite knowing how important water is to human life, the power supply company are making it harder too, you go to bed at night, you won't sleep well due excess heat, you won't see water to at least bath throughout the night to keep cool till morning. This has been going on in our area in Surulere around Itire/Ishaga. Last night, I thought I was going to die oh God!! We have generator set but the engine is very faulty and very expensive to repair besides, we can't be spending money on fuel on daily basis coupled with the fact that there are other expenses at home to run. Last night, I was awake till 3am dot, I kept fanning myself and sweating profusely, at a point, I felt I was loosing my breath, I stood up, laid down, sat down, I did everything I could to feel OK but to no avail, my hand was aching me too. I slept off for about 12minutes only to suddenly jerk up from bed and feel sweat running down my face and body like a cup of water was poured on me hmm.. The mattress was soaked at different sections and I couldn't lie down on it again. The one that scared me most was that I observed that fluid came up into my mouth from my stomach and I rushed to go and spill it out, dehydration too, I kept drinking water and trying to stay alive. By exactly 3am dot, they brought the light, I wasn't feeling happy because there was no morale for excitement anymore but I finally managed to sleep off, i woke up again as they took it by past 4 again till now. I sleep by 3 or 4 almost every night and I am feeling frustrated. I felt I should share it, I am tired, God please help me, I am always scared once the night approaches on daily basis.. The Government should help the masses with light and water for healthy living. You need to trim down a bit young girl maybe you are too fat |

mikaelangelov: It's not yet an ex relationship but I believe by weekend it will be.
I've been too easy and simple for the bae aswear, and even she herself says that, I girl I've never shouted on before, never cheated on her, she will never say that I've failed getting her whatever she's requested for, a girl that I've fed comfortably since early 2018 till now, just name it, yet bae still got the guts to cheat me countless times, cheated on me with random guys that can't even match my shoes even though they're all older than I am, aborted babies for them and I still care for her, buying her life relief drugs during the recuperating stages thinking it's menstrual related issues, got her a job so she wouldn't be idle, best way she could make me proud is to become a cum-bag to her boss who offers her nothing, just because they all offer her marriage which I don't want to tell her first because I want her to learn a skill this 2019 first, before I'll think about tying the knot with her, my only crime was loving her too much, well next 60 days I'll be moving permanently to Copenhagen so I guess marrying a white chick is the next thing,
infact I know that I've reached my boiling point and enough is enough, Guy you where really a scumbag and mugu number one to her that's why she never loved and valued you...as a man you think with your brain and not with ur dick...i believe u have learnt your lessons, that is if you won't fall mugu again for another olosho |

Romance › Re: My Relationship Of 3 Years May End Because Of Wedding Date. by Donlexino(m): 1:13am On Dec 21, 2018 |
This guy na serious Egbono...guy that babe doesn't love you she's only desperate to get married because of her age and i guess ur mum has already seen that. Trust me you will sure regret it if you dare go ahead to marry that girl she will so ride on you with her family support too. Think man,use your tongue count your teeth. Dogalmighty17: I have dated this girl for three years. We fixed a date for the wedding for late this year. However, events seemingly out of my control necessitated that I shift the wedding to February next year. Initially, she was against the shift but I pleaded with her.
Sometime in August this year, we had a disagreement because I noticed she was being disrespectful towards me. She is hardworking, cooks well and is very business oriented. But her sense of independence makes her struggle with submission to her man. I told her how uncomfortable I was with it and she's promised to make amends. She has but from time to time, her old self comes out.
I was at a loss on what to do that I had to voice out the issue to her family. When they asked her, she told them that since I requested for a shift in wedding date, she became uncomfortable with the relationship. Her family then told her to call off the relationship. I got to know about this decision and I called her and she said she was going to obey the wishes of her family. Her mom also told me that since I keep complaining about her daughters lack of respect, I should leave her daughter alone. It took serious pleading from me before the family accepted the continuing of the relationship. They asked me that since the date I initially agreed for the wedding wasn't going to be convenient for me, when then do I think will be convenient? Since I didn't want to loose my woman, I mentioned February. The desperation on my path was much.
My mom on the other hand wants a wedding in April. She has said February is not convenient for her. All my pleas have fell on deaf ears. She has threatened not to bless the union and has even gone as far as threatening to curse me with her breasts if I wed in February.
My girl has refused to even entertain the thought of shifting the date again. She maintains that it is better that we outrightly call off the wedding, than shift it again. I understand her fears. She feels that I may just be wasting her time. I am not
This is my dilemma. Should I go with my woman who has spent three years of her life with me or do I go with my mom?
I must also mention that my mom was informed of the initial date of the wedding over a year ago. But she foot dragged in her support for months until much later in the year that I now had to take issues into my own hands. |

Babe u smoke weed with that your eyes like that Cindy95: God/Allah bless you dear... the guys are all shouting that the girl is obeying her family forgetting that the man is doing the same. please both of you are practicing sane thing. it's not easy changing wedding dates, it looks embarrassing and childish. it's better you don't fix a date if you guys ain't ready nd before you fix a date, the two families ought to be there to deliberate on it. you are the man, you know your woman and your family better than us, besides we just heard one side of the story. nobody knows what the lady in question is also passing through. so please before we judge, let's put ourselves in the girls shoe. (it's better we don't fix a date rather than change it thrice and it's enough to end everything cos no one knows what will happen in April too) please, I'm not here to judge anyone but this matter should be resolved between the two families... nairaland just might not give you the perfect answer cos we dont know the situation. the best advice you will ever get is the one you actually gave to yourself so please I'll advice you to do it the right way. thanks |

Politics › Ngozi Okonjo Speaks About Nigeria Economy by Donlexino(op): 6:40pm On Oct 14, 2018 |
Former Finance Minister: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Speaks:
I still find it funny that most people
don't know why Nigeria economy
went into recession, they love the
incompetent lies of Lai Mohammed
about the past government ruining
everything. It's also myopic to think
that if Jonathan were to still be in
power, we would be worse off.
The truth about Nigeria's recession
is this; it was caused by the
president's unguided rhetoric and
uncultured body language.
Firstly, there is nothing we are
buying today that we weren't buying
5 years ago, therefore it's not our
purchase that put pressure on Naira
but withdrawal of funds by foreign
investors.
After the election, the president
created instability with his unguided
statements about how everyone is
corrupt and how everyone is going to
jail. The instability made foreign
investors to liquidate their
investment and change their money
to dollars.
In the process of trying to
flee, they were willing to buy dollars
at any price, which lead to high
exchange dollar rate.
Even though some of them were not
ready to run away, but want their
money in dollars to save their
investments from devaluation, the
president gave a bad signal by
banning deposit of foreign currency
into dormiciliary accounts. That was
enough for free market believers to
see the draconian handwriting on
the wall, that was the beginning of
dollar rush.
To make matters worse, the
president came up with another
outrageous policy of rationing dollar
to certain sectors and blocking many
sectors out. That was the nail in the
coffin which facilitated the
emergence of free FALL.
In the end, foreign investors took
over $80B out of the economy within
a short period and everything went
down to free fall.
To those who believe it will be worse
if Jonathan is still there, you are all
wrong. Policy continuity and political
stability will not let billions of
dollars leave our shores within such
tiny time frame. Even though the
government might have income
shortage, the private sector will
weather the storm by their
confidence in the market.
The fear of the unknown created by
PMB is responsible for the economic
downturn not low oil price. Interest
rate in America is currently at 0.5%
while it is 12% in Nigeria. JP Morgan
Chase will not mind borrowing $50
billion from Feds at 0.5 and put in
Nigeria for return of %2000 profit.
Citi bank will do the same, likewise
US Bank Corp. Chase gave Buhari
warning about the repercussions of
his fixing policy before they pulled
out, but his illiterate cyber warriors
and misseducated e-soldiers said
JPMORGAN can go to hell, they no
longer believe in economic metrics
since their messiah is in charge.
Funny enough they are all suffering
today because of the stupid policy,
but they find relief by blaming it on
past administration and Gucci
appetite of average Nigerians.
For your information, if your
president "continues" with his
unguided rhetoric, Naira will go
down to N1000/1 $. But we thank
God, he is no longer talking. |
