Dummy, none of those figures can ever be 0. The point he was making is if we can bring each of those variables to a reduced state as much as possible we can achieve the unrealistic CO2=0

He said so because each of those variables are interdependent. That is why their units are cross-multipliable. In simple terms he is saying if we reduce population, it will affect services which will affect the amount of energy per service we need which will limit the amount of CO2 we release as a consequence.
