The word man used in Genesis 1:26-27 above is the Hebrew word for 'mankind' or 'humankind'

Adam and Eve were not Hebrew, were not Egyptian. They were neither White nor Black and even weren't Semitic.

Before Nigeria was formed we had our identities. Now that there is Nigeria, our identity is Nigeria / our tribes (whether you like it or not). If Nigeria does not work, we take up the identity of whatever we create.
Your ancestors were not christians or moslems, but you probably took on the identity of either of these two religions. Your kids may decide to take on a totally different identity.
