I'm ashamed of these PDP Supporters. I thought they were very sure Buhari can never win any Election in Nigeria here. Why all the fear? When they initially announced that it had been postponed, I bet 99% of the people celebrating on those threads are PDP Supporters. I want them to tell us why they are afraid of Election. I thought they were so sure Jonathan would massively defeat Buhari. I weep for the youths supporting Jonathan blindly. If you are so sure of winning, let's meet at the polls come next Saturday.

I followed someone to collect a PVC card today and even though majority are for buhari,I overheard a few pole jubilating for having collected their PVC but claim not to have intention of voting that day.I preached to d few I cud though on d nid to vote that day.
So d next step is to convince pple that its not enuf to want buhari,also vote that day and one way of achieving this I feel is the organisation and volunteers to make calls or door to for mobilization that day(in each person's area due to movement restriction that day) and assure them of protection of their votes and adequate security (this is an area of concern to some people).

Bros, you're on point. There are so many people with PVCs but do not think of voting come next week. The most important thing Buhari's Supporters should do now is to go for door-to-door mobilisation. There are also some potential Buhari's voters now who have vowed never to come out on the day of election unless they are given some cash to do so. The Campaign group should do the needful before it's too late, though we all know Buhari's victory is very, very sure.

But like I do to my mates, if I discover that most of them would never vote Buhari even if I tell them he did this, he did that, I would give them reasons they shouldn't vote GEJ. By the Grace of God, I've won votes for the People's General and I've made some of the Jonathan's potential voters have a rethink.

What Buhari Supporters on Nairaland should be doing now is now is to go to the grassroot and mobilise people for Buhari. Just like so many people who would like to vote Buhari (not APC), there are so many people (aged) who would like to vote PDP for the NASS Polls. If those people are not enlightened before FeBuhari 14th, they may vote PDP in all polls, ie, House of Reps, Senate and Presidency.

Most of those aged people are illiterates (sorry to say), and if they vote PDP for Senate without maximum enlightenment, they may still vote PDP for Reps and Presidency (not their wish). But because they ain't enlightened before then. Pls, if you're chanced, ensure that you do that.

Tell them to return our N6bn.

“They gave them N6bn; they should return it to the Federal Government coffers. They will tell you that Buhari wants to Islamise Nigeria; tell them we are too educated.
“I am a Catholic, but no Catholic priest has told me that story right now in the Catholic Church because I will ask him how? If any pastor tells you that, tell him to return the money.
“Nobody can Islamise Nigeria; they have commercialised Jesus Christ. They should stop commercialising Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and Saviour. You know what Jesus Christ did in the temple; he chased them away. We shall chase them away on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Reacting, Pastor E A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and a member of the two major Christian organizations in Nigeria, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has released a statement indicating that he was not party to any sum of money allegedly given to Christian pastors as bribe to endorse the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan. Recently the CAN and the PFN are rumoured to have endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term, with reports indicating two of the most respected and honored Pastors in the country, E.A Adeboye, and David Oyedepo lent the incumbent their support.



In a response on Facebook, Pastor Adeboye said, “I read in the Newspaper this morning that one of the serving Governors in Nigeria said that some Pastor(s) in Nigeria collected 6 Billion Naira from Politicans for the purpose of influencing their members to vote a certain candidate in the coming Elections.

“May I humbly request that if there be any Pastor(s) who collected such money, they should quickly return such as quickly as possible before the fire of the Almighty consumes you.”

Speaking to The Herald via telephone, a source in the Presidency said that the allegations made by Governor Amaechi were bold faced lies and that the outgoing Rivers state governor only made the allegation as the handwriting on the wall had become clear since the Christian faithful had pitched their tent with the incumbent to the detriment of their campaigns calculations.

“They thought since they have Osinbajo that they will just capture the votes of Christians hook, line and sinker. However the very recent endorsement of our principal by Christian leaders has shown that Nigerians are not fooled. This is why Amaechi is running from pillar to post conjuring false stories not even worthy for toilet paper, talkless of soft sell magazines”, the source said.

“It’s a shame that a man like Amaechi can descend so low for the sake of political campaign to be manufacturing such falsehood and deceit against the very men whose constant prayers are a major part of the reason our Nationhood continues to persevere. It is a pity he is willing to barter his soul for a Mission Impossible as it were. I pray God will have mercy on him,” the source concluded.

I don't see what's commendable here. If the postponement will douse tensions, why not do it? It's not like you're asked to rig elections or contravene the constitution.

The postponement is not dousing any tension, so no need. The only reason Jonathan and his allies want this Election postponed is that he knows he would lose if it's conducted on the scheduled FeBuhari 14th. The reality on the ground shows that GMB would massively humiliate the Incumbent.

Most of the commentators above me are so hypocritical. So because of these little people y'all are saying, you've concluded that GEJ would win the Election. How is that possible?! Have you checked the number of people with PVC in Edo to the number in Kano? Whether y'all accept it or not, Jonathan has been recording the lowest turnout at his Campaigns. Buhari's Campaign in Kaduna alone triples Jonathan's Campaign in Edo. When I watched the Rally today, I could see empty seats. So don't be carried away by this little crowd.

Even if Jonathan secures all the Votes in the 11 States of SE/SS (which ain't possible), he can't still stand Buhari's Votes in the Northwest let alone the whole Northern States. If we are to go by your sham belief, then it means Buhari would beat Jonathan in all the North Central States because the crowd that welcomed him in all the 6 States overwhelmed that of Jonathan. You guys can keep encouraging yourselves wrongly till it dawns on you come FeBuhari 14th.

After May 29th (when Buhari would have been sworn in), Mbu would be as inconsequential in the NPF as the 'P' in Psychology.
