It's working for some people especially when first mover's advantage is very much needed. But like all tools, you need someone that is very good with it. Knowledge of C#, Android & iOS API are a must. I don't know any of those, but I have been thinking of going the Xamarin route lately too.

Well, if you are in your final year, then I expect you to be a good programmer. If you truly are a decent programmer, then Prolog will be a fine language to use, provided all you are doing is simulating this in software. If you do have an actual Robot and have to do embedded programming, then use whatever you can get to run on the Robot, be it assembly, basic, c, forth, javascript.

If you wish to publish a library. A good documentation and well commented code is just as important as your code base. Without those, you will find that at best case few will use and in most cases, no one will.

Stop, one at a time, unless they are drastically different and you won't confuse them. But still, as an amateur, you should stop and focus on one and only one at a time.

If you can't solve this, then perhaps your problem is not a programming problem, but a probability problem. You must be able to solve the problem on a piece of a paper before a computer. The computer is no substitute for thinking. I know quite a bit as well. If you studied an engineering course related to computers at the university level (computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, etc) you should know more.

Just because someone studied something doesn't mean that they are qualified, I know many people who studied CS and even can program, but I don't consider them programmers. I mean really programmers who have ability to actually program and solve real world problems.

Exactly, laptop will never make you a great programmer. Sure, it might improve productivity, but knowledge will improve productivity far better than any CPU/Memory combo will. Just buy whatever you can afford, learn your tools and craft very well and you will do great things.

Time to buy it from another country, maybe fees to give to someone to buy it if the dealer doesn't travel himself
If the dealer does travel, cover cost of his travel
Every city doesn't have ports, you can buy a car and have to drive/pay for it to be transported to as shipping port
Perhaps cost to fix a few things
Cost to ship it
Cost to clear it from customs
Cost in selling/advertising
Plus profit margin

You can see how such cars can easily double/triple in cost, when the cost of newer cars are so expensive, it stands to be that even used cars can be expensive too.

BTW, I'm not a dealer, and I agree that cars in Nigeria are over priced, but I think there are deals to be hard if you are willing to drive a very much older car. It's not a must to drive a 2006 car, There are 1996's and even 1986s cars out there for sale.

sorry, i can't do that for you. the problem is that you don't have some functions defined. if you know what a function is, and how to define it, then pass value to it, and return value, you should be good. if note, consult your tutorial/books, then after you understand how to do those, you can solve the problem.

I recommend 3 languages, and I will give you my reasons for them.

Python, PHP & Javascript.

Python's interactive nature makes it a joy to learn and to play and experiment with. Python is clean, a friendly language and a great useful language that you can use for many years to come.

PHP - Language of the internet. By learning PHP you can write code that can power web applications giving you the chance to reach a wide audience.

javascript - completes php, you can do alot on the client side these days with javascript, you can use your web browser to run it.

Start out with these. You can become very good in all 3 within a year if you pour yourself into it and practice every day.

As a person who has interest in flying for a hobby. The number one barrier I see towards being a pilot for peeps in Naija is cost. Point blank period. flying is not cheap. So if you can't afford it, give it up. No one will let you fly for free. If you are in Naija, there's Nigerian college of Aviation in Zaire, http://www.ncat.gov.ng/. If you have the money to travel outside the country, you can go to a different state and learn.

You start out with getting your private license,
then night rating
then after that, you work on your VFR/IMC using instruments
then after that you work on multi-engine rating
then commercial pilot rating
then ATP

by the time you are done, you would have spend easily $20-$30k. And a lot of time.

Pilots are not making that much money today, so think wisely about this!

delomos, okay, if you say so. I speak from experience, I was on IRC in 1994. Dalnet and Efnet. I could be found in #asm, #c, #c++, #coders, #linux, etc. and I had @p status in most of them. When we talked about code, we didn't paste code, but spoke in more abstract form. For posting code, it sucked, but hey, try it and tell me how it works. I've been there, done it and forgotten about it. IRC might be great for very experienced coders, I don't see that many on here.
