I was in the library when Karl walked in,interrupting what I was doing,I kept busy on what I was doing as he talked to him,but he called to my attention giving me a box,I opened it,seeing a diamond necklace,I thought it was for someone else,only for him to tell me,it was my,I thought I got slapped in my hears,
"Hmm,kell,I like you"he confessed inconfidently,I was shocked
"Is it wrong falling in love with you?"he asked staring at me,this was the chance I got to express my feelings too,buh he didn't let me,he thought I don't like him,which wasn't true
"No,I love you"I said smiling,I couldn't believe I said that,he was surprised too,he smiled,I noticed I had to go and meet the principal,so I thanked him for the necklace and left.

Chapter 43
Katie made sure she closed the door tightly before gently going to sit down and taking her phone out, she put it on video recorder to record what Mr Stiles had to say. Her heart was beating fast, this man knew what she had been trying to find out for long, how? What did he know? Only one way to find out. "Who is Curtis? And why do you say you know who killed him and why my father was framed?" Katie asked, getting impatient. The man shared the same feeling, he might say he wasn't scared of death but in a way he was, he wanted to rush everything out obviously before he was killed. Well, Katie would never let him die, she would do her best to protect him. "Curtis Jefferson is Veronica or Georgina's late husband whom she killed herself and to get blood out of her hands, decided to frame Henry Laurens and his wife, Regina for it. I was an eye witness and everything happened right before my eyes. This is the main reason Georgina is after my life and wants to kill me because I am the only one left to expose her secrets after killing both Henry and Regina. She had made an attempt on my life already by pushing my car down the cliff with the hope that I would die with her secrets, that was after she kidnapped my wife and pretended to be her. She is a terrible woman Katie and she would stop at nothing to get what she wants." Cameron said. He was forcing himself to speak, determined to let everything out before he either lost his breathing or something else happened. "So Mr Stiles, what and what did you see?" Katie asked him, more for her curiosity than for the sake of the evidence they were making.
"Let me start with the story so you will understand perfectly." He swallowed. "They are three sisters, the story of their lives, only them could tell you, but I know they separated. It was after they separated due to property and all that, I married Vanessa. The three sisters stayed separately for a while, but coincidentally, their husbands knew one another. I, Regina's husband Henry Laurens, and Veronica's husband Curtis Jefferson were business partners and close friends. I wouldn't say much about my being friends with Henry but Curtis was for sure my close friend. We didn't know our wives were sisters until later when Vanessa told me everything about Veronica and how Regina was only their adopted sister. That's how we all were related without our wives settling their differences. Curtis found out about Veronica from my wife and since then, his marriage with Veronica hadn't been the same. Veronica blamed her for that and maybe that was the reason she kidnapped her. Curtis became extremely watchful with Veronica, monitoring her every move so she wouldn't do anything to her sisters for the wealth. Even I kept my distance. Then one day Curtis called me to meet at a bar where his wife couldn't find us, I obliged and went to see him because he said it was extremely important. That was where he told me about what he found out about Veronica. She was planning on getting all the wealth and fortune from Regina and her husband and the only way she could get that was by killing them, she wanted to kill both husband and wife. This scared Curtis a lot that he didn't know what to do. I was also scared because part of the property was in my care also, she might come after mine and my wife's lives, maybe our little kid too, Frederick. Curtis was terrified of his wife and he must have shown it in his behaviour at his house because Veronica found out in no time that he knew something. For Veronica to plan to kill her own sister even if adopted, much more him, Curtis, her husband. This was what scared Curtis that Veronica might be after his life since he knew her secrets, he decided to warn Regina and her husband fast so they could protect themselves and their little baby, you." Cameron smiled wearily, obviously still forcing himself to speak, faintly but determinedly. Katie paid close attention, not taking her eyes away from the man.
"He planned to meet them at a field in the night, he informed me and asked me to pay close attention to Veronica so she wouldn't come after him before he had told them. I was watching her all night. But I think she already knew Curtis was meeting the Laurens, suddenly, she left her house and started driving in the direction, I followed her. I never let her off my sight all night, I followed her till she got to the field. There I saw Curtis walking towards Henry. At the moment I thought it was only Henry that was there, coming to meet Curtis but far behind, I saw Regina waiting too. Guessed Henry had told her to stay behind so he could hear what Curtis had to say. Curtis met with Henry for some minutes, I doubt if he was able to tell him anything. Then I heard a gunshot, it pierced through my ears. I strained to look at who Veronica shot, it was Curtis, her own husband. She had shot her own husband in cold blood. The crazy thing is, she had wanted to shoot Henry so he wouldn't be able to hear anything but Curtis had gotten in the way, I could see the fear in her eyes when she realized she had shot her own husband. She was frightened, I could see her hands shake in disbelieve. Just then, I saw her take a picture of the incident where Henry was trying to help Curtis, I knew right then what she was about to do, she was going to frame Henry, that was when I quickly took pictures of her on the field, holding the gun and sweats of perspiration all over her face. Guess she saw me take them. She looked in my direction and saw me. She got more scared and started walking towards me, that was when I ran to my car. I left the scene but not before I saw Veronica going back there, pretending as if she just arrived, trying to save her husband and shouting at Henry. That was how she framed Henry for everything, something he did not do." Cameron explained. Katie sighed, it was a great relief to know that her parents would never kill and they didn't kill anyone, they were just being blamed for a crime they didn't commit, Georgina did everything and just for wealth? She knew her parents were not like that, she just knew it. They had been murdered and accused innocently. This was all the evidence she needed to send the bitch to jail. Katie proceeded to turn off the recorder but Cameron stopped her. "What's that?" She asked. "I am not through."
He continued. "Told you Veronica saw me, she did and she knew I had evidence against her, she came after me then. She threatened and blackmailed me. It was later she sent assassins to kill Regina and Henry, she was still after the wealth. She killed them and no one had any proof against her, that woman is smart I tell you. It was because of the evidence I had she kidnapped my wife I think, she used her to threaten me to give her the evidence, but I didn't. Someone had to put her to book. It was the same reason she came to live with me and my son and terrorized us, hoping to make me give up even after faking my wife's death. When she saw that I wasn't going to give her anything, she decided to leave, or maybe that was when she decided to kill me. Because when I found out Vanessa was still alive, I went after her and traced where she could possibly be, that was when Veronica used her car to push mine off the cliff during my search. I would have died, but someone came to save me. That's the reason I am handicapped, the accident was ghastly, too ghastly and horrible." Cameron started crying. Katie's heart bumped, she felt sorry for the man. He became disabled while trying to protect the evidence he had against Georgina. She wouldn't allow his sacrifice to be in vain, never, she would avenge him and give him his happy life back even if she won't be able to cure his disability, she would bring both his son and wife back, she promised herself. "Its okay Cameron, we are going to make her pay for all she has done, but we all have to stay strong together, okay?" Katie tried to console. "You won't understand young lady, the terror of falling that high. I was just moving and the next thing, I saw her damn car, she raced towards me and hit my car off." Cameron continued weeping. Well, that was a hit. The security footage must have everything that happened on it can't it? It could also be an evidence and even if it won't be able to see the face of the pusher, it would at least catch the plate number. Katie smiled. They still hadn't viewed the evidence she hacked from the police department, the one they were about to view before the news of Fred's disappearance came to her hearing. That one would back Cameron's confession up and the evidence Cameron had. Oh yeah, she couldn't wait to inform Tony about all of this, they have gathered some evidence and God helped them they would get more. Vanessa's confession would be relevant too after they have saved her which she was sure they would. Georgina was going down! She switched off the recorder and put her phone in her purse, not after sending the recordings to Tony, Frank, her laptop and two other gadgets, she couldn't help loosing an evidence as important as that. She stood up to leave, she needed to get the man safe, she would have to take him out of town for now. If there was nothing Fred would appreciate her for, he would surely be happy she kept his father safe. "Lady, the evidence is buried underground right in front of your father's grave. Please get justice for their death." Cameron said. Tears dropped from Katie's eyes, they started rushing but she quickly cleaned them. She smiled at Cameron. "Thanks, and yes, I will." She left then. She ran to her car crying profusely. She remembered her parents. Oh gosh, she couldn't help but do. Their lives had been cut short. All for a crime they didn't commit. She had been kept an orphan, tormented during her childhood and punished for what she didn't do. She remembered when her mother would always take her out for a walk every morning, how she helped her carry first in all her competitions, how she would leave everything she was doing just to meet her if a pin hurt her. She would always come to wake her up every morning and played with her. They had always been together. And dad, many men would leave the responsibility of the children to their wives but dad never did, he was always there for her when she needed him, he helped her win the dad and daughter competition. They were the best parents, they really were. Katie cried hard while in the car again. She had suffered a lot, it was just too much, too much.
She finally wiped her tears and drove off. She needed to get passports and book their flights. She would need to use another name for both she and Cameron so Georgina wouldn't be able to trace their location. She should better act fast. She parked at her house and rushd inside to meet Tony. She found out he was impatiently waiting for her too. "Woow Katie, bravo. You gat a very good evidence, I already made it into cassettes that there is no way we can lose all, Georgina can't get her hands on all, you did a very good job. WWooooow." Tony said immediately she entered. "We gat a prob Tony, forget about that good job. Cameron's life is in danger." She told him all Cameron said about threatening him and also told him her plans. "Then we had better be fast. I don't trust Georgina." Tony said and offered to drive her to the airport while she booked and changed names online through hacking. They were about going when a knock was heard. Oh gosh, it shouldn't be who she thinks it is, Katie thought before opening the door but it wasn't Georgina, it was the police. What were they doing here? If they were gonna come to her house, why ask her to be the one breaking the news to Cameron? Well, it was to her own benefits. "Hey, going somewhere?" One of the policemen, the one she worked with on the search for Fred asked. "Oh hey Mr Hudson, sure, obviously I am." Katie replied, ignoring the obnoxious looks from the four men that came to invade her house. "Running away maybe?" Hudson asked again. "Excuse me......" Katie was about to take offence before she was interrupted by Hudson. "Miss Katie Laurens, you are under arrest for the disappearance of Mr Frederick Stiles and the death of Mr Cameron Stiles." Katie's heart dropped.

"So the girl will be staying with me,especially considering the fact that she is my mate,unfortunately" Jake said bluntly ,taking a seat next opposite me and my dad,' what does he mean unfortunately!, ' .I was really hurt somehow but I don't know why,its not like I wanted to be his mate either...right?.
My dad balled his hands into fists," she will stay here for a while and that won't be long!,she is my daughter and she belongs with me!... Alpha " he said the last part with a hint of disgust.
There was a tense atmosphere now,I could feel it and Nina was whimpering wanting to disagree with my dad. I was guessing she really liked Jake,which was a bad thing for me.
" What's wrong Nina?'
" we belong with our mate,your dad is making him angry I don't like it" she said . I rolled my eyes.
" Nina our mate so you say...doesn't want us okay,calm down besides he was making out with the blondy remember"
She didn't reply.
There was a loud angry growl coming from Jake,he stood up and marched towards my father who also stood up slowly to face an angry Alpha...I looked at them scared out of my fucken mind!,I could feel the power radiating off the Alpha and it made my wolf whimper even more wanting to submit?.
" She is mine and I keep what's mine hunter,you have done your job well by bringing her to me although it was only a matter of time before I took her for myself" he said ,his voice was very threatening and hell it was scary plus full of authority. I just wanted to sink underground and stay that way forever.
My dad was trying not submit but even he couldn't be strong for long with the amount of power radiating off the Alpha.
"I submit" he said almost silently.
" Next time do not threaten to take away what's mine,I won't take that defiance lightly" Jake said ,then he called out to one of his maids I think.
" show her to her room,I will be up there with you in a minute"
Is he stupid?,he won't let me say goodbye to my father...hell no!.
I walked to my dad who looked as if he was about to rip out someone's heart and I hugged him tightly
"I don't like him,please don't leave or just take me with you" I whispered in his ear ignoring the Alphas deadly glare.
" I will be back for you princess,I promise .I love you"he kissed my forehead
"I love you too dad". He smiled and I walked away tears finally breaking loose and streaming down my eyes,I followed the little blond maid up the stairs.
" I'm sorry you had to leave your dad" she finally said breaking the awkward silence.
I smiled glancing up at her,she was a little bit shorter than me,her hair was short and curly ,I loved the golden blond colour it made her green eyes pop out and her bouncy curls framed her face beautifully. Her skin was a little olive and surprisingly she did not have even one spot on her face!,honestly she was just truely beautiful.

" Nice to meet you Prisca I'm Cathy,I just came here yesterday I'm on punishment for insulting one of the police forces so now I have to help the cleaners in the pack house for a week!" She complained,then stopped at a door and opened it...it led to another hallway with more stairs!this place is huge.
I coughed out a laugh " and why would you insult the police?"
She sighed " because she was being a total bitch,she honestly wanted to arrest me for accidentally spilling juice all over her!,I even
apologized twice .Now here I am doing dirty work without payment"

A week after max decided it was time for him to make a move on Pepper. He dialed her number, after a second she picked “Hi”, she said
“Hey Pepper. How are you doing?” he asked
“Great, how? ……I mean you and Fiona okay now like after the fight?” she asked
“Yeah, been trying to apologize to her, maybe I could use your help,” he said
“I will try my best ‘cos Phoebe would have been the best candidate for that but now she…she’s dead,” Pepper said and burst into tears.
“It’s okay you don’t have to cry…..alright?”
“Yeah, thanks…..Max there’s something I need to tell you, I figure you’re the only person I can tell right now.” She said
“Okay, how ‘bout dinner next tomorrow then you can tell me what’s wrong,” he asked
“That’d be great,” she replied
“Alright then I’ll come pick you 6pm.”
“Okay. Thanks”, she said and cut the call

“Can I get you a drink”, Max asked
“Sure” Pepper replied.
Max returns with a bottle of scotch. Serves them each.
“Did Fiona mention to you she’d be travelling next month to Labasco?”
“Not at all,” Max said…..Labasco, Fiona is going to Labasco to do what? He thought. “Why is she going there?” he asked
“She just said she wanted to tell your father about the fight you guys had and bla bla bla……now to my own problem.” She said
“You know what”, Pepper began.
“What”
“I’m scared”, she chuckled,” my world is unraveling fast. One by one members of my family are dying. I’m certain am being watched “or is she losing her mind” “ lately I’ve heard footsteps when there’s no one around, smelled a man’s perfume, and noticed small personal items missing from the house. I just hope I can uncover it soon before I…….”
“Get killed”, he said.
“What! ....I mean, what do you mean”, “if it’s a joke stop it”
Stands to take her leave, falls instantly.

“What my brother does is a mystery to me “, Phoebe said. “Don’t you think that’s odd? Phoebe chuckled humorlessly. “My whole life is odd? A brother-in-law who. Who what? She couldn’t admit it, couldn’t say the damning words that she was attracted to her husband’s brother.” who….bothers me. And yes I do think it’s all strange. Real strange. I just hope that I can figure it out soon before I go out of my mind.”
“Or before you get killed,” he said solemnly. A chill ran through her blood, “killed?” She repeated.
She had considered the fact that someone might be trying to murder her, but she’d always tossed of the idea, condemned it as her own brand of paranoia. To hear it from someone else made it so much real.
Phoebe sighed and shook her head. “No way”. This is too farfetched. I was in an accident, just last week. Period . There wasn’t anything sinister about it,” she said trying to convince herself. No one was really trying to kill her.



Or were they?
Why would someone want me dead?” she asked.
“Because someone’s afraid of you…..of what you remember…..” .there was a sound which indicated all was not well. He killed her. His muscles tightened. Shit he needed a cigarette.
She’s dead. You sent her black soul straight to hell.
And she fucking deserved it.
“Come on baby, light my fire…..”
Yeah, well, never again. The bitch wasn’t ever going to light anyone’s fire again. First victim gone, two more to go.

Chapter 13 part 2..




I was so lost admiring the house that i didn't even notice we had entered another room and the huge young blond man who had escorted us here was asking us too wait here while he calls the Alpha,now that I was in a room with light I could see how 'hot' this guy was,he was a few feet taller than me but although he wasn't that tall he was huge,like he was 'muscle everywhere'...I'm sure the men here were on some kind of steroids. I sat down on a couch next to my dad,apparently this huge room was called the waiting room.
After waiting for what felt like hours the blond 'hot' cute guy came back " the Alpha will be with you in a minute ", then he walked away.I tied my hair in a high pony in frustration, I mean who does this Alpha person think he is making us wait this long!, " dad I'm really tired ,if this Alpha doesn't come down here like now I'm going to sleep on this couch and I will drool a whole
swimming pool on his precious couch! "i whisper yelled and Daniel actually laughed a little .
I rolled my eyes ,just then a really nice delicious smell filled my nose almost making me lick my lips unconsciously...It was fresh rain,cinnamon and at the same time it smelled like fresh forest leaves(I know its crazy)...damn I have never craved something so badly.
I almost jumped up when something or or someone yelled in my head ' mate!,our mate
omg!!!,' I scrunched up my eyebrows ' oh don't be scared,hi I'm your wolf Nina'. Oh no...' hi Nina'
' Here comes our delicious mate' she said excitedly, well I'm guessing my wolf was already head over heels for our 'unknown' mate.
A guy suddenly walked downstairs ,a young guy and he was talking to a blond girl 'she is so beautiful i thought ,he kissed her passionately before she walked away into another room and for some reason I growled? which caught my dads attention and he just gave me a raised eyebrow.' Nina did you just growl?' I had to confirm, 'our mate kissed that skinny bitch!,yes I growled!'. When the guy faced us I almost fainted , " Jake !" I said out loud but he didn't look surprised at all...he looked amused . 'well the world is a small place, but damn our mate is yummy..hmmm' Nina commented,i blushed furiously at her last comment.She should really reserve some of her comments if we gonna be sharing one mind!
My dad nodded his head to Jake as a greeting " Alpha Jake,good to see you are still well ". Jake gave him smug grin " like wise hunter"."good to see you too princess." Jake said smiling at me .I knew his smile was mocking me but I couldn't help admire his beautiful stormy gray eyes that amazingly were surrounded by a golden thin circle just around his iris .His muscles were so huge I could see them clearly because they looked as if they were about to rip through his tight grey t-shirt(poor shirt) 'don't you just wish you were that
t_shirt,stuck on those sexy abs'once ', again Nina's comment had me blushing furiously I was probably tomato red right now 'Nina stop it...Gosh' .I could feel her grinning proudly at her success at making me blush in front of our mate.
He was so tall,way taller than me_he looked around 6.3f-tall while I was like average 5.4f-tall 'at least i was actually taller than some girls at our school even my former girlfriends who were around 5.1f-tall' .
His hair was pitch black and some of it fell on his forehead ,it was wet... he probably just had a shower,I blushed and looked down....'what is wrong with me!'I'm admiring a stranger...Bleep.my.life.
A loud growl got me out of my thoughts 'that wasn't me ',I looked up and I saw Jake staring at me,walking towards me and he whispered in my ears his eyes darkening, "I wouldn't look at me like that if I was you" he said with a husky voice 'it was so sexy!' Then he he kissed my neck making me gasp.My dad coughed loudly 'exaggerating his cough'. " can we get back to business now?" he said seriously .Oh God did that just happen !

Chapter 42
"You haven't still heard anything from him?..... Oh shii, did you check his phone records to see who he had contacted before his disappearance?....... Are you insane? How could you have ignored such information?...... Okay, its okay, please check now, thanks." Katie hung up and started pacing around again, she hadn't sat down since she heard of the disappearance of Fred, she has searched possible places with Tony who also never relented in his search. Where did he go to? Where did he disappear to? She couldn't help but get worried. "Just calm down Katie, who was that?" Tony, who was facing his laptop, obviously trying his best to get a location at least, asked. "The chief of police, can you believe they haven't checked his phone records since he went missing?" Katie replied questioningly. Katie put a facial search in all the places in Danpa and hoped to find a match soon, it was getting extremely difficult to get him. How could he had disappeared to the extent of them not finding him when she had seen him at the club just before she left for her date with Tony, that was the same day he got missing according to the report of his servants, he hadn't come back home that day and she was guessing she was the last person to see him. He couldn't have travelled because his name wasn't on the list of any of the flights, then where could he have gone to?. Katie informed Tv stations and gave them his pictures promising anyone who would bring him back a reward. He used to visit his father everyday, but he hadn't been there either, the nurses hadn't seen him. Where on earth could he be? "Georgina!! It would be her! Who could do such a thing if not her? She kidnapped him, she must have. Tony do you think Georgina had a hand in this?" Katie asked. "Ain't sure bout that, why would she kidnap him? What exactly would she gain, I can't imagine what she would gain from kidnapping him, lets just continue our search and keep her out of it." Tony replied. "She is the principal searcher in this, when did she start caring about Fred? I don't just understand." She still had her doubts. "Well, to clear your doubts, let's see if she could be involved by checking any possible connection between she and Fred and her whereabouts lately." Tony beckoned to her to join in the search too. "I remember Fred talking to her rudely at the Women Organisation and cancelling all their meetings. Do you think she is paying him back for the insults?" Katie asked Tony who just shrugged, not knowing anything about it. "You were both at the organisation?" Tony asked, somehow with a tone of Jealousy which Katie had no time to notice right then. "He had been invited as the special guest to the organisation and Georgina had been there too, we had some...." She was interrupted by Tony. "That's okay then, let's search for her." They both settled to search when her phone rang continuously, it was an unknown number, she picked.
"Hello..... Who is this?...... You could let one of your agents inform him, why me?... I'm not his fiancee and nothing is between us, don't get me wrong...... Fine fine, I'll go, bye." She hung up to face Tony's questionining look. "The police, they feel its appropriate that Fred's father knew about his disappearance, he has the right to and they want me to be the one that will break the news to him." She explained to him. "Why you? You aren't his family nor are you related to him." Tony said. His mood had changed, she noticed, could he be jealous? Why would he even be when she was his already? The harshness of his voice proved it. "Its what I told them but they wouldn't listen, they said I am the only one that has a little bit of closeness with him and the way he defended me at the organisation did some funny things in the minds of the people, they feel it right for me to tell his father." Katie explained further. "Oh yeah, go, just go." Tony said and pretended to face his computer. Katie smiled. "Tony look, you shouldn't act like this. There is nothing going on between Fred and I, you should know that. There was an attraction between us, I would not deny that, but all of that has ended now, I don't love him anymore Tony can you hear me? I DON'T LOVE HIM ANYMORE! I have you now and you have nothing to worry about. You are the best thing that has happened to me and I want to settle with you. And I promise you that there won't be anything between us again, he had a chance, he lost it, he lost to you, now its your chance, don't ruin it with Jealousy, I am all yours." She told him and for the first time in a long while, tears dropped from her eyes, not only because of the truth in what she said, but she cried for the last time for losing Fred. Tony kissed her tears away. "You are my everything Katie, I don't wanna lose you." He wrapped her in his arms then. He later set her free so she could set to go to the Clinic to see Mr Stiles.
Fifteen minutes later she was done and on her way to the Clinic. She had never seen Fred's father before and none of his family members, maybe that was the reason for her nervousness. She drove into the clinic and parked. She sat patiently in her car for some minutes, thinking how his father would look like and if he would have accepted her if she was still dating Fred, what kind of man he was and the extent of his disability. She later got out and went straight to the administration block to state her mission. She was given pass and was escorted by a nurse to his apartment, she stood firm, raised her chin and walked elegantly behind the nurse. Some old men might be annoying and demanding though Fred's father was still in his fifties or so, she still wanna take her stand. She finally got to a bed and saw a old, weary and thin man lying helplessly on it. Her guards immediately went down. "Mr Stiles, one Lady is here to see you." The nurse announced, Katie could see the excitement in his face when he heard 'a lady'. It was either he had something for ladies or none had come to visit him before. "Damn old woman, I told you to call me by my name, Cameron, Cameron! I'm not old yet and don't let the pretty lady think I am." Cameron said, Katie couldn't help but chuckle, he was just like Fred. The nurse smiled also before she left.
"Young Lady please take a seat." Katie sat down. His condition was heartbreaking, this was what Fred had put up with all those years, making him hate women. Georgina should be hanged for this. "I'm Katie Laurens, a friend of Fred's." She introduced. "Just a Friend? Awwn." Cameron mimicked a sad face, making Katie laugh. "Guess you are the lady Fred was always talking about. Katie Laurens, he always talked about you, every time, and every time he talked about you, I could see the fire in his eyes. You are the woman who has got my son's heart Katie, finally, we meet." Cameron said, maybe he got it all wrong, what was he saying. Fred never even loved her, he deceived his father too? How stupid! "You got it all wrong Mr Stiles, sorry, Cameron. There is nothing between the both of us." She told him but he didn't believe, he sure thinks she was trying to cover up but she didn't care. "Children of nowadays." He chuckled. "That's the main reason I am here, for Fred. I'm sorry to announce to you that your son has gone missing, he disappeared about a week ago. We are trying our best to find him and I promise you that we will find him soon, that's all, please put your trust in us and pray that our search be successful, thanks." Staying with the man made her feel uncomfortable already and before he would say anything else about Fred, she should get going. She stood up to leave. "I knew it, I knew Veronica would do something to harm my son, she should be lucky I can't get on my two feet, I would have plucked her eyes off, that shameless woman." Katie heard Cameron mutter, her eyes went wide open.
"Veronica? Georgina? What makes you think she was the one who did this?" Katie sat down back, getting more curious, he seemed so sure. "Of course she did it, she came here the other time, threatening me. She found out I am alive and she came to threaten not to make me live, so I wouldn't be able to expose her bad deeds. She said she would kill me and let Frederick my kid pay for my sins, this is how she intends to pay me back." Cameron told her. Georgina wants to kill him? His life was in danger then. She needed to protect him, she would have to take him far away from her, she would have to do that. "Your life must be in danger then, you need protection, how come you never told anyone, I will call for attention right away." Katie said and tried standing up but was held back by his hand which was too strong for a man in his state. "You never asked which deeds I am talking about." Well that wasn't all that mattered, his life was more important. "When you are safe, you can tell me, I will be back." She said and stood up. "You can't trust her young Lady, she can strike at anytime, I am not scared of death, I just need to tell you something and I want you to record it, please." Cameron pleaded. The Bleep, he didn't care about his own life? She didn't trust Georgina too and that's the reason she intended on taking him to a safe place, she would inform the nurses and alert Tony, he would be protected before she got back and then she would arrange for their flight immediately. "I'm sorry, your life is more important." She told him. "Stop being stubborn, don't you want to hear what happened to Curtis Jefferson and how Georgina framed your father for it?" Katie stopped dead in her tracks, what the Bleep!!!

Meeting the physics teacher in class,we went to our seat respectively,I noticed Kell wasn't in class,even after when class was over,she didn't show up,I went out looking for her

"What?"I was surprised,for the fact she said so,probably she must have been crushing on me,I smiled at her,then she stood up
"I have to go meet the principal"she said

CHAPTER 9 PT 1

It was Saturday and I was so grateful it was. At least I would be alone to clear my head without anyone, especially the guys, pestering me about what happened yesterday.
I sighed, yesterday. I hope Aiden wasn't apprehended for attempted murder because that guy was badly broken, now the guy would think twice before taking advantage of any vulnerable girl out there. What a slimy pig. He deserved all those punches from Aiden.
I walked to my mirror, staring at my reflection. The faint scars from the other night totally faded and all the telltale signs were gone. No one would even notice, only if I told them myself. Which was a huge relief.
After I was done with my bath, I walked down stairs, slapping my flip-flops against the floor. I paused at my Mum's door and opened it, slightly peeking inside to see my Mum's sleeping figure. She came in late last night, I heard her walk in my room but I pretended I was asleep. I was a light sleeper. I didn't want her to see me in that awful state, I was scared of her response if she did.
My Mum would go crazy that's for sure and never leave me alone for a bit. She would treat me like a caveman, never letting me leave the house. Maybe I would be homeschooled. I cringed at the thought.
I went to the fridge to get out a cereal pack and ate breakfast. I wanted something light and that was more than enough. I went back to my room, searching for my phone and I remembered it was in Flora's clutch and I left it in Harry's car when we arrived at the party.
I sighed sitting on my bed and glanced at my laptop staring back at me. It's been so long since I last spoke to my best friend, Trina. So I sat on my study chair and faced my laptop. I opened Skype and received a video call from Trina, I accepted the call and almost jumped out of my chair. Trina's face popped out on the screen, she shoved her face in the camera, applying lipstick.
"Trina, what the hell!" I exclaimed, touching my chest. She didn't reply but instead placed the lipstick on her dresser, she leaned back in her seat then glared at me, folding her arms.
"I take it you're angry" I sighed.
"I called you twenty five freaking times yesterday and texted you continuously Tammy, what's wrong with you, huh?" She snarled, glowering at me.
I didn't say anything, giving her time to finish her rants.
"I was worried sick about you, but see what I got" she continued.
"I got invited to a party okay?..and I kinda left my phone in Harry's car" I whispered.
"If you aren't going to say any- wait. What?" She gasped covering her mouth with her hands.
Such a drama queen.
"You did what?" She asked.
"You heard me Trina"
Trina and I have been best friends since we were eight. She knew me in and out, I never attended parties even when she tried to persuade me to. It wasn't something I would ever consider. But I just don't understand why I actually went to Ralph's. Knowing Trina, she would definitely bombard me with questions.
"Ohh" was all she said, then she relaxed into her chair.

chapter 37

First the colours, then the people. That's how I see things. Or at least, how I try to.
The rays of light coming from the sun seemed to disrupt my vision as I let my eyes steady itself around the room. My head pounded like drums as a result of over thinking from last night. I find no peace in my sleep as long as this issue is still unsolved. Thank heavens Push got him. All I have to do is get the truth behind this mess even if it means torturing him till he begs for mercy.
After fifteen minutes of planning things ahead, I finally got off bed to shower and get ready for the day.
" Don't leave the house alone babe" I instructed for the forth time while eating breakfast with Gabby as the kids were still fast asleep, Quinn and Edwin, let's just say...they're better indoors.
"I got it! Jesus..you're gonna deafen me with it already" she crooned as she chewed on her toast with legs crossed and attention all drawn to the program that played on the television.
"Okay. Oh and I might be a little late today, but I'll always call you" I walked over to plant a kiss on her forehead before leaving.
"Okay. Stay safe! I love you!" She yelled in reply.

The streets of the city yearned for more light, generosity and care. It seems that probably civilization has done 67% harm than good. I remember as a kid, my parents never gave me the opportunity to go wherever I insisted whenever I wanted. Those days, culture and discipline was still intact, unlike now. Silly ass world.
I kept my gaze on the road but paid attention to everything I saw. This is a part of my morning routine.
Observation.
Lots of cruel things happening and no one seems to give a Bleep. I don't even know why I had to buy my way into the company. Lord knows, working in the FBI agency would've been better. Considering the fact that, I'm good with weapons.
"Good morning, Sir" Rosie interrupted my thoughts as I headed for my office.
"Morning Rosie, how do you do?" I replied.
"Perfect. Uh Sir.. A file came in for you" she said, handing a brown envelope to me.
"Quite thick.. Who dropped it off?" I inquired as I placed it in my brief case.
"Honestly sir, I asked for the man's name but he just hastened away. I would have ran but gee... That might have gone awkward." She laughed nervously.
"Okay. Thank you" I turned to leave but she called me back.
"Yes?"
"The board meeting we were supposed to have. It's in fifteen minutes" she smiled.
I don't know what's her deal but ever since Gabby quit working here, she has taken the job of my secretary, my engineer, my clerk and even hers too. All just to get my attention.
Such a funny lady if you ask me. I love my Baby and she is immeasurable.
I smiled at my thoughts and finally responded. "Yes. Thank you"
After the board meeting, I informed my secretary that I would be gone till tomorrow and all appointments should be rescheduled.
I got back to my office to find that file still laying on my desk. I decided to satisfy my curiosity.
Indeed, it was thick like it was stuffed with cash.
I felt all jolly inside me but when I opened it up, my bubbles were busted in seconds.
"CAREFUL HOW DEEP YOU BITE."
Those were the only words written in multiple papers that made the file seem thick! I couldn't believe the joke. My stupid self thought it was money. Whoever did this is either childish or a psychotic being! That's it. I'm digging the truth out Travis now. It's pointless wasting time.
I searched my drawer for a key but was interrupted when my phone rang.
"Babe!!" Gabby voiced out.
"My life, how are you?" I asked still searching for that very key.
"Shitty as hell" she muttered.
I laughed as it seemed to be true."Truth be told. That's my life in a sentence"
"I was waiting for your call you goat! Edwin locked us in and Quinn has been keeping me company but we're both bored to death. My brothers won't stop running round the place. I'm going crazy babe!" She nagged.
"I'm so sorry love and don't you worry, when I get back, I'll ease you up. Just try to hang on. Okay?" I assured.
"Ease me...how" I could tell by now she was smirking her way to heaven already.
"You're such a dirty minded troll!" I cursed and felt relieved when I finally found the key.
"Fine yeah. I concur. This troll will call you back later. She has got other trolly things to do. I love you" she reminded.
"I adore you"
"Oh..you.. Bye!" She dropped the call.
I looked for Push's contact and dialed.
"Yeah, it's me" I said.
"Want him now?" He asked.
"Eh.. I couldn't wait. I'll stop at Tommy Hilfiger's boutique to get something. My car boot will be left open. Before I get out, I want him kept there. Try not to get caught. See you later" I instructed.
"Alright man. Good luck" he cut the dial.
Something tells me this is going to be fun.
I let out a chuckle as I drove away. This is one thing I miss about my past. Kicking butts! But there are consequences. Hell, there is always a consequence to every action.
I just pray this one doesn't turn against me.

While I purchased suits in the boutique , I had my eyes set on my car for Push's men to show up. And when they did, I waited for them to go so I could get back in the car and drive us to The torture room.
The torture room isn't in my house of course. When I moved in here, I still had that gangsta spirit in me for a while, so I bought an abandoned house where I could do justice to the bad people. I equipped the place with ammunition and health equipments. You never know who would be after you or what may befall months to come. Past enemies. Unsettled business deals, whatever...so it's better to save for the rainy day.
I never thought I would make use of the house until recently when things started to turn the way they are now.
Once we arrived at the house, I opened the boot up to see Travis all passed out.
"Oh come on, I haven't even started yet" I slurred under my breath as I searched my car for a bottled water.
I drank a little from it before I poured it all on his face and slapped his cheek to bring him back to reality.
"Hello, I'm Luke. Not so pleased to meet you"
