Religion / Re: Where Are The Dead Before Rapture? by dontalk: 6:17pm On Jul 23, 2017
Lk 16:19-31 will give you a clue,op. According to the content, the righteous goes to Abraham's bosom which some regard as paradise whereas the unrighteous goes to Hades, a place of torment. However, that's Not their final destination, hence one of the essence of the rapture. The rapture will bring about resurrection of those saints with glorious bodies just like the body of Christ after resurrection. Note that resurrection will be I'm two folds (John 5:28-29). Whether as a believer or not, resurrection will take place but at different times (Rev 20:11-15) during which each will receive a body that can never die. Now some will be in heaven while some in hell(the second death) forever and ever John 14:1-6, the reason for us to prepare for rapture. There are a lot of Scriptures to that effect. ---My take. God bless!

Car Talk / Re: My Experience Along Benin- Ore Road by dontalk: 5:43pm On Sep 10, 2014
Op, I had similar experience within that same area sometime ago while embarking on a trip, though I didn't give in. They were with their moving Towing vehicle ,shouting at the top of their voice and pointing at my rear tyres. Initially, I slowed down a bit, but thank God that my cousin I was travelling with cautioned me not to stop. And you know what, I began firing my engine like an aeroplane that is about to take off. Interstate travellers within such axis should be aware.

It makes a lot my dear, especially to families with kids. There will be considerable drop in the spread of this disease. Just imagine the spread of conjuctivities "Appollo" among school children, for instance.

Where all isrealis living in Poland and Austria? Dontjews have a homeland? Was their homeland empty and all of them moved to germany?
To me, its like if KKK were killing naija peeps in the USA and some of them escape, does that mean they have no place to go? Does that mean they have no country where their fathers are from? Where they can be helped to resettle and start life afresh even if they were not born there.
That is one thing I dont get. Couldnt the jews have gone back to their ancestral land? Abi dem no get land at all at all ni? Where were the rest of the jews who were in in germany? Or Europe ?

Exactly on point. I wonder where the supposed 20% of the 'original' jews are now living on the earth.

..but your statements indirectly suggest that if all others can't be brought to book at the same time, then the single one caught should be given some slack

So be it. As this post is a mere allegation, it's just a smear campaign, my conclusion . War against corruption should be holistic.

A simple question..
If it is not possible to excavate & furnish us with accounts of political & non-political office holders since 2008 as you suggest in your post, are you suggesting that the minister should therefore be TOLERATED and FORGIVEN and totally left of the hook (even if he's actually guilty)?

If only you can convict him then you can nail him.

No. You rather prove from the post that he was convicted or found guilty.

My dear, that Nigerians may have started watching 'The History Channel' may be a good thing overall. Even you, will benefit in the long run. Yes, practically everyone carries a dirt bag around but to constantly ignore the stench is.....not human.

Though I detest corruption in the system, I will not support selective indictment just to make a point, perhaps for selfish goals. My question now is :Was he convicted eventually or not?

N36m fraud hits Ebonyi University Teaching Hospital, CMD sacked
The Ebonyi State government has uncovered fraud to the tune of N36 million at the state University Teaching Hospital, causing the State Government to sack the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu.

The Nation gathered that the fraud was padded up in the allowances and arrears to be paid to resident doctors, when government demanded for vouchers to be prepared for the payment of resident doctors’ accumulated allowances and arrears.

Sources revealed that there was additional N36 million naira to the total sum of N200 million, which was the actual amount that was supposed to be the accumulated wage bill causing the state government to suspect that the hospital management did not provide the actual figure for the payment of the allowances and arrears.

In its efforts to carryout investigation into the matter, the State Government decided to relieve the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu, of his position for what source described as "genuine investigation of the fraud."

This development, a source said, led to the indefinite industrial action embarked upon by the resident doctors in the state teaching hospital.

A new Chief Medical Director has been appointed. He is Dr. Ekuma Aja, a renowned consultant surgeon and retired rear admiral of the Nigeria Navy.

Hospital sources noted that the new CMD faced a herculian task in his new duty as a lot of needless actions were taken by the CMD in terms of victimization of some medical personnel on tribal grounds.

Reacting to the matter, a public analyst in the state, Mr. George Nwankwo, called on the State Government to establish a general hospital in Abakaliki metropolis, stressing that the absence of a general hospital has made lifre difficult for the people.

What a smear propaganda, Nigerians ? Only Prof Chukwu since 2008? Simply because he can't accede to 100% demand from NBA? Op, as a good historian, kindly also excavate & furnish us with accounts of political & non-political office holders since 2008 so we can compare them side by side.

Health / Re: Doctors Strike......reps Threaten Warrant Of Arrest Against Health Minister. by dontalk: 9:45am On Jul 18, 2014
DanNafada: My little contribution as a doctor who has worked in a teaching hospital in Naija and now working in the NHS:

1. It is an absolute shame for any doctor to go on total strike, for whatever reason. There is just no justification for causing so much suffering and death in a profession that is considered to be as noble as Medicine.
2. The Chief Executive of every major health organization or hospital in most of the West is NOT a doctor. In the NHS for example, there is a Medical Director and others below him who are doctors but the head honcho is the Chief Executive, who is usually not a doctor.
3. There are Nurse Consultants in the NHS but they are mainly based in tertiary academic units and hardly involved in daily clinical care.
4. The first and only time I remember the BMA agreeing to a Doctor's strike in England, emergency and other essential services were not affected. Hardly anybody noticed there was a strike going on and most of this was because doctors voluntarily decided it would have been unethical, even if the reason for considering the strike was justified.

Nigerians have enough on their hands as it is. That a group of very educated and essential professionals cannot see why it is necessary to get back to work simply for the sake of the common man is extremely sad.

Truth is bitter. Thank you for this, and shame to the hypocrites.

Whether the house, that lacks morality, issues any warrant of arrest or not, that amounts to futility. Who will carry out the arrest? Is it not the Executive arm? And why are people so jealous of someone they feel is doing better than them irrespective of tribe? Has the woman narrated her own side of the story? Nigerians, remove sentiments and tribalism so that we can move forward!

The entire system(the Executive ,Legislature and Judiciary) needs to be sanitized, and that can only happen through Revolution either by the Military or by the civilians. If not ,we will continue to talk for nothing.

Religion / Re: Children Paying Tithes; IS THIS RIGHT? by dontalk: 10:40am On Nov 08, 2012
It is not a sin if a child pays tithe or not. They cannot fend for themselves at the early stages of life. However, it is equally good if one can encourage them to do so. If a father pays his tithe and he is the only one who provides for the family, any income from the father to any member of the family has been covered by the paid tithe. That's my view, you may have your own opinion anyway.
Religion / Re: Praying For Your Enemies To Die, Is It Right Or Wrong? by dontalk: 8:17pm On Aug 26, 2012
But who is the enemy? If satan then we Must FIGHT him even though we cannot destroy him but God can. We need refer to 2Corinth 10:3-5(NLT), may be that scripture will give us insight. There is always a spirit at work in the sons of disobedience. May God give understanding!
Religion / Re: Advice For Paying Tithe Needed Urgently! by dontalk: 5:59pm On Mar 25, 2012
If you're really keen on this, you must separate TITHE from giving to orphanages. Obey God first,& don't try to be good in your own eyes. King Saul disobeyed God ,trying to be good to Agag. So,give your Tithe to God not minding whether there are thieves in the church. HE knows how to handle them. Moreover,Jesus said,"you always have the poor with you"

Religion / Re: Stop It! No One Spoke In Unknown Tongues In The Bible! by dontalk: 11:24am On Feb 23, 2012
Speaking in tongues is not a must for every christian but Paul(1 Corinth14) wished that ALL should speak in tongues. Out of the diverse kinds of tongue ,we have the known and the unknown tongues. A believer can speak in a known tongue,ie a language he cannot understand but which is spoken in the world--- I 've had a testimony of an old uneducated woman believer who spoke in 'pure' English in a congregation thereby startling the audience, after which an invited unbelieving  university professor in the meeting accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Then you have the 'Unknown' tongues which you and any other human being on earth CANNOT understand ,though God ,sometimes can interpret the meaning through another human entity. This is the language that only God understands, which we are all encouraged to speak. And you don't have control over it.  I REST MY CASE!

God bless!
Religion / Re: Have You Ever Seen An Angel Before? by dontalk: 5:17pm On Feb 02, 2012
I had very similar experience about 18 years ago with THE LIGHT(JESUS). To my own understanding from the Bible, that light you saw must be JESUS  and not an angel. Recall how such extraordinary brilliant light fell on Paul(formerly Saul ) on his way to Damascus. I think JESUS needs you. Don't hesitate to surrender to Him forthwith. Remember it is a privilege.
