So one single kidnap of an individual, Afenifere started threatening secession I no fit shout! So what would Igbo's do? A people that faced extinction. A people that have been a target of massacre which preceded independent NIGERIA. I am talking as far back as 1945 in Jos and 1953 in Kano, over an incident that does not even concern us at the legislative house. The climax of it is just because some igbo army officers in collabo with their yoruba allies, sat and carried out a coup, innocent Igbos were massacred for that, EFULEFUS inclusive. Nowadays when the history of the igbo killings is being told, mischievous people start from 1966. The man in the picture had to kill himself in front of the UN building while protesting igbo killing. Someone had to name his child Biafra Wong also in protest. The war is over but Igbos are still targets of massacre across the country. Some examples v Jos 1945 v Kano genocide 1953 v 1966 pogroms- over 50, 000 killed v 1967-70 – over 2,000,0000 killed during the bloody civil war v Kano 1980 v Maiduguri 1982 v Jimeta 1984 v Gombe 1985 v. Zaria 1987 v Kaduna & Kafanchan 1991 v Bauchi & Katsina 1991 v Kano 1991 v Zangon-Kataf 1992 v Funtua 1993 v Kano 1994 v Kaduna 2000 v Kaduna 2001 v Maiduguri 2001 v Kaduna 2002 v Beheading of Gideon Akaluka in December of 1996 in Kano v Saint Moritz killed December 2001 v Post April 2011 Presidential Election: 10 youth-corps men & women and numerous citizens murdered because a Christian Southerner was elected. v Jos Christmas Eve 2010 v Madalla Christmas Apart from killings, just a quick visits to YOUTUBE shows Sir Ahmadu Bello telling a white man that they would rather give job to a foreigner than give to an igbo man if there is no Northerner qualified for it. Yet we are one NIGERIA. There have been several things said on the floor of legislative Northern Assembly against the Igbos, yet we are still here and even abused and directed on how we should vote in One NIGERIA. We have even faced deportation. Below is an extract from the proceedings of the Northern Region House of Assembly between February and March 1964, less than four years after Nigeria’s independence from the British. Mallam Muhammadu Mustapha Mande Gyan: On the allocation of plots to Ibos or allocation of stalls, I would like to advise the Minister that these people know how to make money, and we do not know the way and manner of getting about this business. We do not want Ibos to be allocated with plots. I do not want them to be given plots... Mallam Bashari Umaru: I would like (you), as a Minister of Land and Survey, to revoke forthwith all Certificates of Occupancy from the hands of the Ibos resident in the Region... (Applause) Mr. A. A. Agogede: I’m very glad that we are in a Moslem country, and the government of Northern Nigeria allowed some few Christians in the region to enjoy themselves according to the belief of their religion, but building of hotels should be taken away from the Igbos, and even if we find some Christians who are interested in building hotels and do not have money to do so, the government should aid them, instead of allowing Ibos to continue with their hotels. Dr. Iya Abubakar (Special Member, Lecturer, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria): I am one of the strong believers in Nigerian unity, and I have hoped for our having a united Nigeria, but certainly if the present state of affairs continues, I hope the government will investigate first the desirability and secondly the possibility of extending Northernisation policy to the petty traders. (Applause) Mallam Mukhtar Bello: I would like to say something very important, that the Minister should take my appeal to the Federal Government about the Igbos in the post office. I wish the numbers of these Igbos be reduced…. There are too many of them in the North. They are like sardines and 1 think they are just too dangerous to the Region. Mallam Ibrahim Musa: Mr. Chairman, Sir. Well first and foremost, what I have to say before this Hon. House is that we should send a delegation to meet our Hon. Premier to move a motion in this very Budget Session that all the Ibos working in the Civil Service of Northern Nigeria, including the native authorities, whether they are contractors or not, should be repatriated at once... Mallam Bashari Umaru: There should be no contracts either from the government, native authorities, or private enterprises given to Ibo contractors (Government Bench: Good talk and shouts of “Fire the Southerners”). Again, Mr. Chairman, the foreign firms too should be given time limit to replace all Ibo in their firms by some other people. The Premier (Alhaji the Hon. Sir Ahmadu Bello, K.B.E., Sardauna of Sokoto): It is my most earnest desire that every post in the region, however small it is, be filled by a Northerner (Applause) Alhaji Usman Liman: What brought the Ibos into this region? They were here since the colonial days. Had it not been for the colonial rule, there would hardly have been any Ibo in this region. Now that there is no colonial rule, the Ibos should go back to their region. There should be no hesitation about the matter. Mr. Chairman, North is for Northerners, East for Easterners, West for Westerners, and the Federation is for us all. (Applause) The Minister of Land and Survey (Alhaji the Hon. Ibrahim Musa Cashash, O.B.E.): Mr. Chairman. Sir, I do not like to take up much of the time of this House in making explanations, but I would like to assure members that having heard their demands about Ibos holding land in Northern Nigeria, my ministry will do all it can to see that the demands of members are met. How to do this, when to do it, al1 these should not be disclosed. In due course, you will all see what will happen. (Applause) Culled from M. O. Onyenakeya, Igbos in Nigerian Politics, pp.30-32 While I agree that FULANI herdsmen are annoying and are murderers, we will not divide because you said so. We will divide because we now understand we are totally different from one another not because you want division so Pls, can we have a moment of silence. Even though self determination is not treason, Nobody is going anywhere...........not now. |
APC is a party of hypocrites. The way I am seeing APC, Nigeria may be worse after 4 years of APC rule than it is today. |
EzePromoe:Well done brother, you really made a lot of sense in your post. A day is coming and it won't be long, when we shall all be together in that Nation of our dream. Chukwu Abiama goziere m umu Biafra nile. Biafra is a reality. |
I was surprised to see this when I travelled to Nigeria. When I first saw it I thought it was a kind of Juju thing till it was explained to me |
Change has come oo! Those who bargained for change are seeing real change first hand. If not for anything but for the fact that one of their Fulani brothers is now the one on the helm of affairs of the country, this has emboldened and bolstered the courage of this Fulanis herdsmen to start going after the big fishes. And I tell you, this trend will not abate anytime soon but will get worse because their sole intention is to conquer more territories. God please help your children oo! |
calaway:Who is this guy? Mehn! You wan kill me with laughter. I can't just stop laughing at the way you concocted you analysis and she believed. You fit catch a lot of customers if enter yahoo-yahoo or 419 business. ![]() |

Thank you for this thread. May the God of Apostle Babalola strengthen and bless you greatly. IJN. |
America is surely the present Babylon. The one that was spoken of in the book of Revelations 18. Apart from the bible, I saw a live confession that corroborates with that of the bible. There's this American guy who came all the way from the USA to Nigeria because he had some spiritual problem and after bumping into some YouTube video of some deliverances occurring in one of the ministries in Nigeria. He bought his flight ticket and straight away he landed in Nigeria without even an invitation from the ministry. He attended their deliverance service and during the prayer, the spirit of the beast that tormented him began to manifest and confessed some mind boggling things about this world and how they control the governments the world. And when the spirit was asked of where the possessed man lives and where he was coming from, I was very surprised to hear the spirit say that the man was coming from Babylon. The bible cannot lie. I know that a great calamity will befall America and that calamity will be what will bring about the end of America. We're in the last days and therefore, we who are waiting for the Lord's appearing should not be asleep, but be alert so that we'll not be taken unawares. |
In less than three weeks we've seen how many lives have lost in this Saudi Arabia. The Saudis must be held responsible for this recurring incidents for not putting the required safety measures in place knowing the magnitude of people that always attend to perform this annual rites. I am not a Muslim but this is not good at all. Imagine that one left his country to go and supposedly worship his god just to go and die in another country and be brought back in body bag. Save there's a spiritual connotation to all this death. |

This thread suppose to be on the joke section. I give it to Oshiomole as the best comedian for the year 2015 for his diarrheic orifice ![]() This is What bad belle can cause. |
In the next four years we sure gonna witness a lot of drama form this APC government |
Omololu007:How many times have you heard of Biafran agitators going around bombing and killing innocent people? So in your mind as a right thinking human being you want to compare boko haram and their evil Islamic agenda which has brought so much pain to many innocent people with the Biafran agitators. Is it by force that I must live with you in the same country? Why would you try to kill me just because I decide to agitate in a peaceful manner to go a separate way from you? Is it not our God given right to choose by ourselves where to be as a people? Dios mio ese es terrible!!! |
Omololu007:You are asking as if you're not a Nigerian. So you've not been hearing of how they've been shooting, killling and maiming innocent, innocuous and unarmed Biafran agitators. |
Nigeria should be deamalgamated immediately because we are different nations with diverse cultures and dissimilar way of life lumped together, and we can see that the union is not working. But I don't believe we in the south can live together as one country, at least two countries can come out from the south. Seeing the way igbos and yorubas are always on each other's throat I doubt if they can ever agree unanimously to live together. |
If there happens to be a referendum Catalonia is surely going out from Spain. And no matter how long Spain would try to hold this Catalonians back, their agitation, their desire to be independent and their right to have their own indigenous nation will certainly prevail. This people are not even upto 10million, but for the fact that they think they can prosper being independent than being in Spain hence their desire to secede. And someone is telling me that Biafra with over 40+ million population would not see the light of the day even after fighting a civil war. That person must be a dreamer. Mi sumo deseo y mi anhelo es ver Biafra mi nueva nacion nacer... Viva Biafra. |
The neighbours the Igbos are lumped up with in Nigeria can never see anything good about the igbos. The igbo nation will prosper more if they can have their own country. I believe the birth of Biafra will help the igbos achieve their potential. God bless Biafra. |
The igbos are really blessed. We really need Biafra to achieve our potential |
The body language of Buhari, his 97% and 5% speech, and the APC government as a whole have exhibited and encouraged vindictivenes so far. The height of vengefulness that has been displayed by this government does not portend good for Nigeria. I hope they retrace before its late. |

gists:Please don't try to shift the blame to some other quarters. Gej is not the one bombing and slitting the throat of innocent people in the north. While he was in office you lot politicised everything about boko haram to the extent that you claimed Shekau was a Christian and that the PDP was the sponsor. You didn't want them to talk about the percentage of Muslims that occupied certain high positions but you castigated Gej nonstop while presenting your unsubstantiated proofs that he hated Muslims. The islamophobia you see in Nigeria today and in the world at large is based on what islam has done and is doing in its effort to propagate the Islamic religion and establish their sharia law worldwide via terrorism. The harm this people have caused is conspicuous even to the blind. So who no go fear Islam? |
The islamophobia in Nigeria is quite justified by the terror the islamists have cast into the hearts of people. Look at Chad, even as an islamic country has banned the wearing of hijab. And this is a country that is not even the hotbed of the Islamist's atrocities, but they saw the need to be proactive and hence the banning of hijab in order to forestall the attack of this islamists. And here we are even as the most affected by the inhumane activities of this islamists and the terror they've cast into the hearts of our people seeing someone advocate for what we've seen severally as a mode with which this islamists have used unsuspectingly to perpetrate their evil activities. And at the same time try condemn us for having phobia for islam. |
This people are their level of propaganda against the Igbos is really mind boggling. The sleeplessness they have on Igbo matters goes beyond nairaland. They hate Igbos so much but do not wanna see igbos secede to have their own country. They carry on with their misinformation and half-truth against the igbos with an evil intent to cause disaffection between them and the rest of the country. I just want to remind this Yoruba propagandists that diaris God ooo!!! ![]() |
PapiWata:You never disappoint, I knew you must be present, wherever TB Joshua's name is mentioned you're always there to pour your invective. |
Cataluyna had their rally yesterday in Spain which over 2 million people participated in. We didn't hear of anyone been shot by the police or the military. The Nigerian police and the military do not understand that people have the right to rally and demand for their right to be, and right to form their own ingenious nation. I hope they wont do anything funny. |
Sometimes it's good for one to make a mistake and then learn some vital lessons from such mistake, and then never make such mistake again. But it's a very bad thing if one makes a mistake and is aware of it, and still insists, maybe because of pride that what he did was right. Most of the people that wronged the Igbos based on what transpired during the civil war are coming to the realisation that what they did was wrong. They have discovered who their real enemies are in the nation called Nigeria. We should forgive them so that we can forge ahead because to err is human. |
