PoliticsRe: See What An Indian Expatriate Wrote About Nigeria by DonXavi(m):
We have put ourselves in the place we are today. Successive leaders of this country have made this country the laughing stock that it is today to the outside world because they failed to do things differently.

How can you reconcile this, a restaurant owner whose children languish in hunger and starvation. That is the real picture of Nigeria and Nigerians.

So I don't blame the Indian for expressing his views about Nigeria.
We have everything that is needed to be a great nation, but because of the mismanagement, inefficiency and lack of foresight of the people we allowed to oversee what God has blessed us with we are where we are today.

There is soooooo much noise comin frm Ndigbos in their quest for Biafra! Why is there still soooo much pressure on gov to construct a 2nd Niger bridge? Why is Ndigbe alws lookin to be compensated like they re d only ones being marginalised! Since they loved GEJ sooooo much why didn't they get him to giv them d bridge? Jus my tots sha!
If you were a wise person you would not ask this question.

The south east is still in Nigeria and still pay tax to the federal government, so as long as they're in Nigeria and still pay tax to Nigeria, they're entitled to all the benefits every other Nigerian gets. So get that into your skull.

I don't really know why you guys go about opening numerous threads about Igbos, Biafra and south east. It seems the issue of Biafra is giving you guys sleepless night hence every Dick and Harry now open threads here and there to talk about Biafra.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Has Best Appointment Under Buhari – Keyamo by DonXavi(m):
I sense Kayemi lacks wisdom. The question was about South East Region not getting a single appointment so far in Buhari' s government, instead of him to answer the question asked he went and brought Igbos in Delta state south south region into it to justify the injustice and prove that Buhari has no hatred for any region.

They rephrased the question reminding him of Buhari's statement of 97% and 5%.
Even the blind can see through that Buhari is fulfilling that statement he made.

Imagine if someone went around and threatened that he would give you shit and later starts givng you the shit in reality and someone by the corner who maybe, because of one thing or the other or because he is courting for favour from the shit giver decides to feign ignorance to the shit being dished to you after many demonstrated proofs, starts telling you that nothing is wrong, that everything is alright.

Everybody is entitled to his opinion tho.
PoliticsRe: Lopsided Appointments: Northern Elders Release List Of Jonathan’s Appointees by DonXavi(m): 2:38pm On Sep 06, 2015
This list that this so called Nothern elders released is only meant for deception.

You can see how stealthily they secluded the names of the northerners that GEJ appointmented and only listed the names of the southerners alone.
If they really wanted to be realistic they would've listed all the full appointmets made by GEJ. And there you'll notice that GEJ' s appointment was not lopsided as Buhari's appointments so far.

It's only the gullible and the naive that will be unable to decipher the evil intent of the so called elders in trying to justify the malevolence of their brother.

PoliticsAnti-corruption War Is Non-negotiable, Buhari Replies Jonathan’s Ministers by DonXavi(op): 9:28pm On Aug 30, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday replied former Nigerian ministers who questioned the sincerity of his anti-corruption war, saying it is not intended to rubbish the name of anyone.
The ministers, who served in the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, had in a statement cautioned against selective anti-corruption war and warned against labelling the Jonathan government as corrupt.
In his response, Mr. Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, asked the country’s latest “trade union formation, the Association of Ex-Jonathan Ministers to do a bit of self-reflection on the sort of government they handed to President Muhammadu Buhari back in May to determine for themselves if it would have been right for any incoming government, not just this one to ignore the issue of the brazen theft of public assets, perhaps the first of its kind we have ever seen in this country”.
“Earlier statements made in this regard that there is no witch hunt or malice against anyone in the pursuit of the county’s stolen assets still stands” Shehu said in a statement, Sunday in Abuja.
He added that the war against corruption knows no friend nor foe, he said .
Mr. Shehu said there was no intention to deny anyone of their good name where they are entitled to it and that President Buhari reserves the highest regards for the country’s former leaders including Mr. Jonathan who he continues to praise for the way and manner in which he accepted defeat in the last election.
“For the purpose of emphasis, the issue of fighting corruption by President Buhari is non-negotiable.
It is sine qua non to the overall reconstruction of the economy and social systems which suffered destruction and severe denigration under the last administration. President Buhari will not be deterred or blackmailed into retreat and surrender” he said.
He added that no one in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, can accuse President Buhari of undermining the economy when “all they handed over to him is at best, was a tottering economy hobbled by corruption and the absence of due process”.
He added that the situation in Nigeria has become worsened by the continuing fall of oil prices, which is expected to fall even further with the imminent full return of Iran to the global oil market. According to Mr. Shehu, all the president has been doing is to put things together, organize to defeat Boko Haram, pay outstanding salaries, clean up the mess left behind, improve security and restore Nigeria’s relationships with neighbours and the world.
“So what are former ministers afraid of in these things? Have they become a new trade union?
“Let this collection of ex-VIPs allow the President the peace he needs to handle the reconstruction of the economy and the nation in a manner that most serves Nigeria’s best interests.
“President Buhari does not need these types of distraction presented by the so-called association of former ministers”.

PoliticsNorthern Group Chides Oshiomhole Over Jonathan by DonXavi(op): 6:11pm On Aug 30, 2015
A northern youth group, the Arewa Youth Parliament, has urged Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state to halt what the group described as unguarded utterances and media attack on the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Jonathan and Oshiomhole
Insisting that the attacks are unacceptable, the group noted that the current mood of the nation dictates that all Nigerians move away from unprogressive lamentations and hauling of unfounded allegations.

According to the group in a statement in Kaduna yesterday signed by its Chairman, Ibrahim Garba Rigachikun and Secretary General, Faith Joshua, “we believe that the season of propaganda ended after May 29, 2015 and what matters most now is the development of infrastructure across the country for the overall good of all Nigerians.

“We are aware that Governor Oshiomhole is not the official spokesman of the APC Federal Government and should allow those who it is their duty to do their job.

“We also advise him to switch from the campaign propaganda mode and emergency radicalism to do the needful for the people of Edo state. The Governor has apparently abandoned the task of overseeing affairs of Edo state to become an emergency critic of Dr. Jonathan who is supposed to be peacefully resting after serving the nation to the best of his ability.

“The Governor’s media propaganda against the former President is uncalled for and unsuitable in this cooling off period when Nigerians expect a string of developmental projects as promised them by his party during the 2015 electioneering campaigns.”

PoliticsOf Buharists And Those They Call The Wailers. by DonXavi(op): 5:03pm On Aug 30, 2015
When I hear someone says he is a Buharists, I immediately picture a fanatic. The people they call The Wailers too I see as fanatics. The former are those who see President Muhammadu Buhari as a god, he is above criticism because he is above mistakes and anything he does is for the best of this country and whatever he did not do and wouldn't do is for the best of the country. The president's action cannot be questioned by whatever he does or said is absolute. They remind me of Hitler youths. The latter are those who don't see anything good except Goodluck Jonathan and they don't see anything good in Buhari or don't believe any good can come out of the Buhari regime. I don't have much problems with The Wailers, Goodluck Jonathan is not the president of Nigeria anymore, my problem is with the Buharists.
They have always been unnecessarily aggressive, violent, insulting and intolerant of second views. They just scream when there is nothing to scream about if you mention Buhari. I think the name Wailing Wailers fit the Buharists more because they are alarmists.
Look at the issue of appointments by Buhari recently. Pundits all over have reiterated that it does not reflect Nigerianess as Buhari lopsided appointments would only make him look like he has something against some sections as they have since he became president reiterated. Some of the most respected writers who have supported Buhari and celebrated him have voiced their disappointments, but Buharists just start insulting people and turn the social media into insults and blackmail because people aired their views. If you are not praising Buhari then Buharists see you as an enemy. Look at the Rev. father Matthew Kukah's case. Buharists are some of the most dangerous people online nowadays. They blackmail, insult, defame, lie, concoct stories, all in their bid to defend Buhari. The only thing that can defend Buhari is his work.
PoliticsRe: See Video Of What Ahmadu Bello Said About Igbos And Northerners by DonXavi(m):
This is what we have been saying. This plan was hatched long ago. And I can tell you that most northerners have this same mind set, hence what we're seeing today.

Sometimes I ask myself, are we really better as one country or is it not better if we go our separate ways and have our different countries. Be it Odua, Arwa, Biafra or whatever than to be in this synthetic contraption called a nation.

An Oduastan, Arwastan or Biafran will show a great sense of unalloyed patriotism to his country than a Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo will ever show to this Lugardian country called Nigeria.
Then why are we foolishly fooling ourselves with this one Nigeria deceit.
PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso's Spokesman Jaafar Jaafar On Buhari's Appointments by DonXavi(m):
This is a reasonable person speaking here. Though he is Fulani, but he did not allow his sense of reasoning to be beclouded by his support for Buhari.

Many come here with a feeble defensive argument that Buhari can make all his appointments from one section of the country for all they care, that as long as these appointees are capable to execute their responsibility no qualms. And I ask them can this same excuse be acceptable to the people in the other section of the country if the reverse was the case.

There's an axiom in my place that if one is accused of being a pilferer and later that person is caught red handed stealing, it means such a person is in reality a fool without remedy.

The stereotyping that trailed Buhari all these years as an ethnic begot would've instilled some sense into him to do things differently this time, but no; he rightly chose to justify those who have always accused him of this same misdemeanour.
If he really means well for the country and wants to appoint individuals untainted with corruption, I believe they could be sourced from every part of the country and not just one section.
