A few girlfriends of mine went out for a girl day out and we were enjoying ourselves until one of the girl's boyfriend came along we never met this guy who she just started being exclusive with and she INTRODUCED HIM AS HER FRIEND, apparently to the guy they were more than friends because he said, you mean boyfriend? She said oh, you know same thing,

The guy excused himself and apparently was mad at her for calling him her friend. Now that is not the only cases I have seen because I actually called my husband's my homey lover friend and he got mad. Now I was only kidding but to him he wasn't kidding. He got mad and gave me this lecture, that he is my husband and that is what I should always call him.

Questions:

Why do guys trip off when you don't call them the title they think they deserve?

Ladies,

IF the guy called you his shorty, boo, friend, or associate, WHEN YOU CLEARLY WANTS TO BE MORE THAN THAT, would you get mad and leave or would you stay?

We should try and always call things by their names. i cannot admit my spouse introducing me to her friends as being her friend, the first thing that will strike my mind would be that there's something fishy going on.

I don't see any need for girls to be fighting over a man, after all the man will at the end stick to the person he truly loves, It's really pathetic to see how some girls crave for their girl friends man. Imagine that u walk around with her, u tell her every secret about u and ur man, without knowing that she is really desiring to take ur place. In this case, I'll say that men equally have some blames to share, though not much, we know men are naturally promiscuous and have the tendency of being easily lured. Girls should be 100% blamed in this case because I believe a girls have the power to resist the man in a situation whereby the harassment is coming from the man. I believe that any girl that lays with her GF's man can equally poison her, so girls watch ur back,

I think u r confusing LOVE for something else, u should better tell us that u were playing with two sisters trying to lay both without letting the other know. try and discover what u r feeling because i think it's called "LUST"

It depends on what ur motives are, If u wanna abuse and dump her then u should not go there, but if u really want her as ur wify i think there's nothing evil about that, age is just number, some may see it as absurd and incongruous but i think it's normal because this is something that has to do with ur feelings and happiness. being a graduate i think she'll understand things, but i think u need to sit back and strategize ur approach plan so she won't misconstrue ur genuine intention, My advice is that u should expect the unexpected which may be; loosing ur respect as uncle or winning her as ur better half, I wish u good luck sha!

Biggups to you for playing that detective on her, that was smart. Oldboy even marriage is going techno nowadays, you are sure wisening up the menfolk! I will not advise my brother to marry a woman who will not be faithful to him but that one test is not enough as some posters also said. If it were a more concrete physical test, only then do you have an evidence. She really failed that test but try forgive her, even if she no be better person you can mould her into one through lots of love. She may be trying to play safe and not put all her eggs in one basket, not that I am justifying that action of hers----------the length you guys have gone, she should be faithful but she may have acted so from feeling insecure. Distant relationship is no easy thing-----especially for a sexually active adult. Do you guys communicate enough through the distance? Loneliness can tempt her into that too.
I was and is still feeling happy for your said fiance that almost got blessed and still wish that she stands firm that things work out good for her.

@Ivynwa I called her every blessed day and sent her text message first thing almost every morning, Is that not sufficient communication? doing that I was trying to make her have the assurance and security that I'm there for her.

Maybe because of many stories about guys abroad jilting home base girls and breaking their hearts. Let's say maybe because of that she didn't wanna put all her eggs in one basket. I don't really know what her justification would be for this mistrust.

@ Ladyjide I suppose, for something to be certified it needs to first pass through a test and that's exactly what I did, u cannot start trusting someone without the person earning that trust. this is a girl I never knew before and for me to trust her she needed to prove it. our plan was that after our weeding she'll stay back to finish her studies, Do u expect me to leave a woman I don't trust back in Naija alone? please!

I don't see anything wrong in giving money to ur Gf, when u know ur gf is not working and has no means of income u should give her money, there's no LOVE that does not express itself through giving, in turn if the guy is the one in need and his gf is well to do financially she should also help the guy as well. it shouldn't always be guys stuff to give.

I'll advice the guy not to accept her proposal, maybe this girl is trying to entangle u, I'll advise u to be wise because she can even falsify a medical report just to convince you, people can go to any length to achieve their aim when they're really in LOVE maybe this is her only means to trap u.

As at the time i met her she told me she has no boy friend but she told me about her past love life,  Some people here are asking whether she has succumbed or not, when a girl cannot pass a day without sending mail to a guy or hearing from the guy, what do u call that? She's is even imploring the guy to come back to Nigeria that she earnestly wants to see him. This is a girl u've gone out with and for u not to be with her does not mean u r enemies, i think it's normal to send her wishes. let me ask u a question if u see anything bad coming to her won't u call her and inform her? if yes is the answer then call her at this her happy moment and i tell u if she's really a reasonable person she'll appreciate it, and u'll be equally happy within u that u did,

I've lived outside the country for almost 15 year and I have always desired to get married to a Nigerian woman, but it was difficult to get hooked up with one for the mere fact that anytime I came home I stayed less than 10 day.

In the 2008 my junior sister visited Nigeria as she was relocating to the United States and met this girl in a beauty saloon where she went to fix her hair, coincidentally the girl happened to come from the same Town with me, and her maternal home also happened to be my village. My sister told her that she has a brother she would like her to hook up with, perhaps they may become friends, the girl consented and said there was no problem. My sister then traveled to the US and called me to give me this girls cell phone number. After some months I called her and introduced myself to her and from there on we started calling each other, sending pictures and so on, we really became fond of each other to an extent that I started sending her money and some other things. Around August 2009 as I was traveling to the United States for business, I decided to pass through Nigeria to see this girl. I saw her in person and liked her.

After some months in the States I came back to Nigeria again with a whole lot of shopping I did for her, I bought her almost everything a girl would desire to have. We later went for medical check up and everything was fine, the same day I took her to a joint and proposed to her, she accepted and we were happy, later I went to her house and saw her parents, I really liked her family because I discovered that they're God fearing people. after a couple of weeks I traveled back to Spain and we've been in touch since then. I took it up on me to be paying her school fees and taking total care of her as she is still an undergraduate. I was doing all these because of what I feel for her, But then, I decided to give her a test.

To be frank, I opened a new facebook account with a different profile picture and solicited her friendship of which she accepted and I started wooing her as a different person, lo and behold she succumbed. Right now I chat with her in disguise and she is showing interest on this new guy without knowing what's going on and I'm still taking care of her. So my fellow nairalander I would like to have your view on this issue. I know that among thousands of opinions that you guys will convey here someone will sincerely make sense.

Women sometimes try to see how serious a guy is by pretending at the begining and at the same time trying to show the guy they're not the easy meat type, even though they feel for the guy. their real feelings begins to be evident when they start dicovering that the guy is a kind of retroceding, and for them not to lose the guy at that point in time they're forced to show all those reserved feelings at once which to the guy, he'll be like Gud damn what's going on? ,
