Weldone OP. One thing I'll like to add is, you should be aware that b * b -4* a * c will not always return a positive number, such as imaginary roots. So at the barest minimum you need an if else in your code. You mind coding v1.1 of your solver? |

I quite agree with you on the fact that the VO "suspected" that the account was fake and hence took it to the back room to "confirm" if it was indeed a fake account. Like you said, circumstances determines how the ban is issued out. I was not there and you were not there, my believe still remains the same. But there is a rule that applies to every applicant who's caught misrepresting facts, or not having strong ties with home country. The guy got a 214b, and that means he still has the chance to reapply, whether or not he's issued/not issued in the future is inconsequential. I never said he WILL be issued the next time he applies. But to say he was banned permanently or for 10 years, is what I do not agree with. Concerning your area bro, he used a hacked credit card to apply to school or embassy? If school, how come the embassy is denying him based on issues he has with the school? If embassy (a Nigerian applicant), not sure you can pay with credit card for your visa. So please come up with a different example. When you have time, please paste the links here. imperiouxx: Mr you're saying this because you know little about how ban is handed over after being caught as a phony. Circumstances with which you're caught determines how the ban is handed over to you. I only have little time for NL nowadays, I would have loved giving you links to cases.
An area brother once paid application fee via someone who used a hacked credit card for the payment. The school (bowling green) later told him of the development but he went to the embassy afterwards, he got refused. After two more trials with another school, a kind hearted VO told him about the reasons he always get refused, fake credit card for application fee. He try to rectify this issue with the school but it wasn't successful. So tell me how was his ban handed to him? He always get 2(b) whatever everytime he's refused.
So just answer my first question in a simple sentence, on a normal day do VOs collect bank statements, go in and after some minutes come back and say you're refused? And if that happens and you know the bogus account you handed to them and the consequence that follows, what do you think that just happened? Remember the agent told him they wont confirm the account but this VO went in with the account and come out with a bad news, what does that tell you? |
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by dotman2460: 5:58pm On Nov 29, 2014 |
Well Mr, my believe is that the VO would have given him the permanent ban immediately. Why delay and give a wrong reason to the applicant? That's my interpretation of it. imperiouxx: lols. VO went in with the statement of account and come back and with refusal. Question is on a good day, does VO go in with applicant's statement of account? It takes no time to call the bank for confirmation. Sometimes VOs pronounce ban and sometimes they don't, it's after applying for like 6 times without any success that the story become clear to you.
He shouldn't waste his money and take it as fate. |

If the VO was indeed convinced that he presented a fake document, why didn't she issue a permanent ineligibility penalty? I also do not want to believe she would write that he presented presented fake document, when she could have given an instant lifetime ban. That's my believe. Maybe, just maybe VO was not entirely convinced that it was fake, hence, 214(b). zeezahbee: no one is saying he should not apply. inshort with a ban, you can apply and still go back there. the website will allow you to pay but when your records comes up in front of a VO, he will see you have presented a fake document before and only if he destined to come to america, will he get the visa. 212a,214b, 214c. it all bottles down to denial. i didnt write it in any of my post that he should not apply again, i only said he has a red flag on him. the first VO must have written a comment and subsequent VO will perceive him to be a fraud. normal psychology. |

It is not uncommon to find Univ. that send admission letters via email alone, but it is weird if you ask me. If the school insist that they won't send you a hard copy via regular mail (assuming this is their policy) find such policy on their website or request for it and print it out. Also, check with the US embassy here, explain things to them that, your school will not send you a hard copy of your admission letter as per the Univ. policy, make sure you communicate the link to the policy from the univ website, or any of such. If possible, you could request that you pay for the shipping cost, it's worth the effort. http://college.usatoday.com/2013/04/11/should-college-acceptance-letters-be-sent-via-email/Am assuming they won't do same for I20, because there are no two ways to that, it must be sent via regular mail or courier. http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/sevis_qa_may2009.pdfAll the best. P. S. Alternatively, you could ask them to hold on to the admission letter for now, when it's time to send your I20(assuming they will send this via mail), then request they send it together. Some schools also have special arrangements with courier services whereby you get heavily discounted shipping rates. Check to see if your school has this. By the way which school are we talking about here? DrCaleb: Hi house, my admission notification was sent via email and was not posted to Me by mail. Hope it won't pose much concern. Was anybody's admission letter sent via email alone. Tnx as u reply. |

Not sure how far away your location(ogba) is to the US Embassy, considering other likely constraints, you are better off staying at a nearby hotel. Do not mind the cost, when you get your visa, you immediately forget whatever cost. Search for Peerage Hotel (the most affordable for me) on Jovago(make sure you go through here). Tell them that you'll need a car/driver to take you to US embassy latest 5:30am, less than 3 mins drive to the embassy. And if your choice is Eko Hotel, bros rooms plenty.... LOL...jk P.S. I do not know Peerage or Jovago from Adam. sholay2011: Pls, I want to seek expert advice here. My interview holds later this month in Lagos. Time slated is 6:30 a.m. I stay at Ogba, Ikeja.
Is it advisable I leave (probably with a taxi) that morning (say like 5.00 am) and get to embassy before or by 6:30, considering distance, traffic etc? The day is Wednesday. Also, does the interview exactly start by the 6:30 am or it's just 'formality'?
PS: I am not a lagosian. Just came here for my nysc and dunno much about how the whole Island and traffic thing work.
An adequate reply or advice would be appreciated. |
