Ilebaye is not aware of the commotion going on out here and the various unfounded speculations by some cynics that she manipulated her meteoric rise to superstardom.
Right now, it will be ingenious and evil for anyone to belittle or undermine her proudest achievement which is making it this far on this show.
If by God's grace she's crowned the ultimate winner of Allstars, attributing her win to anything short of spiritual grace or secular luck would be nothing short of mischief and bad sportsmanship.
It is crystal clear the dynamics responsible for her current adoration are fortuitous and completely outside her control.
Win or lose, nobody can deny her the gratification of a well deserved standing ovation on 1st of October. |

BadMaster: They have bullied this girl to the point that she's now timid in that house. I hope it doesn't affect her psychologically even after the show. That is the reason you and I and majority of Nigerians voting on this show are lending our support. We can definitely see her imperfections and we know she needs proper mentorship. Our prayers and hope is for her to win that money first to shame the "agbayas" undermining her but more importantly for her to start a real journey at self discovery, making better choices and becoming a fulfilled and successful woman. |

Ilebaye is a better human
Look at them gathered around her, hope those bullies didn't occupy the bed and ask her to sleep on the couch? I was surprised Ceec didn't turn down the BFF offer. The way Mercy is worshipped in that house showcases how humans worship success, scorn failure and undermine and trample down weaklings and underdogs. |

AwkaFinest: Out of every 10 polls Ilebaye wins 7, Adekunle 2 and Mercy 1. Any poll you see Ceec wins, just know that it's done by a Ceec fan, with lots of Ceec followers; In some cases same goes for Mercy.
But just put up a poll as a neutral and see the result. Ilebaye wins 7 out of 10, while Adekunle and Mercy drags the rest. Ceec is a none starter to begin with.
Even their wins yesterday, Ilebaye's HOH win garnered 7k likes in 1hr, Ceec's immunity win was 4k likes in 1hr, that of Mercy not being up for eviction was 5k likes in 1hr. Note that both Ceec and Mercy have more than x3 the number of followers of Ilebaye on Twitter. Don't let us also discountenance the strength of Ceec in the finals. For me, I'm slightly reassured by the fact that both (Mercy/Ceec) are both there till the last day. At least the idea of one inheriting the fan base of the other has been nullified. The appearance of Cross also in the finals is a blessing of sort. Although some might wave it off as inconsequential, but weakening any individual candidate benefiting from a powerful South Eastern bloc vote is critical on the final day. Thank God Ilebaye enjoys support from diverse blocs and that will be crucial because she doesn't come from an ethnic base generally known to be vested in this show. Take it or leave it, some vital variables and statistics would be crucial in determining the winner at the end of the day whether we agree or disagree. |

Apart from Soma jumping in last night, Biggie also did crisis management by calling him to the DR to prevent the inevitable. Whether we like it or not, the dude needs proper anger management therapy. |

fitzmayowa: I just marvel at what I'm reading here today under the guise of she provoked him, he is my fave I have to defend him, Tuesday when Alex called Pere bad energy unprovoked his response of insulting her father was applauded by everyone because he gave an equal verbal response to a verbal provocation.....
There is no justification to assault, if Alex had provoked him verbally what happened to returning the energy verbally If Alex had attacked him physically first then he is justified to throw her out of Biggie's window, but since that didn't happen Pere is guilty..... Precisely! We are not even saying Pere is not justified in reacting. What we are saying is that such a reaction ought to be measured and should be within the rules of the game. For me, Pere expresses anger using violent aggression, we have seen him behave like this repeatedly with different individuals. |

carammel: Lol, you need to pick a struggle mr man. The same you has always excused Venita when she provokes Ade and a strong advocate of women will always be women and as a man you should be ready to be patient with her and tolerate her, Biko, what changed?
Go through my post well, I never support a woman going physical, I am an advocate of tit for tat. If a woman gives it to you verbally, give it back to her verbally and if she makes the first hit physically, deck her right back, finito.
Do not return verbal abuse with physical abuse, In the sight of the law, the punishment for verbal abuse is not as serious as that of physical abuse(battery), no one even remembers the physically abused party provoked first.
This is still the same reason, a man who acted on impulse by killing another man he meets in bed with his wife is still considered to be a murderer even though he acted out of provocation. Thanks. Let those with ears listen to the words of wisdom!! |

scondy: The environment they are is a make believe one....its totally different from the outside world...so reactions in there do not necessarily equate same outside....so this line of argument that Pere has anger management issues is a hasty one. We watched him on SYE ...we have seen Alex areesively punch another...use extremely insulting words...same as doyin.
So if their actions resulted in an out of character reaction from him.
It's explainable.. Tetes, I'm disappointed at your position. So why are Warnings, Strikes and Disqualifications integral part of the show? Of course, Pere has every right to express his discontentment and reject Alex's provocation and goading using any acceptable means. However, physical aggression under whatever guise is not allowed on this show, period. |

OBAMAKILLOSAMA: Can you please shut up.
Pere had been on BBN before and he had no problem with any lady in that first time.
He came the second time, met a lady, asked for her friendship, she said NO. Guy moved on, but the bitch will not move on.
When Prince came in, she wanted to use that one to pepper Pere, Pere still ignored her, because her combination with Prince looks like two agberos in love.
Every problem Pere has in that house can be trace back to ALEX. WHY? Can't she move on...
On every party night ALEX is the only lady people hardly dance with, besides, that bitch looks like a man... Very ugly thing.
Pere however, is not using his head... He should avoid the bitch.
I just hope he doesn't get disqualified.
And I have always blamed CEECE during SYE due to her confrontation with ALEX, thinking she is the bitter one Not knowing Alex is the real devil.
Gosh!!! Sorry C, you are a queen. And why the ineptitude? I have expressed a personal opinion; it is within your rights to disagree and not be rude. By the way, in your rush to defend and not assimilate, you stated “Pere however is not using his head”. Was he using his head and controlling his anger when he threw Alex off the bed with the mattress? Was he using his head and managing his anger when he moved menacingly towards Doyin and ended up punching the wall ending up with a strike? Was he using his head and managing his anger when he pounded the table thrice and threatened Adekunle with assault after the HoH game? Please educate us how many of these anger related incidents are linked to Alex and whilst at it, tell us how many male HMs that have exhibited similar violent reactions in the house under provocation? Pere has anger management issues that are very obvious to discerning minds, period. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by DoubleeDee: 7:45am On Sep 17, 2023 |
It is very easy to attribute Pere’s aggression last night to deliberate unrelenting provocation from Alex and those with this line of thought will be justified based on the incontrovertible evidence.
However, I personally feel Pere has “anger management issue” particularly with women requiring urgent and corrective therapy. For a man coming from a failed marriage, this type of uncontrollable aggression openly displayed on international Tv first with Doyin leading to that indelible hole on the wall and physically throwing Alex off the mattress yesterday is very scary to say the least.
If Pere can behave like this in a controlled environment under 24hrs camera probing, one wonders what he’s actually capable of in private.
We can always hide under the cloak of partisanship by rejecting the obvious because Pere is our fave, but in truth Pere needs help.
This is in no way intended to justify Alex’s scornful, provocative and bitter attitude which we all know stems from Pere’s rejection. |

They always coerce and manipulate her to apologize but they never apologize to her sincerely! The have made her numb to pain and shame and when she cries, they’ll say she’s looking for arisers and pity votes! And when we arise on her behalf, they call us gullible headless mobs! I can’t wait for this show to end so that she’ll be free to do whatever she wants and enjoy her life to the fullest! She's a tough cookie beneath that pain and agony. |

Tatiana4u: Thank you for your objectivity but I don’t think Baye cries all the time for pity like people are always accusing her! She masks her pain more than most of them in that house and she doesn’t even milk her pitiable situations like she should! See how she completely ignored Venita when she tried to accuse her of stealing her cake…it’s so sad! Absolutely Tats, and the DGoodlyf has also echoed that point succinctly. I saw that scene when Venita openly insinuated Baye could have taken her cake last night. I was disgusted when she actually got up to go check but returned few seconds later having confirmed otherwise without saying a word or apologising. These are not isolated cases, they occur day in day out and are the reasons majority of viewers are moved by compassion to support Baye relentlessly. |

Geezeem: The part you highlighted in my post isn't directed at your team alone per se
I've always seen and called these guys con artists. Fair enough it's a game
I've always had this stance if you check my posts in previous seasons
Baye is playing a dangerous game A sniper's game
If her game is even fun to watch, I wouldn't have minded
What is fun or funny about someone crying every minute or forming victim?
It's very draining
Anyway, let the best scammer win You obviously didn't digest my post. Did you read this: "The truth is, let Baye 'cry me a river' from morning till night, no matter how clever anyone is at playing a pity game, such a game will never fly without any visible or credible evidence of bullying or ill-treatment." Ponder on it. |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by DoubleeDee: 9:15am On Sep 16, 2023 |
Geezeem: I will never be able to see this show as anything else but a GAME
And in a game, you want your opponent to fail so you can win.
Ike's exit isn't cos of what you wrote above, remember that it's only one winner... so even the Pope among them will not necessarily win. Baye is far from being morally upright anyway
I had stated this in the morning, the reason you all saw "bullying, victimization and intimidation" is cos this girl is supposedly competing with some older housemates.
We watched this girl in a house filled with her peers and no one saw her as a victim... in all the fights she got engaged into, which was reportedly a lot
Correct me as I didn't watch her level house much, was she crying this much?
EVERY SINGLE ONE of these people came with a strategy, some just chooses to be more vocal than others about it hence you seeing Ike in the light you saw him.
At least, one thing is clear... I mean Ike is still getting his wishes granted. He had said, anyone but Mercy
So if your Baye wins, Ike will be fine with it. He once told us he knows he won't win.... so no biggy
This show is not a moral show, I don't seem to understand where the morality is coming from...
This show we used to watch housemates walk naked, shower naked and shag openly?
Nah... for me it remains a game
And I will always prefer not to be fooled Gee, to me, Ike/Baye’s case was more of insensitivity than morality. Now, let us consider Anti-Baye pundits including you who actually believe Baye’s supporters are being fooled by her theatrics. The question is, if every time Baye was unjustly bullied and demeaned, she decides to walk away without uttering any word or being emotive, will Viewers opposed to bullying look the other way simply because she’s not expressing or displaying any hurt? Why is it difficult to accept that whether Baye reacts with emotional hurt or keeps a straight face, majority of people all over the world will always identify with the underdog whenever injustice rears its ugly head? The truth is, let Baye 'cry me a river' from morning till night, no matter how clever anyone is at playing a pity game, such a game will never fly without any visible or credible evidence of bullying or ill-treatment. So how exactly are Baye's supporters being fooled? It is a shame Anti-Baye movement had chosen to tag BayeTribe gullible and 'arisers' for showing compassion and empathy towards a victimized adolescent. Let us all be patient and we’ll know who’s being fooled when your chickens come home to roost on the final day and Baye is handed the grand prize due to the support, love and votes of majority of viewers |

Geezeem: This was what came to my mind immediately i read about the fight
To me, scam me all you want but don't make it obvious. i don't like to feel like a fool
This is why I don't like Baye as well. Her strategy is too obvious
it's better they are open about it like Ike, then I can enjoy it for the drama it's... than a make believe that is low budget Gee, your reading is completely wrong and defeatist. Ike was ready to do anything to win notwithstanding the right or wrong of his action. The fact that it was done in the open, didn't give it legitimacy. It only highlighted his desperation. You saw it as entertainment but majority saw it as tasteless hence his early exit. The truth is, Baye does not have any strategy convincing enough to manipulate her prolonged stay in the house. Majority of viewers made that decision not based on her actions but on the actions of other HMs adjudged to be unfair to her. In fact, Ike's strategy particularly towards Baye was one of the fundamental reasons Baye's obscurity was turned to a blooming spotlight. |
