alj harem:
yes greed of both sides

no they can be remembered every year but it should not be taught in schools or to people under 18 or 16 because people still have feelings about the war
Dont you think our kids have the right to know what happened to their fathers from a more genuine point of view (school)
or do you prefer them picking it up from the streets and probably a biased piece of it

and dont you also think that if the growing get to know the real truth about the war and also come to know that people that lost there head to the war is also been acknowledged  they wouldnt view the war as tribal and also they wouldnt want such to repeat itself

Dont you think so?

From the Look of our discussion so far and from the link below cant we see that the war was as result of political greed from both sides.

And my question still Remains
should the memories of people that lost their lives in this political war be left to go down the drain?

Creating a date to honor the fallen heroes will show love and reduce the tendency of another war
PoliticsRe: One Million Five Hundred Thousand Nigerians Died by doublekay(op): 2:28am On Dec 09, 2010
TO my own thinking the government should create a date in honor of those that lost their lives and those that lost their loved ones cos the war wasnt a child's play. its true its unsuccessful but for Gods sake my brother peoples loved one lost their lives

for those that knows quite little about the war you can visit this link and understand why this war shouldnt just be allowed to go down time as just any other event       http://www.myinfobell.com/exclusive_naija_war.html
PoliticsOne Million Five Hundred Thousand Nigerians Died by doublekay(op): 2:18am On Dec 09, 2010
What Happened to about one million five hundred thousand Nigerians? What is the plight of mothers who lived to see their sons no more? children who till date have nobody to call father?

Or have we forgotten so fast the terrible event that took the life of our brothers roughly 40 years ago, The Nigerian biafran War as it is so called, had come and gone but the wound is still there and can not be forgotten.

Should we sweep the event under the carpet and forget it or is it worth remembring just like the americans remember there sept 11 terrorist attack

Celebrities35th-greatest African & Africa Greatest Scientist Of All Time, Is He Really Dat? by doublekay(op): 3:34pm On Nov 23, 2010
Was voted the "35th-greatest African (and greatest African scientist) of all time" in a survey by New African magazine. His achievements were quoted in a speech by Bill Clinton as an example of what Nigerians could achieve when given the opportunity. He is also a frequent feature of Black History Month articles in the popular press.

That not withstanding he was qualified as being a fraud star (1), and was also considered lazy by the law suit of the Michigan Court of Appeals.

The question now is, 'is he really what he is said to be considering great african scholars like Noble prize winner prof Wole soyinka and Chinua Achebe'.

Talking of no other person but Philip Chukwurah Emeagwali renowned supercomputing pioneer a native of Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Emeagwali Lied Again! by doublekay: 3:15pm On Nov 23, 2010
Lets Not Forget The Words Of B I G were he said more money more problem.

Nobody is a saint so is our brother emeagwali. he is not the first neither will he be the last. The truth is that hardly will you see a great man that does not have a past to be talked about.
or have we forgotten our own two face idibia and talks about womanising.  wole soyinka and talks about being the founding father of cultism in Nigeria, Fela Kuti and talks of reckless life  mandela and talks about racial violence and assosciation with the nbm ( confra). i can go on and on in calling names of great men  and their flaws.

its not as if i am supporting emeagwali but i have learnt that atimes we should view life from the brighter side.

You can see the life history of philip emeagwali via this link http://myinfobell.com/top_shots_emeagwali.html

And fellow Naija brothers let us join hands in promoting nigeria and nigerians because when a great man is praised for his deeds he wouldnt hesitate in doing another
