Literature / Ebooks, Do Nigerians Really Buy Them ? by doublekay: 12:40am On Jul 19, 2014
een writing for a while and selling on amazon and kobo mostly to americans and people from the uk. I am planning on doing a new work and my target market is nigerians. I have gotten quite a no of discouraging notes from both family and friends all maintaining the stance that no nigerian can pay to buy a book on the internet. Whereas their is google and lots of free source of information online.
They also pointed out that nigerians don't like reading so it will be hard to see people that will be ready to spend to acquire a book on healthy living.

Will really like to know your stance on this, are nigerians really not into ebooks and what is the way around it.thanks

This is a post I got from Enyekwe's Clinic hoping you enjoy, learn and comment on it
I know that by the time you finish going through my story you might be forced to call me a LovePeddler or worse. But before you run into conclusions I just want to let you know that I am but just woman.
During my university days I dated this very handsome and sexy guy called Iyke. Iyke was dynamite in bed and things turned out cool between us. But on graduation we both had to go our separate ways.
2 weeks to my wedding I had to travel to Lagos to buy my wedding gown, as the devil might have it I ran into Iyke he was looking so handsome and sexy that even the most disciplined of women will want to take a bite. I tried my best to avoid anything sensual between us. but my trial resulted to a total loss when later that same day we found out that we were both lodged in the same hotel, ok it happened “an incidence” I am not too proud of
I came back to my base, threw the Lagos experience behind me and started off with my normal life.
My marriage now is 3 years old and I have been leading a happy married life till last month. That faithful day my husband came back with a handsome, sexy though hungry looking young man and told me that he wants this man to start staying with us, he said this man is his childhood friend and that things are a bit rough for him now, so he is going to be staying with us for a while until he finds his feet.
During my husband’s request I was filled with anger, I just felt like shouting on him and throwing the young man out of the house, but I couldn’t do any of the above because the young man sitting in front of me is but my one and only sex idol, my school boyfriend Iyke.
Within me I was waiting for later in the night to look for a way of telling my husband to throw Iyke off the house. But before I could, something happened; during dinner when my husband went into his room to get his drugs, Iyke walked up to me and said, “I know you are not happy to have me in your house but you really have to help me now because I am homeless and needs shelter, so please for old time sake you need to help me.” He even went ahead to threaten that if I don’t want to help he will be tempted to tell my husband that we had sex a few days to our wedding.
Out of compassion and fear I allowed my husband let him stay with us. Little did I know that this will be the biggest mistake of my life.
Now I am living a dog’s life any day I don’t have sex with Iyke in a house built by my husband with his hard earned money I feel incomplete. I no longer care or have regards for my kids. The other day Iyke sneaked home from his new work to meet me at home as usual. But that very day I wasn’t at home alone. I was with bim our last baby (should be about a year old) whom was brought home by the day care attendant on the ground that she was terribly sick. I was preparing to take her to the hospital when Iyke came in. The moment the word “hello” fell out of his mouth my heart started pounding so fast I couldn’t help it, all I wanted to do was drop the baby on the floor and get him inside of me, but I didn’t I had to take the baby to the hospital. But before I knew what was happening I felt Iykes hand on my waist line he drew me closer to himself took the baby from me and dropped her on top of the standing fridge close by. For the 30 minutes or so that followed I was busy making love to Iyke whereas my sick baby was on top of the fridge crying and looking at us (though not knowing what she is seeing) helplessly
Dear clinic I am finished the way things are going sooner or later my husband is going to find out.
Please what do I do? Don’t tell me to stop sleeping with Iyke because so long as he is under the same roof with me I wouldn’t be able to say “no”
Please I will need your candid advice

Health / Is There Really Anything Like “sex Addiction”? by doublekay: 4:32am On Aug 30, 2012
Is there really anything like “sex addiction”?
Just like a friend of mine asked me a few days ago, “Doc is there really anything like sex addiction”. My answer to him was based on a personal experience, and that I am about to share with you.
Some years back, I guess that was during my psychiatry posting. I was in the consulting room with my chief (the consultant neurologist I was under) when this man and his wife walked in. The man complained of his wife being a promiscuous woman, that the woman have gone as far as sleeping with his personal driver and even his own brother, the man went further to say that the word “No” doesn’t exist in the wife’s dictionary. “I am a man with a high libido I know but for the fear of incessant sex demands my wife will keep placing on me I always fear going back home”, the man said. He concluded his complaint by saying I am tired of what I am seeing and hearing, some friends of mine said that this is a psychiatry case and that’s why we are here.
After the man’s complain we had to run some tests on the woman and also ask her some questions so we can ascertain what really the problem is. During the course of her examination we noticed she was holding some information back, so my chief asked the man to excuse us for a while. As the man left the consulting room, out of a reason I can’t really remember I also had to leave the consulting room. Minutes later we all saw my chief running out of the consulting room with his shirt a bit ruffled and guess what the woman made a forceful sex pass to my chief who out of personal self control and professional ethics fled.
Now you answer for yourself; is she not a sex addict (nymphomaniac) knowing his husband is just a few meters away she still went ahead to seek that which her body craves for.
What happened next and how we handled her case I think should be gist for next time
But just know she was handled and she now leaves a normal life and happily with the husband.
And also know that sex addiction is real

Health / Unprotected Sex And How It Can Make Women Feel Happier by doublekay: 5:19am On Aug 24, 2012
while doing a research on the benefits of unprotected sex i ran into this post from thenewage.com and decided to share it with you guys hope you learn one or two from it

The State University of New York study, which scientists carried out via survey rather than through practical experiment, compared the sex lives of 293 females to their mental health.

It follows research, which shows that seminal fluid contains chemicals that elevates mood, increases affection, induces sleep and also contains at least three anti-depressants.

The researchers also claimed that women who have regular unprotected sex are less depressed and perform better on cognitive tests.

Semen contains another of chemicals along with spermatozoa, including cortisol, which is known to increase affection, estrone, which elevates mood and oxytocin, which also elevates mood, the Daily Mail reported.

It also contains thyrotropin-releasing hormone (another antidepressant), melatonin (a sleep-inducing agent), and even serotonin (perhaps the best-known antidepressant neurotransmitter).

Given these ingredients - and this is just a small sample of the mind-altering "drugs" found in human semen - Researchers Gallup and Burch, along with the psychologist Steven Platek, hypothesised that women having unprotected sex should be less depressed than suitable control participants.

To investigate whether semen has antidepressant effects, the authors rounded up 293 college females from the university's Albany campus, who agreed to fill out an anonymous questionnaire about various aspects of their sex lives.

Recent sexual activity without condoms was used as an indirect measure of seminal plasma circulating in the woman's body.

Each participant also completed the Beck Depression Inventory, a commonly used clinical measure of depressive symptoms.

The most significant findings from this study were that, even after adjusting for frequency of sexual intercourse, women who engaged in sex and "never" used condoms showed significantly fewer depressive symptoms than did those who "usually" or "always" used condoms.

Importantly, these chronically condom-less, sexually active women also evidenced fewer depressive symptoms than did those who abstained from sex altogether.

By contrast, sexually active heterosexual women, including self-described "promiscuous" women, who used condoms were just as depressed as those practicing total abstinence.

The research suggests it is not just that women who are having sex are simply happier, but happiness appears to be a function of the seminal fluid pulsing through one's veins.

The study is published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior.

Health / Re: Can Snoring Really Cause Stroke? by doublekay: 10:26am On Aug 10, 2012
Kol: I thought so at first myself until I started doing some research.. Snoring can actually cause stroke

Some leading dental surgeons have discovered that snoring can actually damage the arteries, which can later cause strokes.

While your snoring may be bothering your bed partner, most people consider it otherwise harmless. However, snoring often indicates a serious medical condition called sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea, which is marked by irregular breathing, often causes its sufferers to completely stop breathing for seconds at a time – up to hundreds of times per night! Just like in the case of sneezing when all functions of your body stop momentarily. Sleep apnea is now known to cause a wide range of health problems that include obesity, hypertension, chronic fatigue, depression, poor concentration, memory problems, and more. I have now put up the full story on my blog...http://www.sleekwarehouse.com/snoring-can-cause-stroke/

Food / Re: Why Is Corn Being Sold For N50? by doublekay: 8:28am On Jul 25, 2012
There are many things we should be asking why 4 eg
why should a cup of garri = #30
why should a cup of rice = 350
why should a pot of soup(just for 2) = #2000
why should a litter of fuel cost = a times #110
why should a 2 bedroom flat = 15k a month
why should an average worker's earnings = #70000

My dear if we keep asking our why, for sure we will keep getting the same answer "error in the countries processing system please format hard disk"

Use to come from a family of six but for 4 yrs now not even one of his family members have called his phone(a nokia 1100 tied with rubber band (guess you are asking your self is that phone is still in existence)) for they have lost hope and confidence in him. His name is Ben a graduate with second class upper if you should know

..Dirty Blood can mean multiple things, it is commonly used to describe a skin condition

Usually when the blood cells are not able to load their poison and toxins through the Kidneys

Your body will use the skin instead.

Long story short it's a red blood cell condition. and(or) kidney condition.

Your friend may not have understood the diagnosis of what he was told, and just simply stated he has dirty blood.
@ royal no offense intended but i want to ask, this your definition of dirty blood: is it your personal definition, is it what you think, is it a native doctors definition or is it a definition orthodox medicine based ? and if orthodox please can you refer me to a work from a respected authority in the field of medicine saying so. thanks
