Xenry: I want to buy USDT and keep in my Binance account. I don't want to have big amount of Naira with me. Should I buy now that dollar is N1485 or should I wait? Don't think twice buy it. Don't be deceived by this news you are hearing. APC government is still doing "try and error" . It will still touch 1500. There is no serious economic reform in place that will drive dollar down. Sooner than you expected you will see dollar continue going up. Please take action now. Although this is my opinion. If I am in ur position right now, I will buy |

I have HND here in naija, but when I am applying, I don't see colleges with pgd( post graduate studies) instead I see advanced diploma. Or diploma to BSC. Please what do I do?. If I apply for advanced diploma with is equivalent to the one I have here don't you think VO might reject my visa. Please anybody in college or anyone who have answer should kindly answer me. Lekiboboe: The IELTS requirement you see in college admission requirements is mostly for countries whose Official language is not ENGLISH E.g India, Vietnam, China etc..
They recognize Nigeria as an English speaking country.
As an HND holder, you are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate Program in a College

zubizareta: I want to understand you because you obviously don't know how this is calculated. If you want to show pof for a year, you have to add annual tuition, living expenses of 10k and miscellaneous of 4k. Now this your 18k barely covers 14k living expenses and miscellaneous. So is the 4k for tuition ot what? I assumed the 18k is tuition alone, so your funds can't even cover for one year. Okay wonderful explanation. I think I mapped out 3k for up keep. Anyways thanks for following me up . I will do the needful. Thanks |

ShowYoung: That is what you think, but I am telling you what I know and am sure of.
Reasons and Proofs
1. HND is assessed to be equivalent to PostGrad. Cert. by WES Canada.
2. If PostGrad. Cert is higher than Bachelor Degree, then HND is higher than Bachelor Degree.
3. Recently, an HND holder got admission to a PhD-- Doctoral Degree-- program in a US university direct without having a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
4. In Express Entry, HND gets 22 points, Bachelor Degree gets 20 points.
5. You should also note that Nigerian HND is higher than and different from the UK HND based on course load and credit units.
6. I can mention at least 10 UK universities accepting HND direct to master's degree programs. Also, I can mention at least 5 US universities accepting HND direct to master's degree programs.
7. You may want to ask for more evidence if the ones above are not satisfactory enough. You sound so convincingly that was why I never wanted to say you are wrong from your first comment, rather to keep an open minded until I got desired explanation |

alphabbey1: . . (18,000 + 10,000 + 4,000) × 600 = 19,200,000 Naira (For a One year program) . . And for 2 years program and more, you definitely need to show you have a way of paying the remaining amount without working in Canada... MPower loan is your best bet for the Bsc program.. What is mpower loan, sir? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by doublestar21(m): 1:06pm On Jul 13, 2023 |
ShowYoung: Firstly, your 14m is not enough for a one-year program if the tuition fee is more than $11.5k; because as of now, the official CBN rate is $1/599.6-- that is, 1 Canadian Dollar is equal to around 600 Naira.
Why go for a diploma when you can go for a post graduate diploma or post graduate certificate? Note that diploma courses are usually 2 years. Your funds cannot even cater for a one-year year program not to talk of going for a two-year course. PGD/PGC usually take from 8 months or more.
You should note that HND is higher than Diploma, Associate Degree and Advance Diploma.
In Canada, HND is higher than Bachelor Degree because it is assessed to be equal to Post Graduate Certificate by WES. Thanks for educating me because I am just hearing for the first time that HND is higher than bachelors degree. Wonderful!!. But after pgd or pgc, don't you think they might not offer me or at most one year of work after studies?. How do I go about getting more years to work if I should go for pgd or pgc. Any advice?. Thanks |

justmoveglobal: 1. Because you had HND you should go to college for either a 1yr program or 2yrs depending on the course 2. Don't apply for BSc when you already have HND 3. Go to any college 4. you can use your parents and also your acct too in combine Thanks sir. But you said I shouldn't apply for BSC when I already have hnd. Please why do you say so. Is that two years course not same as diploma I have here in Nigeria?. What will the result not bear diploma after graduation?. Thanks. macsilver: Sadly, yes. You should show proof of funds for the entire stay.
As the other gentleman has said, you can simply go for a 2 years course, then get a 3 years post study work permit, and you’re good! Wow 😲😲😲 , really?. I am hearing it for the first time here that the proof of fund should cover all the whole tution fees you need for those years you will stay there. I was thinking 🤔🤔 initially, that one year tution fee is good to go Then how possible is it to apply for two years course and get three year pgwp. Is it realistic to you boss?. Because I am hearing that you if you apply for two years, they will issue you one year |

zubizareta: Ppl with BSc have gone for diploma and gotten Visa. It's basically how you package the sop and the importance of that diploma program to your work or business.
How many years were you planning to show for your pof? You don't have to show Funds for the whole 4 years though but if you can, why not?
If your tuition is 18k per year. Your 14m will not even cover one year if you planned to show one year pof. Thanks for letting me know people with bsc can go for diploma as well Really?. I was planning to show one year pof. And I think 18k is approximately 11m so why do you think 14 is not enough sir?. Please using 18k for instance. How much do you think will be okay for pof. Thanks for all your swift response. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by doublestar21(m): 6:25pm On Jul 12, 2023 |
zubizareta: That shouldn't be what is driving you to do a 4 years program. Do you have the pof for 4 years? So you don't chop several refusals oo.
If it's the years if pgwp you are more concerned about, you can go for 2 years then once you done can do another program. But it's not even necessary when ppl have done 1 year program and gotten PR Wait ooo. I was preparing for pof of 14m. Do I have to have the pof of the whole 4 years in my account before leaving?. Let's me assume the figure you used before which is 18k annual can't 14m serve as proof of funnd? Secondly, the two years course you talk about, what certificate will they offer me? And is the two years course done in university or college. Lastly if college will issue me diploma, don't you think they might deny me visa reason being going from (diploma) HND in Nigeria to another diploma again in Canada. Sorry for stressing you with my questions . |

zubizareta: 1. Both of them are good. Infact some graduate dipma courses prepare and equip you enough to immediately attack the labour market plus their tution are relatively cheaper and easier to get admission.
2. Why not go for diploma program. Well, you have a good chance to get admission into a BSc program
3. Check for colleges
4. You can use your parents, or yourself.
Final advice, before you start applying to get that admission, I will advise you cool down and calculate your pof. Not when you apply and get a 4 years BSc program of annual tuition of 18k CAD, you will now start battling with pof. Check your budget and let it guide your choice of school or program.
Goodluck Thanks boss. But I heard the years they will give me to work after graduation 🎓 might be smaller. What do you think sir?. Thanks a lot |

I have my hand finished school 5 years ago. So the question is
1. Between college and university which one is good considering the cost and working years after graduation
2. If I apply for BSC will I stand a chance to get admitted
3. Which school are you advicing me to go to considering having HND?
4. Is it okay to use my parents as sponsor or use my own account for statement of account?
God bless you as you help out |
