HealthRe: Why A Pregnant Woman Should Avoid Alcohol During Pregnancy by Dozis(op): 3:25pm On Feb 19, 2023
I write blog posts on drugs and diseases, if there is anything you would want me to publish that would be helpful to your health. I will try and source the material and write it within a day.
HealthWhy A Pregnant Woman Should Avoid Alcohol During Pregnancy by Dozis(op): 3:24pm On Feb 19, 2023
There is higher incidence of pregnant women taking alcohol right now in the society and this is alarming considering the risks associated with alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
A neighbour asked me about it today and I decided to source materials and write about it.

Pregnancy is a special time when a woman's body goes through many changes to support the growth and development of a new life. It is essential to take good care of oneself during this time to ensure the health and wellbeing of the growing baby. One of the most important things that a pregnant woman can do for her baby is to avoid alcohol during pregnancy.

Here are some of the reasons why avoiding alcohol during pregnancy is so important:

Increased Risk of Miscarriage
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy has been associated with an increased risk of miscarriage. This risk increases with the amount of alcohol consumed. Women who drink heavily during the first trimester of pregnancy are more likely to miscarry than women who do not drink.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS)
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) is a serious condition that can occur in babies who are exposed to alcohol in the womb. It can cause a range of physical, behavioral, and cognitive problems, including facial abnormalities, growth deficits, learning difficulties, and intellectual disability. FAS is a lifelong condition that cannot be cured.

Other Alcohol-Related Birth Defects
Even if a baby is not diagnosed with FAS, exposure to alcohol in the womb can still cause other birth defects, such as heart defects, kidney problems, and hearing and vision problems.

Preterm Birth and Low Birth Weight
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy has been linked to an increased risk of preterm birth, which can lead to a range of health problems for the baby. Babies born to women who drink during pregnancy are also more likely to be born with a low birth weight, which can also lead to health problems.

Increased Risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
Babies born to women who drink during pregnancy are at increased risk of SIDS, which is the sudden, unexplained death of a baby under one year of age.

Negative Effects on the Mother
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can also have negative effects on the mother's health. It can increase the risk of high blood pressure, liver disease, and certain types of cancer.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why a pregnant woman should avoid alcohol during pregnancy. Even small amounts of alcohol can have serious consequences for the developing fetus, including an increased risk of miscarriage, FAS, other alcohol-related birth defects, preterm birth, low birth weight, and SIDS. Moreover, drinking alcohol during pregnancy can also have negative effects on the mother's health. It is therefore best to err on the side of caution and avoid alcohol altogether during pregnancy.

If you are pregnant and struggling with alcohol use, there is help available. Talk to your healthcare provider or a trusted professional for support and resources to help you quit drinking during pregnancy. Remember, the health and wellbeing of your growing baby depend on it.

Now that Malami has asked Supreme court to dismiss the suit, hope APC goons can call out Buhari instead of Emefiele.

Been battling hepatitis B a over a year now and it is give me a lot issues.

A nurse friend of mine suggested I find a good pharmacist to recommend a multivitamin drug that is designed to boost immunity and not interfere with the antiviral drugs I am taking
Something with zinc and selenium that provide added antiviral response
She said eating enough fruits to boost my immunity is obviously an uphill task for me and high dies of vitamin C is out of the question ,

I once read one of your stories a while back about offering a customer another drug that does same thing as the one she was looking for and a quake nurse treating her rejected it so felt you are knowledgeable enough about the Nigerian drug market to advice me
Alright, I will get back to you

Just shut up already. Is Erythromycin indicated for acne and is that nonsense you wrote there the normal dose of Erythromycin?
Rubbish, that's how you people contribute to antibiotics resistance.

yea it's acne, but a moderate to severe inflammatory category. Benzyl peroxide can only serve as adjuvant therapy.
I would have advised antibiotics but this is a public forum, I hate abuse of antibiotics.

It looks like a boil, from my observation in the picture, you look like someone who has a sensitive skin, boil most times occur from 2 sources, internally or externally through infection or in some cases, excess oil(pimple lump), this one looks like an infection due the speed of the growth, I've had a similar one over night, and it might keep getting bigger and very painful.

Solution:

1. Get amplicux, take 1 in the morning and 1 at night till you finish the sachet.
2. Get a strong anti-bacteria cream from the chemist and rub daily till you begin to see it go down.

Note : this is what I did for mine, I've experienced it like twice. But you can still visit the chemist to help you proper.

To prevent future occurrence, get spirit or detol, anytime you have a cut around your face or private part, apply them immediately, those are the major areas the infection gets its way, I heard people with blood type O suffer from it more, don't know how true...
Please don't ever prescribe this again to anyone.
Ampiclox 1 twice daily?
Kai!!
